Sorry to hear that PA Caitlin is not going to be there when or if I return next year for my skin…read morecheckup. She has always been thorough, friendly and professional with me through the years. It's very hard to find truly great people to put your trust into, but I've always been happy with the staff there for the most part. I'll think it through for a little bit. As you get older, you seem to form bonds of trust that are unshakable. I wish Caitlin the best in her career. She's the best!

He operated a MOHS above the hairline and was so…read morecareless and negligent - as was his stitching PA Mike Dulay - that the wound healed and scarred over so there's a bald patch now instead of stitching it properly where the hair can grow back again. I feel like this is stitching 101 in medical school. I know there are very few rare instances where the scalp can't be stitched together, but by and large, it's not only possibly but COMMONLY DONE so that the scalp is brought together again so hair can grow unhindered. Now there's permanent irreparable damage done and there's nobody to answer to because it's not severe enough of a deformity to warrant a medical malpractice lawsuit, but believe me I explored that option. Do yourself a favor and STEER FAR AND CLEAR from Upstate Dermatology for EVERYTHING other than simple, standard, common issues that their staff can handle. Seriously, I would be suing if I could. Dr. Neal is literally the worst. If you don't believe me, check out the rest of his reviews.

For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars…read moremeans I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. I know several friends and acquaintances who have had skin cancer, and I know someone who passed away from it, so I try to stay vigilant about my skin. That is a big change from my younger years when I spent hours in the sun without protection and never thought twice about it. After noticing a few areas of concern, I scheduled an appointment in early October. The first available visit was early February, but I kept it because I wanted peace of mind and to stay proactive. The Latham location was easy to get to and there was plenty of parking. The office was clean, spacious, and welcoming. I was greeted right away, completed new patient paperwork, and was taken back within a few minutes. After discussing my concerns with the technician, Dr. Menon came in shortly after. She was warm, upbeat, and thorough. She carefully examined the areas I mentioned and determined they were not cancerous, which was a huge relief. After waiting months for the appointment, getting clear answers and reassurance meant a lot. Checkout was smooth and there were no insurance issues. The visit felt organized, professional, and patient focused from start to finish. I highly recommend this practice for anyone who wants to be proactive about caring for their skin. This is a place I would gladly return to and definitely will. 5 stars.

I was told that once they had received the blood test results they would call me to set up an appointment. I got the test at Lab Corp. They said they would send their report to Magnolia. Over a week passed so I called to find out where we stood. Then the fun began. You can't talk to a person, you leave a message and they'll call you back. But no one calls. I wait a week and try another call. This time I was told I was #2 in line and I would have 3 minute wait. Their robot then changed that wait time to 2 min. then 1 min. then 6 and 7 min, respectfully, Dr.Tracy may well be a fine doctor, but how do you get in touch with her.

Frustrating customer experience. Potential racism. Absolutely treated me like a fool…read more Their messaging/call center is obtuse and frustrating. I've had to repeat that my insurance will not approve a medication the office provided several times and only gotten it resolved by going directly to an office to speak with a staff member. The Port Jervis location in NY has a receptionist who gives me (a person of color) dirty looks each time I go there. Even asking for the wi-fi password they did not seem to appreciate that I was speaking to them. Today I went to follow up because I had to get bloodwork submitted to them in order to try Accutane. They were supposed to call me but I had no messages from them. Turns out they called me "a million times" according to the acting physician and because they need "consistent follow-up" they decided I am not a good fit for Accutane. Mind, I'm not on it nor was it ordered. I apologized because I'd been having phone issues and asked to just update my contact info. They repeated what they'd said and when I said "okay" they turned around and left. I did the same. No asking me if I would like a follow-up appointment, no further elaboration. "Yeah so we asked you to do bloodwork and we were going to call you to confirm when we received it, we called you a million times including your emergency numbers and you didn't respond, so we feel you are not a good fit, we're not going to do anything about it have a good day no we don't care that you're sorry." I was on Azelaic Acid and Trentinoin for a while. They gave me a month supply which was a single tube. I had to go to 2 visits for them to agree that my skin damage was too extensive for one tube a month. I spoke with an older doctor who saw the damage and said "yeah, you need more than Acid/Trentinoin." Completely invalidated what the last 3 doctors said. Every doctor I spoke to after him gave me a side-eye like I wasn't supposed to know that.
