I went to see him because there was a tiny little piece of glass in the ball of my foot. I broke a wine glass and a tiny shard went into my foot. It's been hurting & driving me crazy. I couldn't reach it to get it out and so I had my husband try to pick it out with a needle. He wasn't able to get it. He felt it with a needle but he wasn't able to get it out. So I figure a podiatrist would probably be able to help me. He was condescending from the get-go. He told me that he would NEVER try to pick any glass out with a needle. We'll shoot, I've been doing that my whole life. Stupid me! I was just desperate to get this glass out of my foot. So anyway he begins to probe in there and he's very close but not quite on it. He's scraping and probing in there and I keep saying it's a little more to the left. And then he grabs a different tool and it was very very close. In fact it was touching the little piece of glass. I could feel right where the glass was and he was so so close to removing it. But he just kept saying no. I don't see anything. But it was so close. I felt like he was touching it but not digging quite deep enough to get it out. He just kept saying "there's nothing in there" I don't feel anything. I kept saying yes there is! You're so close!. (And you have to remember that I am feeling pretty desperate at this point because it's been hurting me for several days.) And when someone is so close to removing that little piece of glass you keep encouraging them to PLEASE keep going. But he was talking condescending to me, being argumentative and contrary rather than helpful. He acted all put out and irritated at me. I could feel that there was conflict and it was stressful. I just didn't want him to give up so quickly because I felt like relief was just around the corner if he would slow down and really try to feel for it. Anyways, He stopped & I put my sock on. It was an awful experience & really weird & awkward. I was hoping that he would help me and he just didn't seem to want to help me and kept fighting me tooth and nail the whole time. It was very weird. I mean I think every human on earth knows when there's a little piece of glass in their foot. We're not idiots. You can tell if there's a a piece of glass in there. Even if it's a tiny piece, you can feel it every time your foot hits the ground. Apparently he couldn't find it. That's not really the point I suppose. I don't blame him for not finding it. He tried. It's just the way he treated me. The way he talked to me through the entire procedure. I could tell that he thought I was annoying and obnoxious. It is not bad behavior to be proactive about your health care. I took time off of work and made an appointment to come here. I desperately needed his help. He just seemed to give up too quickly and indicated that I must be imagining things. I'm not. And at the end he just got up and walked out and didn't say goodbye or didn't say "check back in a week" or anything at all. He just bolted out of there in a huff. So I sat there wondering if I'm supposed to wait for him to come back, or do I just leave now? He just left angrily and I felt freaking awful. It was unnecessary conflict. If he would have been comforting & friendly & warm about it everything would have went differently. But he treated me badly from the get-go. Condescending from the get go. From the very beginning he was kind of argumentative about it. It's hard to describe how it was but it just felt like he wasn't on my side. Like he was against me. Going to doctors is challenging quite often. I've had doctors be condescending or rude or short with me before. But this time I am just not going to take it. I don't like how he treated me. I don't like how he got up and just left me there I don't like how he talked down to me like I was an idiot. He handled the whole appointment badly. I should not leave a doctors appt feeling anxious & ashamed. It was awful. Waste of time.

Of course they didn't see me. Big ugly brunette walked out to make snarky comments as I walked out. They put comments on my insur resulting in rude treatment from the next "2" medical appointments I went to. These people are retaliatory and the doctors are too because they didn't stop it. Be professional. Not ugly.

I expected that undergoing the removal of both large toe nails would be a most painful process; but it wasn't at all. Sans a couple TINY little fleeting sparks of discomfort, I'd felt nothing but a bit of pressure throughout the entire surgical removal of those toe nails! Afterwards, that night and the next few days were incredibly pain free. There were a few little fleeting sensations of soreness but that was to be expected. As a matter of fact, the only real pain I experienced was at my own hands... or should I say, feet! Lol. I accidentally stubbed one of those toes on my coffee table. They are both healing well, and I'm thankful that I chose Dr. Bondi because he's obviously done this a few 100 times... He was amazing!!! I highly recommend him!!!

When I contacted my Insurance company I discovered Advanced Foot Care (AFC) had incorrect billing and the Insurance company denied the bills with instruction how to correct the bills. I called AFC and asked them to re-bill. I just received another bill from AFC and I haven't called my insurance to understand why some of the bills were not paid. Additionally a hand written note is on my bill which states "The billing is yours pay by January 31st or collections." Horrible billing dept for this provider which lowers the overall rating. I would avoid as the billing department is unprofessional, as I have no issue with paying what I owe, but as long as the billing to the Insurance is correct.

Sapperstein,…read morelongtime DPM in Lees Summit & Osage Beach, Mo., however the Lees Summit location lacked courtesy from a young front desk employee (left a Real BAD taste in my mouth as the first impression of any business is EVERYTHING)! This young female lacked professionalism & common courtesy which is a very poor reflection of the Dr.'s office & is NOT what I am used to (even in the midst of a Pandemic). I was not greeted & I felt I was a bother. This was a Horrible feeling as a FIRST TIME patient & if my feet were not bothering me so bad I would've exited, stage left immediately! This person was not at all pleasant as I was nonchalantly handed paperwork. Upon completion of it I kindly asked for a copy of one of the forms & was looked at as if I was Frankenstein. Is it no longer customary to ask for a copy? If so, she could've shared that (nicely) & I may have been alright. I really should've stopped her right there as she was initially given a pass for her unprofessional behavior & curt attitude. I held my peace, but believe me, by now my blood is Boiling! Dr. Sapperstein was pretty much on schedule & when called in the assistant that GREETED me was nice. Dr. Sapperstein was personable, professional & had a welcoming bedside manner which made me feel much better. The entire front desk experience was cold. Before leaving I had to make another appointment & still the same funkified attitude. Unbelievable! Bad day for her? Maybe. How bout that's not MY fault. Office Manager (or even Dr. Sapperstein) please have a conversation with this employee on the importance of showing kindness to patients & being a better representative of your office/business.
