I showed up a bit early and Sydney (my Occupational Therapist) was already there expecting me. She was very patient and helpful in finding the right one for me at the lowest possible cost. She also made sure I knew how to take the splint off. She also took time to explain how my injury was healing, so that I knew why I had to have the splint on 100% of the time over the next few weeks. The benefits coordinator (?) Sarah was also great, she had to stay on the phone with the insurance company while helping another patient check in as she came in. No one wishes to have to have PT or OT, but if you do, then SERC is the place to ensure a positive experience for you.

I injured my shoulder in the fall of 2019. I had 2 cortisone shots from my doctor by the time I…read morehad my first visit with Brian @ Laughlin Physical Therapy in June of 2020. Covid was in full swing, and I was in so much pain and had very little movement in my left (dominant) arm. I was taking over the counter painkillers morning, noon, and night, and was not getting relief. I thought I was going to have to have surgery to repair my injured left shoulder. Over the first few visits, Brian, assessed my injury, my movements, what caused pain, or didn't cause pain and taught me small movements to practice at home until we met again. Brian isolated where the pain was; down the arm, in the back side of shoulder, in the armpit, along the neck and shoulders and gave me exercises to practice at home for these areas. He taught me exercises with specific movements to strengthen my shoulder muscles. Brian incorporated dry needling to help with the pain, and what a game changer it was. The dry needling and physical therapy I received at Laughlin has been some of the best pain relief and hands on, constructive therapy I have ever received for an injury. The Best! In all it took about 6-7 months to clear up my shoulder issue. I have full mobility. I went from not being able to raise my hand over my head, hold a cast iron pan, clean the floor, vacuum, or any of the fun things I love to do - Kayak, carpentry, bowling. I had no idea how depressed I was when I started going to Laughlin Physical therapy due to how limited my life had become because of my injury. Brian helped me gain strength, decrease the pain I was suffering, increased my confidence in trusting my arm movements and postures, to do things I love doing. I am forever grateful for the skilled, precise, and innovative physical therapy training he taught me. I highly recommend Laughlin and their staff. From the front desk to the physical therapists - they all do a fantastic job.

I love Trumove! I was D-O-N-E with physical therapy before I was recommended to try out Trumove. My…read morefriend Doug talked to me for weeks about how much his chronic back and hip pain had decreased since starting PT. He also mentioned Dry Needling, which I hadn't heard of, though I had tried Acupuncture before. (Let me tell you, acupuncture and dry needling couldn't be more different. If you have knots in your muscles, you MUST try dry needling!) Because of my chronic back pain, I was nearly immobile and damn near bedridden. I had Degenerative Disc Disease in my L5-S1 disc, sciatica pain which ran down my glutes ask the way to my feet. I had tried physical therapy before, but I didn't like that he therapy at other PTs was not one on one appointments. My therapist was always bouncing between me and 3 other patients at a time. My first appointment was with Ethan McCoy. It was a one on one session which started with needling. I got worse from physical therapy the last time I tried it, so I had NO intention of doing PT beyond dry needling. But Ethan talked to me about the necessity to "get moving" and said he could help me. I reluctantly scheduled some appointments for PT and I've never been more happy with that decision. I went from having deflated, atrophied muscles throughout my entire body to now down 28 pounds from consistent exercise multiple times a week and walking everyday, and I'm now showing more fun, lean muscle mass. Ethan and the staff and their support has completely changed my outlook on physical therapy. I went from barely being able to walk a few city blocks to walking up to 4-5 miles a day. Ethan has taught me the importance of consistency of movement. He's been my biggest cheerleader when it comes to my workout progress. He helped me get into shape before I had Disc Replacement Surgery on August 1, 2020. He continues to help me post-surgery while my doctors are working to continue to find solutions to my pain. I am forever grateful for Trumove and the immense changes in me since I first walked into their doors. I couldn't have done it without Ethan McCoy. I walk in twice a week to the smiles and welcomed from Kenny and Taiwan. I've literally never met a nicer staff than everyone who is employed at Trumove. If you're in pain and looking for a solution, you HAVE to give them a call. You won't regret it...Because your life will change immensely. xx Love and Light!!
