They informed me that they needed consultation from my primary. They were waiting for the response from my primary. I called 2 weeks later and they said they had not received anything from my primary. They advised me to call my primary as they had sent a request through a fax. I called my primary and they indicated that they had sent the response. I waited another week and called Heartland again. They said they had not received anything from the doctor. Again I called my primary. Again they said they sent the response. Well it's been 2 weeks and I have been waiting for Heartland to call me and let me know if the surgery has been scheduled. I don't think I should have to keep calling them to find out about the surgery. They should let me know when it is scheduled. I am through dealing with them since they are not very efficient. Now I'm glad that I'm not going to do business with them. Do not visit them.

I have no issue with Dr Kuhn at all. He is knowledgeable and answered all my questions, had me come back for a foot x-ray the next week and we would schedule the outpatient surgery. The problem was I could not get the proper follow up with the scheduling nurse. I left a voice message on her phone twice in two weeks with no call back. The second call in the second week, I got a person who answered the phone and told her why I had called and asked that the scheduling nurse call me. A couple days later, I received the call and got the procedure scheduled as needed with the promise she would call the week of surgery to explain what medicine to avoid before surgery, what shoes to wear or if a surgery shoe would be provided, and so on. People, with doctors and their staff, you have to advocate for yourself is all I can recommend for this particular office. Doctor: good, Staff: too busy to follow up.
