There is some debate on of Pueblo or Hatch chilis are the best. They specifically mentioned getting the dynamite because it is more spicy or the hottest green chili. I had to try it out. I bought a bushel of the dynamite and had them roast garlic in with it. I made some green pozole and it was very good. If you are passing through or even if it is a little out of the way it is well worth stopping. So there is more work involved, you need to de seed and a little prep to store these but in my opinion it is well worth it. Stop by and check them out.

We make a trip to DiSanti Farms every year around the end of September. We always purchase two…read morebushels of Pueblo chilies for ourselves and then a couple more for family and friends. We generally arrive on a Friday around noon and there may or may not be a line. It's okay as there is something therapeutic about watching them roast the chilies accompanied by the smell. Fall is in the air. We bring several coolers with to keep the chilies warm and to seal the smell in for the ride back to Castle Rock. Once we get home we spread the chilies out on our patio table to allow them to cool. We then bag about 8 chilies in quart size freezer bags. We get about 27 bags of chilies per bushel. The chilies are always tasty and the level of heat fluctuates from year to year. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

We did visit in early fall, so the pickings might be better now. I would love to see some goats roaming around, eating the grass, munching on fallen apples and pears. Will definitely be returning before end of season.

I saw big boxes full of pumpkins so I think they're bought and put out on the lawn vs being grown on the premise. Also kinda expensive! My pumpkin was big and beautiful but ended up being $12. That being said, admission is free so it's not too bad. There are cute photo opportunities throughout the pumpkin patch area and it's pet friendly so I took some cute pictures of my kitten. The hay ride is fun and takes you to the gift shop which has lots of jams, syrups and a cafe. Sadly they were out of apple cider donuts and didn't have as much pumpkin treats as I would have wanted. Also there is no corn maze :( Overall, it's a fun little orchard and pumpkin patch that's near Colorado Springs. Id recommend going early if you want to try to catch the apple cider donuts!

Mostly meat and cheese focused, so I was missing fresh veggies, but I understand why they keep the ingredient list basic. The shop itself is very clean, well organized and with lots of different cheese selections as well as other items that go well with cheese. I have had their cheese before from other local business and am excited to try the new ones I picked up today with my sandwich. Great little treasure in Pueblo!

When I was there one of the ladies working made calls to multiple people to let them know their specific plants had arrived and they can come get them. The plants are reasonably priced. They have fish ponds that are fun to look at while we are there and a kitty who roams around. I really enjoy this little shop.

Their dried beans are fantastic, and the variety of green chili products is impressive, spices, cheese, roasted peppers, tortillas, green chili Alfredo, ketchup, BBQ sauce... and that's just the start. The food is consistently great, and I love that they ship almost everything (sadly, not the pies--but that just gives you a reason to come back!).
