Do you sell peppered turkey jerky? If not could you make some if I ordered? I live in Pueblo I would pick up in person.

We actually don't sell turkey jerky. I will look into the process of making turkey jerky and possible recipes and see what we can do.

First…read moretime, the girls at the counter were so rude and so wrapped up and giggling, and being on their cell phones, they couldn't get my order right to save their life. Then they walked away, after I explained twice, nicely, that they should be off their phones, paying attention to the customer and be thorough with their order. They then told some 12 yr old looking kid, who looked lost, staring in the opposite direction, to finish my order. He was LOST, tho I extended him grace, thanked him,and grabbed my food. As I am walking out, the meat cutter looked at me, and I just looked at him and said you gotta do something about those girls . He said one was definitely a problem and the other needed to step it up. He apologized and gave me a couple slices of bacon to try at home on the house . Second time I went in was about a month later, and they basically threw the food at me on the counter after it was up , the silverware went on the floor. I only ordered, never spoke any other word, different people that time. I merely picked up my food and walked out. 3rd time, today, I ordered 3/4 # carne meat and 1/4 pork fat. The girl had only put, 1/3 one in a container, I asked " what was that" nicely, wondering if it was something, different. I explained that I had asked for 3/4 pound and a3 pound of the pork fat . She said " then why don't you say what do you mean?" My switch flipped‼ I said you know this is the third time that I've come in here and every time I have an issue I don't have an issue eating anywhere else on the Southside, she was already signed and rolling her eyes at me and she nasty responded. Well" me either." Ask her if it was my speech or my pronunciation and she didn't hear me right ? She said no, " it's none of that". " you just need to tell it like it is and speak what you want." I held my tongue, and I then grabbed my food. I asked for utensils she handed them to me. , it didn't look like there was any type of a manager, and I don't know who owns this place, but there should be beyond shame upon them. I only went there today upon my wife's prompting because she wanted some pork fat. That girl today was an absolute CUNNT‼ I hope this establishment closes and never reopens another business Again!

I speak from experience when I say that this area is crime-ridden. The first thing that came to my mind was that she was signaling to someone that I was a good mugging target. It was a Sunday at 9pm as the store, and the town, were closing down for the night. In the parking lot was an idling car just a few feet away and my mind continued to race... were they waiting for me? Or were they just waiting for an employee to get off work? It felt like forever to get my groceries in the car. Now I had to make sure that idling car wasn't following me. Being a 64 year old female on oxygen, nothing will send me back to that store.

Yes, some prices are higher than the national chains, but some are the same and some are lower. The store employees are friendly and helpful. The hidden gem of this store is the fresh baked bread and rolls. Each day a truck comes from Denver around 2-3 p.m. and delivers still-hot items. The hoagie type rolls are 3 for $1.00, huge in size, delicious and a bargain. Some of their sourcing is extremely unique. An example, bottled sauerkraut from Bavaria. Totally unlike anything made in the U.S. Much milder. This store deserves a try from everyone. The company originated in Los Angeles and carved out a niche by servicing a largely Hispanic clientele. The Colorado operation I suspect originally was a franchise type set-up, but it is now employee owned.
