I am a young professional and have had State Farm for just under two years as of now. I have to say, their customer support and agents exceeded my expectations and I absolutely love my insurance agent. Everyone always looks at me oddly because when insurance is brought up, I always speak so highly of my insurance agent. Joe Stretch, you're amazing! I insured my original old Nissan Sentra with them when I first got State Farm. The price was fair - one of the better quotes I got. Then, I got rid of the Nissan and leased a brand new 2018 Honda Civic SE and, of course, changed my policy. Joe was extremely thorough throughout this process and set expectations if he ever felt like there was potential for misunderstanding. Essentially, it's a brand new car and it's a lease so of course I expected my insurance to go up a little. We were on the same page here but I appreciated him walking me through it. Joe also made sure to apply any discounts to my policy whenever I qualified for one, which I appreciated a lot! My new car was protected and on the road and I was loving life. Then, I hit a few roadblocks and State Farm was there for me 100% of the time. For example, one day I woke up to paint splatters on my car. I contacted my agent, Joe, to ask him if my insurance covered this and he provided all of the information I needed, which included my deductible if I wanted to file a claim. Although I didn't end up filing a claim in this case, it meant a lot that Joe was there to answer and clarify any inquiries I had about my policy in this context. The only reason I didn't file a claim is because I found a friend who had the material to remove the paint splatters. One huge incident, that really showcased how supportive State Farm is, was a car accident I recently got into in the beginning of January 2019. I got into a pretty big accident on highway 17. My car was totaled. My one worry about filing a claim and such was feeling like I was being accused. This was my first accident ever and I didn't know what to expect and was also not clear about how the claim would go if I was leasing the car. I can honestly say that State Farm was incredibly helpful and supportive and they never once made me feel in the wrong. In fact, they seemed mostly concerned about my health and consistently checked in to make sure I was recovering okay. Of course, my agent was there to answer any questions I had and to clarify any steps throughout the process. Reading over our email threads, I feel like he was incredibly patient because I was even asking him questions that were most likely outside of the scope of what he had to answer. I literally asked him any question that came to mind related to the accident, my car, advice about my lease, etc. and he always responded promptly and thoughtfully. The claims team was also very on top of everything. If I ever called to confirm next steps, they usually tried to take care of as much as they could while I was on the line but never kept me waiting too long. Our calls were incredibly productive. I can't thank Joe and State Farm enough for having my back throughout the course of this process. Joe really does treat his clients like his family. You might be thinking that this post is a result of a claim that turned out great for me. It actually is still yet to be determined. From what I know so far, everything is making sense and falling into place. I just wanted to take the time to share that this experience would have been a lot worse if my insurance company wasn't on my side. I have NEVER encountered such patient, understanding, friendly,& honest customer service over the phone until I spoke with State Farm agent Samantha Harper. I was looking to insure my car with a limited budget I'm mind. Not only did they take the time to find me ALL the discounts avail to me, they put an awesome bundle deal together that was within my budget! AND they explained coverage in plain English that was simple to understand! THANK YOU Samantha/State Farm i look forward to a long commitment with you guys for years to come! Joe Stretch is the best insurance agent we have had by a long shot. He is a genuinely nice guy and provides impeccable customer service. We recently switched from AAA and have found that State Farm is substantially less money for a much more robust and comprehensive insurance package. Joe took the time to ask the right questions and provided us with a turnkey insurance package that exactly fit our needs - something other insurance companies have never done in the past. I have had State Farm my whole life but when I changed my agent to Joe I didn't realize how unprofessional and unhelpful my previous agent was. Joe introduced me to services other than insurance that I didn't know State Farm offered such as home loans, life insurance, and money investing. I called in to for a auto quote, Gabi and Joe were able to compare the price for the same coverage as what I currently had, then made suggestions for what coverage they think is best. They explained what everything actually meant (no one had ever done this for me), and they were able to add discounts to my policy so I ended up with double the coverage with a smaller monthly payment!
