Chris and his wife have built something special. The shop is clean, welcoming, and incredibly well thought out. Whether you're looking for a comfortable couch to relax, a family table, an individual workspace with power outlets, or just a quiet place to read a book, they've created a space that works for everyone. One of my favorite touches was their community book exchange. Grab a book, enjoy a coffee or pastry, read for a while there or at home, and bring it back when you're finished. It's a simple idea, but it adds a lot of character to the shop. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I went with the COMBAT CLUB sandwich (ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, garlic aoli on sourdough), chips, a Diet Coke, and a Reese's peanut butter cookie. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The sandwich was loaded with meat and made for a great lunch. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. You order and they'll call out your name for pick up when it's ready. I also got to meet Cassie, the service dog who quietly hangs out in her own little corner. She was adorable and perfectly behaved. What stood out most wasn't any single menu item... it was the atmosphere. The entire place feels like it was designed to bring people together. Between places like Roundabout Deli, Hatsu Hibachi, and now IGY6 Coffee Company, Dawsonville is building a reputation for some truly outstanding locally owned businesses. It's the perfect place to relax, study, or catch up with friends. They have such a huge variety of drinks to choose from - smoothies, teas, matcha, and basically any coffee you can think of. My personal favorites are the cold brew and the Cococolada latte, both are AMAZING every single time. They also sell wine and pastries which is such a fun touch, even though I haven't tried those yet. One of my favorite little details is that they always write sweet messages or Bible verses on the lids, which honestly can make your day. You can really tell they care about their customers. Plus, their hours are great which makes it easy to stop by anytime. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Dahlonega!

It is located in a small plaza that's tucked away in the corner so it is easy to miss especially because it is a small smaller structured building. So, keep in mind to be sure to look directly to your right towards the end of the first lane when you're driving into the plaza. As far as a coffee, I do believe that it was very fresh and they had a decent amount of options for flavors. Right now they have the holiday flavor so of course I had to try the cookie butter latte. I am a firm believer of ensuring that a coffee has great taste in addition to still being able to taste the actual coffee which I believe this shot did a great job at. It's not too sweet and it's also not better either. My fiancé got the white chocolate raspberry latte which was super tasty. He's not the biggest coffee drinker and he said that this is probably the best coffee that he's ever had. I bought 3 flavors, took one bite of each to compare, and ended up throwing them all away. If they had been fresh made, I guarantee they would have been delicious. Five stars for the coffee and ambiance. 2 stars for price and bakery items. Splitting the difference to give this place 3 stars and would potentially try it again just for the coffee.
