Our building is the largest condo building in Oak Park, and it was built not quite 100 years ago. All brick and terra cotta, so one can imagine the restoration that needed to be done. Robert Reese may just be the most knowledgeable brick guy in the U.S., and no one takes brick and stone restoration more serious than he does. Add to this his experienced crew of workers, who are also experts in the field of brick and stone restoration, not to mention extremely courteous and down right friendly, and you have the best masonry company in all of Chicagoland. Thanks to Robert Reese and his crew, our building will stand the test of time for another hundred years to come and it looks beautiful! AAA 1 Masonry and Tuckpointing is the "BEST"!

Called the guy that came to our property a few days later, said he'll finish up our quote in a few days. Another week passed and we called again, he was ghosting us. Called the office, told them we haven't heard from your rep. They informed me they would contact him right away so he could get in touch with us. Never heard anything back. I tried repeatedly to get in touch with someone for a quote! Imagine if I hired them and had to contact them about a problem. No thanks. Thanks for wasting three weeks of my time.

They took the time to explain exactly what work needed to be done, why it was necessary, and answered all of my questions, including advice on future masonry projects around my property. Communication was excellent, with clear expectations on timing, scope, and duration of the work. Most importantly, the quality of the finished work was outstanding. Highly recommend. 10/10. Peter and Voytek are the absolute best.

During his visit to my home to give me a quote he was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. After the quote, they were able to get me scheduled within the time frame they provided. Voytek did an amazing job going over the project with me before it begun and keeping me posted on any updates. For the actual project, the Star Tuckpointing team was very fast, neat, and efficient. I got work done to my chimney and various places around my home and the brick color match was spot on and looked so perfect. As for neatness, I could not even tell anything happened so I was super happy to not have to clean up anything! I definitely will be going back to Star Tuckpointing in the future for my home. They are reliable, professional, and a joy to have worked with!

I did my research and contacted several contractors who made appointments to visit and provide a quote. Needless to say, most weren't interested I guess, because several didn't show up after making appointments or when they did their quotas were ridiculously high. Eduardo of Eagle Roofing & Masonry was by far the most professional and responsive contractor I've ever dealt with and I'm a Director of Operations for a high rise! Most importantly, after completing the project, there were a couple of minor issues, but Eduardo was more than happy to come back and take care of them. Lastly, Eagle Roofing is the kind of contractor you've been looking for.

When I let Eduardo know, he went back and forth with me via text for about 39 minutes saying I used salt on the concrete. That was it, he took no accountability, just that I used salt and ruined my own walkway I spent thousands on. He then offered to see it in person (which he should have just said in the first place) and told me over and over I used salt during the winter. Anyone who knows me knows that I wouldn't use salt and in fact have been using sand. He asked to see the bag, I brought it up and then he said, I was using salt. He then asked how many people live in the building (not important, the city sidewalk doesn't look like this, neither does the walkway in the back, which is decades old). It was really weird and he took absolutely no accountability for what might have happened, as I only stated the work was not aging well. He just kept saying he did a good job, etc and that I used salt. After all of that, he said he could fix it (sir, you should have led with that). The price he gave was high and ultimately I didn't think I should have to pay more for work that didn't really hold up after 2.5 years. So just know if you get concrete work and it looks bad after a few years, he'll blame you over and over before finally offering an expensive solution.
