My wife brought our 2014 Ford edge in for an oil change and brake inspection. Oil change was fine. However the sticker said it was next due in 2,000 miles. Since when does a vehicle need an oil change every 2,000 miles. Additionally they recommended a complete brake job which would have cost us $2,000. I told her to bring it home and let me look at it. I couldn't find anything wrong. Scheduled an appt with Les Schwab and they said the brakes were fine 45% life left. They even told my wife that the rear passenger side brakes were not working and barely attached. Seems to me that Joe Hall Ford wants to swindle you into getting work done when not needed. Will never take our car back there for any maintenance. read more

If I could leave a negative review I would. Had a sales guy tell me the civic that was on the lot was clean and everything working. Great looking car. I fly from California over 1100 miles just to find the car not being as described. The quarter panel had a dent, the clutch was wasted, the front end was full of paint damage, the hood was cracked up with crows feet looking scratches. The Navi had issues where certain things didn't work, the rear tail light didn't work. The sales guy told me I could get a refund on my deposit if the car wasn't as described Well it wasn't I've been waiting on my refund of $1k So I called the dealer and called a couple more times Manager has refused to call me back And is keeping my $1k deposit! read more

Crooks. Bought a lemon from here a year and a half ago, for more than book value because it was supposedly in such good condition, and have had nothing but problems with it since then. Despite my warranty, they refused to cover the fuel injectors, steering pump, and steering rack, all of which were malfunctioning. Cost me $2400 out of picket to fix, they wouldn't cover any of it. Needless to say, I don't recommend them at all. read more

We have been in Montana for the previous 47 days fighting the Alder Creek Wildfire. On the way home to Texas, our fire engine lost a Turbo in Ennis, Montana. The repair shop here diligently looked for a turbo so he could get us back on the road so we could get back to see our families before being dispatched to the next wildfire. He found one at Joe Hall Ford in Lewiston, Idaho, but they refused to sell it to him because they were keeping it in case one of their customers needed it. Now we have to take our R&R days in a hotel, instead of with our families because of their dispicable and pathetic greed. I don't like pulling the firefighter card, but honestly they should not be treating anyone like this. read more

Watch out for these guys, specifically the service department: they randomly recommend services that may have already been done just because the service wasn't done in their shop - they don't ask, they just randomly suggest unnecessary repairs. We got a new 2006 Nissan Murano from this dealership in August 2006. Our sales experience was horrible. I went through two sales people who I treated me poorly. I called the sales manager and he assigned us a salesman who treated us pretty well. The contract papers woman also was quite nice. However, the service department has been less than stellar and recently said that we needed to have several items replaced at several hundred dollars. I went to a local garage that I trust, and they showed me the parts they were talking about. None of them needed to be replaced. I would not recommend this dealership. Shop somewhere else. read more

I would never take any vehicle here to get work done they had my truck for 1 month and still never fixed it. My vehicle sat in the same spot for the entire month. At the end of the month they said they had to order my part and it would take 4 to 5 days then 5 to 7 then 7 to 14 so I went and picked up my truck and told them when the part came in to call me that was three weeks ago. I have lived in Lewiston for eight months and my truck has been down at the dealership for three of the eight months on and off and never been fixed read more

I called on a Thursday about getting in the next day for a tire rotation and oil change. They were able to accommodate me. When I got there I was told it would take about an hr. Absolutely no problem for me. When hr 2 rolled around Jason handed me my paperwork and said it took too long so your service is on me. You NEVER see customer service like that in Lewiston. The fact that the service department treats me like a human being and not a dollar sign is enough for me, but this was above and beyond! read more

FRAUD ALERT: The policy of this dealership is to recommend services if they don't know the history of the vehicle - meaning, you may have had a service completed as recommended by the owners manual but if they didn't do the repair they check your vehicle "red" as in dire need of service - they don't ask, they don't inquire, they just check it as "red" - this can show up on your carfax, it shows up when you resell your vehicle, etc. - their approach may be illegal but certainly unethical. I bought a car from Joe Hall Ford a couple months ago. My sales associate was DJ Slough and he is awesome. He treated me very nice he was professional. He was the only sales associate at any of the car dealerships in the valley that even greeted me. It was raining that day and I had sales associates at Toyota watching me and not help. So I went back to joe hall. At first I was only interested in a nicer beater. I wanted a cheap monthly payment after the awesome service with DJ I went back and told him to show me more expensive cars. I wanted a nice one and was glad to pay more. Less than a month later my car was having issues and so I took it back in at first they couldn't give me a loaner because I'm 19 which was highly aggravating because I bought the extended warrenty. Ben at service was awesome he and Dj ended up finding me a loaner and had the owner joe approve me to take it. I had my car in the shop within an hour. I picked up my car a week or so ago and it's still having issues. So today I went back. They are goimg to fix it at no charge! Because I bought it so recently and have already had issues. They didnt have a loaner so Ben at service had someine drop me off at work and will be getting me my car or a loaner by the end of my work day. The service is outstanding. Thank you for such an amazing experience Joe Hall Ford. You have my 100% loyalty I will be back and Will always referr people to you!! Thank you again!! A year later my car is still misfiring I have recently moved to Boise Idaho so hopefully one of these dealerships will help me. So far with the phone calls I have made to them more than one is willing to figure out what is going on thank god because obviously you don't get the service from joe hall. My car has been in there shop a good 4 times for the same issue that started less than a week after I bought it they leased it to Honda to fix and Honda tells me it is misfiring do to the air conditioning unit being to large for the engine. Joe hall tells me I need to take it to Honda because they can't fix it even though I bought it through them. Don't do business with this company. read more

I really wish I could give less than 1 star. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in any company!! We had a new Ford van that we bought a month ago and we broke down with our family of 8 kids including a severely disabled son outside of Lewiston and the Ford company had our car towed there. BIG MISTAKE! The people at Joe Hall Ford refused to even look at our car that day and said it could be up to 10 business days until they did. They refused to give us a courtesy car and made us wait outside for the rental car that we finally found. When we called to check on our car, they told us that we should feel lucky that they were doing us the favor of even looking at our car since we didn't buy it there and that they had no idea what was wrong with it. When I told them I felt he was being rude he hung up on me. So here we sit in a strange town with 8 kids including one having seizures because of the stress but Joe Hall Ford will get to our van when they get to it and they have no idea what is wrong and we should appreciate that they are doing us the favor of looking at our van. So much for the Ford Warranty. In contrast, the towing company that brought us to Lewiston could not have been kinder and even let us wait in his truck until we found a rental car so we didn't have to sit outside. Even he was appalled at the rudeness and lack of basic politeness displayed by the people at Joe Hall. I would NEVER buy a vehicle from these people and based on how confused they seem by our van and how rude they are, I would never ever have my vehicle repaired or serviced there. Horrible customer service!!!! Bought a brand new 2017 Ford Explorer and the positive battery terminal completely disintegrated. The service department was more interested in where I was getting my vehicle serviced than offering to help me first as it is a Ford vehicle. So much for the family tradition of service and dependability. Went across the street to Rodgers and they helped me at least get the vehicle running so I can go to a Ford Dealer who will help me fix a brand new car. read more

Last week I bought a 2018 Ford F150 from Joe Hall Ford in Lewiston. I am 67 and have bought lots of cars and trucks over the years. The experience that I had with Joe Hall Ford was one of the easiest and most pleasant I have ever had. This was the first and only transaction I have had in buying a vehicle online. There was no endless haggling over price and I got a very fair trade-in value for my Outback. I live in Meridian, ID which is about a 5-hr. drive from Lewiston. I really didn't relish having to drive back and forth in order to get my truck. No problem, said Mike Callahan, sales person from whom I bought the truck. He said he would be glad to drive my truck down to Meridian and take possession of my Subaru. It was over a 10-hr. roundtrip for him. I couldn't believe it!!! I have never had customer service like that. Mike was true to his word with respect to the condition of my truck, time he would be at my home, etc. A very straight-up and professional guy. We were travelling through Idaho when we though our breaks on our truck were acting up. We just stopped by and they were so kind to squeeze us in (we had to wait for 1.5 hrs but we used that for lunch). They looked at our breaks, confirmed that they were ok and didn't even charge us. I have a 2007 Nissan Altima. The battery died and after replacement, the auto-up window feature was disabled. I called the service department to ask what the repair charges would be -- I was told that settings in the car would need to be reset in order for the auto-up feature to function again and that the charge would be at least $45. I thought this was a bit excessive and did a quick Google search on the issue. I'm certainly not a mechanic, but was able to find the fix (for anyone interested, you just put the windows to the halfway point, then use the up button to roll the windows up and hold it in the up position for 3-5 seconds. Bam -- reset!). It literally took me SIX SECONDS to repair the issue ... ok -- to be fair, it took about 45 seconds with the Google search. Needless to say, I'll be looking elsewhere for my future repair needs. read more
