2014 Pilot Transmission started shifting hard towards the end of our cross Washington trip to Pullman on a late Friday evening. Found online that McClure Honda had Saturday Service Hours so headed to Lewiston in the morning to see if we could get some help. Only one tech on duty and they weren't sure they could fit us in, but they got under the hood and found the transmission fluid was low & brown. They didn't want us driving another 400 miles without a triple flush, so they took the car. Five hours later the work was done! Great communication throughout. And they even washed the bugs off our grill (well, they washed the whole car!) Drove back across the state at the end of the weekend and all is good. HUGE thanks to Service Advisor Josh and the entire McClure Service Crew who knew we'd be way worse off without timely repair and fit us in. They lost my business by trying to charge me $450 to replace radiator hoses that were in perfectly fine condition. Right after they completed a CV boot replacement, my car started leaking coolant -- which it never has. I thought they might have bumped a hose during the CV boot repair and took it back in only for them to tell me that they couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from. They even tried to suggest that it was an oil leak -- I think the difference between oil and coolant is pretty damn obvious and I had brought in photos of the coolant leak which clearly showed a blue-green liquid. I took my car to an independent mechanic who thoroughly examined it and said that it just needed a new hose clamp and that all the hoses were in excellent condition and did not need replacing - cost was 1/4 of what McClure wanted to charge me. I now question any of the repairs McClure did and if they even replaced the CV boot. They've lost my trust and have lost my business forever. read more

They were able to get my car in for service immediately and not only fixed the issue, but there was also a recall on the fuel pump that I was not aware of and they were able to fix that as well. Belated review, but was very happy with the quality of work and the service folks at Mick McClure Honda. A particular part was needed for my car, which they didn't have in-stock. They ordered it from an out-of-state dealership, and it took 5 days for them to receive it, plus one day of labor. This delivery time wasn't their fault, and they were accommodating throughout... in fact they gave me a loaner car to use during the wait time. read more

I see this place generally gets good reviews. Maybe I'm just unlucky. I've taken my car to this service department three times. The first time was OK. The second time I left because it was the height of the pandemic, and I am immune compromised. They refused to wear masks. I guess they care more about my car than my health. The latest visit was for a valve cover gasket and valve adjustment. The car was running well. I had just found a little oil on my 2nd cylinder sparkplug. I was told voluntarily by Josh that cam shaft damage was "common" in my 2011 Civic SI. and could cost $2000 more. I was perplexed at this gratuitous mention of something that might not even be an issue especially as there were no signs of cam damage in the car's performance. I left my car and went home and Googled this. After and hour of reading, I found no mention of cam shaft damage as a common problem for the Civic SI. I texted the service department with concerns, but got no reply. I called to try to speak to the mechanic to clarify my concerns, but was told that I could not talk to him as a matter of policy. I was also told that I was never told it was a "common problem". Yes, I was. I will not be gaslighted. I know what I was told. I just wanted clarification about the work to be done, but I was treated like anything but a valued customer. I cancelled my service appointment. When I got the car home, I found that they had not reconnected a vacuum hose, there were two missing plastic fasteners, and my heat shield was missing a 9mm bolt. I gave them two stars rather than zero or one because of my first visit, because they didn't charge me for cancelling my appointment, and because they gave me the opportunity and motivation to learn how to do this myself. Luckily, it's the age of You Tube. It wasn't even that hard. Thanks Mick McClure Honda for the new skill free of charge. What was going to cost me $450 (potentially $2500) only cost me $44 and about 6 hours. There was ware, but no major damage to the cams. And don't worry Josh. I will honor your rather rude, unprofessional request. I won't be back ever. I'll buy and service my Hondas in Spokane. I've never had a problem there. The longer trip is definitely worth the better service, or I'll just do it myself. read more

Earlier this year, I was on the hunt for my very first new car. I spent a day in Lewiston going through all the dealerships in town and, by the time I got to Honda, I was in a terrible mood. Every single salesperson I'd dealt with that day had been overly pushy and pressuring me to buy when I'd made it clear I was shopping around and weighing my options. I was getting tired of constantly hearing "What's wrong with the car I showed you? Why do you need to look at any other cars? What will it take to get you to sign right now?" at every stop I made. McClure was the last stop on my schedule, and turned my entire day around! Corey came out and let me test drive one of the new Fits. He was really pleasant and fun to drive with, and he knew all the safety and luxury features of the car I was driving offhand (something the other dealers elsewhere I'd driven with that day didn't). At no point did he pester me about buying it that day. When I was finished, he didn't pressure me into filling out any paperwork or making a decision. He just gave me all the information I asked for, gave me his card, and told me he hoped he'd hear back from me. The car was amazing, but it also felt great to be treated like a human being instead of a potential commission. A week later the same Fit I test drove came home with me. I gave this place three chances to earn my business and I was extremely disappointed every time, the first time I was trying to purchase a vehicle from them and they refused to give me NADA trade in value for my vehicle and would only give me what they could get at the auto auction, yet would not budge on their NADA retail price for the car I was looking at. I went to spokane to the honda dealer there and they gave me the NADA trade in for my car. Next I took my car for service and the service dept. insisted that there was nothing wrong with my car although everyone that rides in my car can feel the obvious vibration,they charged me over 100 dollars and accomplished nothing. Lastly I took my vehicle in and asked if they could let me know the trade in value of my car because we were considering upgrading and they took all my info but never called me back . My daughter brought her car in for recall work. Knowing the reputation of some car dealers to try to "upsell" additional work along with the free recall work I warned her not to ok anything extra. She called an hour into her appointment at McClure's Honda to say that they were very nice, her car was done, and they even washed it for her. This review is mostly about the service department. I've never bought a car from this dealership, so I can't speak for its sales department. I've taken my 91 Accord here for the past 4-5 years for work that I can't do easily myself. When I first started taking it there, they did great work. However, it seems the quality of their work has severely diminished lately. The most recent time I took it in I had about $3,500 worth of work done. Long story short, they messed up installing some new parts and didn't tell me. I had to figure it out for myself and point out what they had done wrong, and these issues were easily found without even taking the car off the lot. I no longer trust them to work on my car. This business is ran by a bunch of IDIOTS! I bought my 2012 Honda Accord from this dealership and when they brought it to me, I hopped in and left in my brand new car! I was very excited, UNTIL I GOT HOME AND CHECKED OUT THE PAINT JOB. The whole right hand side was CAKED in scratches, something that took an estimated $1,000 to fix. I took the car into them, seeming how I just bought a $30,000 car, thinking they could fix it for free.....Well, to my knowledge, they couldnt fix the mistakes they made on my vehicle for free. After a little bribing, I finally got them to agree to fix my car for me. I was FURIOUS! If you are wanting to buy a quality vehicle with a GOOD PAINT JOB, I would suggest going to Rogers Motors, right down the street. You will be very satisfied.
