They could be a little better about keeping you updated on the status of your glass, but we got the glass installed a week after it was ordered, so we have no valid complaints.

My husband and I just had our new storm door installed by Gregg Schroko and his crew from Modern…read moreHome Industries in Yorktown Heights (914-245-4144), and we could not be more pleased and delighted. Gregg was the recommended installer by Jilco Window Corp. (see separate review), where we purchased our new storm door. We had a ballpark idea of what we wanted, but when Gregg came out to measure he provided a lot of clear information that made our selection easier. We live in an HOA, and Gregg was familiar with the procedure of obtaining approval for this particular home improvement; he promptly provided the necessary documents required to keep the project moving along. Gregg is knowledgeable, personable and professional and so pleasant and gratifying to work with. Gregg also knew we were eager to have our new door installed before the 4th of July weekend (the first time we would be entertaining since the pandemic turned all our lives upside down), and he was on top of it. As soon as the door came in, Gregg scheduled us and within a few days he and his crew -- all masked, respectful and efficient - had our door installed, a full week ahead of schedule! And it seemed to take no time at all to install our beautiful new door. Needless to say, we are thrilled; and highly recommend Gregg and Modern Home Industries for door installations or for any service that they offer.

They did 2 of my bathrooms and now 2 years later, I contacted to discuss gaskets and door bumpers…read morecoming detached and allowing mold to collect behind these bumpers on the tile wall. I'm well aware of the factors such as amount of use and frequency of cleaning. The bathrooms are cleaned 2x/week minimum, because that's just how I roll, and they are both well ventilated. I explained the concerns and Jack offered to replace these things for $295. Since the areas of concern are in staggered locations, it is evident that it was not done properly to start. Jack said they guarantee work for 1 year only. More than likely, nothing will go wrong in 1 year. If their work is quality, then it should be guaranteed for longer. A good business would at least visit to check customer concerns and possibly offer a one-time courtesy repair after confirming the work done should not have failed so quickly. Jack was right quick to sell some bogus glass treatment that allegedly decreases water spots and the need to clean glass so often. That was a waste of money. I would never recommend this company and did not have a positive experience.

Full disclosure- I am in the process of disputing the work that Associated did at my house. The…read moredispute revolves around whether they replaced my shower door with an inferior product. That part of my review is subjective. What is not subjective is the following: 1) They did not arrive at the they were supposed to. 2) They walked into my house without permission (they claim they asked the lawn guys who do not speak English. 3) They gave my baby sitter a hard time when she reprimanded them for entering without permission. 4) They charge an un-Godly amount of money. 5) When I asked why the price was so high, the answer I got was that they had to clean the door in their truck. I will say that the guy John who answers the phone (and he does always answer the phone) is calm. He is just not reasonable. Here is what I think. The positive reviews seem to be from friends or relatives because they all have 2 or 3 reviews to their profile. Normal reviewers don't write like that.
