First off - the staff & owners here are fantastic people and very friendly, even going so far as to offer suggestions for other products I might be interested in, based on my personal tastes. The store is kept spotlessly clean, and the shelves are fairly neat and orderly. The most important part to me? Unlike most other liquor stores in the area, they seem to actually (mostly) pay attention to date codes for their beer inventory. Beer has a shelf life of about 6 months to 2 years, depending on style, and SO many places will let those things collect dust on a warm shelf as if it's a fine wine. Most of the beer here thankfully is well within date ranges, and I've only seen a small handful of out of date stuff - a job well done, in my book. Prices are decent as well, and parking is a breeze. Easily one of the best liquor stores in town.

This past time that I came here, there was someone offering samples inside of Iron Smoke Whiskey. I had a few samples, and when he said they were Veteran owned, I had to get 2 bottles. Super delicious Whiskey! I got the Maple Bacon and the Apple Pie, both killer flavors. I usually come here to get Tito's whenever my SiL has a party. I also personally come here for my Jaeger! They have all the flavors of Jager here, except Manifest... They have the Cold Brew as well as the Ginger one. Both delicious! A big pro of coming here is that they sell ice! When I first got to the LOL (used to be Brandy's Tavern), I sat at the bar and my order was taken right away from a barmaid that looked like she had a chip on her shoulder. Though my service was fast, it was full of false enthusiasm and big fake smiles. I ordered a beer on tap and couldn't handle any more after two sips. The beer was skunky and I could see what looked like dust particles floating around in my glass. When the barmaid was done texting on her cellphone, I got her attention and she apologized for the beer being nasty (all while saying it was because her boss was cheap) and asked if I would like something else. I ordered a Jack and Coke, because how could you screw that up? Apparently at the LOL you can because the coke tasted like the syrupy mess left over at the bottom of the bag. I got the barmaid's attention again and she was incredibly rude about replacing my drink. I didn't get to check out any of their food because I was never offered a menu. I also overheard the barmaid complaining about people not leaving her any tips (and honestly, with her bad attitude, I didn't blame them!). I'm not sure what sort of business they are hoping to accomplish at this place, but it's quite sad to experience. My friend said it's under new ownership and this is their third year. Walked in and there was a band playing. Hump Day Trio. Amazing jam band that's apparently here every Sunday. The bathrooms were re done so for those who know that stupid door is finally fixed. I'm pretty sure they even re did the paint on the walls. Bartenders were sweethearts. Good energy through and through. The owner even bought me and my girl DJ Licious a round of shots some amazing tequila lime concoction. So happy I didn't go to bed after family Easter .
