Joe installed 6 Trojan T-875 batteries for my Club Car Golf Cart on October 19 2023 at a reasonable cost especially when considering that Joe is mobile and covers a lot of southern California. The first week in October 2024, 11 months later, the battery light started coming on after short trips. It did not sputter or show signs of being weak so I kept my eye on it and continued to drive it regularly. But, on October 23rd 2024, the cart started to sputter. We live in the desert full time and use the cart regularly so the water levels are always maintained and the trickle charger is used daily. I called Joe with receipt in hand and told him the history of the past 369 days and Joe promptly told me it was 4 days out of warranty and nothing he could do. He also told me that it is "probably" not the batteries and most likely the charger. I asked him if he could come out and double check the batteries because the problem had been going on for a month and if it is the batteries, he should cover it under warranty. "Nope! I don't do that" he replied. I had the cart shop mechanic at the club where we live take a look at the batteries and he told me that at least two of the batteries were dead. I informed Joe of this but he disagreed, saying that the cart guys at the clubs are misinformed and don't know what they are talking about. But, he still would not come out and diagnose the issue or cover the batteries under the warranty. I paid over $1,000 for the new batteries that lasted less than a year and then get a "NO" from Joe who could have easily worked with Trojan about the 4 day difference between my calling Joe and the warranty period. By the way, Trojan offers 18 months on their batteries but Joe only offers one year. Why is that? That is my story. I have nothing against Joe, I just don't appreciate the way he handled my issue and his explanation of his "cheaper" prices due to only warrantying for one year does not work for me. It's not cheaper if the batteries have to be replaced in less than a year. read more

I was looking for replacement 6v RV batteries and, through a lot of waiting for response, got a delivery time on Monday afternoon - not ideal, but workable for us as we are just passing through. Caution, Joe comes across as a good guy but he is not forthcoming and was not honest with me. Swears his batteries are all good but they are not. AND he refused to test them for voltage after he installed them in saying, "I do not sell bad batteries, I do not need to test them." Well, he was wrong. Paid $550.00 for a system analysis on my GEM to find source of problem since JOE told me it was not his batteries causing non-operation. Made an appointment with Joe to change eight batteries in my 2013 motorhome. We agreed on a price and on the day of my appointment I took time off, retrieved my motorhome from storage and brought it home for the service. Joe was actually early to our appointment which was nice. That was the last nice thing that happened. Joe opened the compartment containing my batteries and told me it was too much work and he wouldn't do it. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Changing batteries IS hard. They are heavy, and not always easy to lift out. Exactly why I would rather pay someone than do it myself. But seriously, Joe's willingness to drive away while I am standing on the curb with my motorhome shows a complete lack of respect for someone else's time.
