I ordered mini cupcakes for my daughter-in-laws birthday I opted for the standard cupcakes which were listed on the website as chocolate, vanilla and red velvet. She and i are both trying to watch our weight and we will be celebrating with my two grandsons so we didn't want to go overboard with sweets. I called one day in advance and placed the order over the phone and paid with a credit card. I believe i spoke with Jodi who asked me about icing and decorations. I explained i wanted bright colors, sparkles and sprinkles. She told me the cream cheese frosting for the red velvet cupcakes is usually white so we agreed on that. They have a good selection of minis and standard size. It is a small place with a few seats inside if you want to stay and enjoy your cupcakes. I took mine to go. Finding a good spot to get cupcakes that's either close to my office or house, for whatever reason, is hard to find. Sure, there are places from West Palm to Miami that people swear by, but they seem to be either never open when I'm around, not conveniently located to me, or overrated. Thankfully, Jodi's is the real thing, and close to my office! Jodi's Cupcakes makes all of their recipes from scratch. They are quite amazing. Located in a small, non-descript plaza -- blink twice, and you'll miss it on US 1, they have a bare bones set-up when you walk inside. With a L-shaped counter area that has glass displays showing their delectable delights, and three small tables with chairs, Jodi's offer both mini and large cupcakes. If you are using a check/credit card, there is a $10 minimum, so either have enough cash to buy a couple, or just buy at least $10 worth -- which is of course, what I did! I ordered a triple chocolate, bananas foster, and a cookies 'n cream. Additionally, I was offered a mini of my choice, which I happily took one of the lemon drops, which was quite glorious. My favorite of the three was the triple chocolate, which was moist, tasty, and divine. It was perfection. I enjoyed the Bananas Foster a lot, and the cookies 'n cream was solid. I'll have to go back to try more of their varietals but they are fantastic. read more

Best experience ever! I have gotten the mini cupcakes at least 3 times a week for the last year...I drop them off to my clients who are attorney's and title company's. Not only is the presentation beautiful, but my clients always RAVE about how yummy they are. The staff is so sweet and I just love coming in to this shop. The last restaurant I was at also told me that Jodi's Cupcakes is who makes all the cakes for the dessert at the restaurant. I knew it was going to be good and again - they hit a home run. I wanted to pick up a little something to bring to a book club I facilitate for work. Passed by this place a bunch of times and never stopped in until today. Little storefront but they had a great selection of cupcakes in mini and large sizes. I picked out a bunch of mini cupcakes and the gentleman helping me was kind enough to give me a mini red velvet to try on the house. I'm not a big chocolate cake person (vanilla is my favorite) and sometimes red velvet can have too much cocoa in it and taste closer to a chocolate cake. Oh My God. When we went in, the display cases were almost empty. The owner told us that there were mini-cupcakes in the oven if we could wait a few minutes. The different varieties were so enticing, that we said sure. As she was boxing up our dozen minis, assorted varieties, she told us that she baked all day long, but that someone had just come in and bought all she had - 19 dozen. Terrible, atrocious customer service. My mom and I went in to look for a quote for a 21st birthday cake and just wanted to see prices and options. The woman at the front was completely rude and vague. Is it that hard to try and be a personable person? For example, we had asked what flavors would be able for a cake and the woman's response was blankly "Whatever you want.. we have over thirty flavors" with a puss on her face. This is why there was no customers in the store. The store was not decorated and the customer service was A JOKE. I was introduced to this bakery at a special event where they were sampling cupcakes. I decided, with some trepidation, to try the red velvet. In general, I'm not a big fan of this cake. It's usually an unnatural shade of red and has the funky flavor of food dye. I've also usually found them to be dry. Such was not the case with this lovely cupcake. The cake was definitely chocolatey, moist, and had just the right amount of smooth, creamy, cream cheese icing. It was the best cupcake of its kind that I've had. After looking at their menu, I would like to see a few more offerings with a more regional flare. Being in So. Fl., I would love to see things like key lime, mango and guava. There are so many luscious fruits here that lend themselves beautifully to cakes. But, if you're in Boca, this bakery is worth a stop, for the friendly people and the cupcakes. read more

What a cute little shop in the middle of a commercial park. Granted, this location is very challenging to find, especially in the rain. It took me about 10 minutes to find the place and I thought it might be a commercial bakery. They have a nice storefront with a decent selection. The cakes are delicious. They even gave me an extra mini "for the road." Just note the minimum credit card requirement is $10. So the shop owners are very sweet. I tried three flavors and they were all delicious and moist. My favorite was the sea salt Mocha. The cupcake was a bit dry, with pieces crumbling off when I peeled the wrapper and the frosting not as flavorful or rich as I'd like.
