Great customer service as soon as I entered this store. An employee was nearby and I was greeted and asked if I needed help. While checking out the line was getting long which prompted the cashier to ask for back up. An employee came to help immediately and was so pleasant and kind. Customer service has been rough these days but definitely not here. I didn't realize they carried some products and was pleasantly surprised when I saw their selection. They were pretty well stocked which is rare these days and will definitely bring me back. read more

The customer service at this location is severely lacking. Most employees are unnecessarily rude. ALSO, the women's restroom is a NIGHTMARE. The most disgusting restroom I've ever seen. I'm attaching a photo, of what appears to be diarrhea splashed poo EVERYWHERE, with a very poor attempt made at wiping it up. And why is there a tree shaped vehicle air freshener hanging in there? I come to Joanne all the time and buy fabrics regularly. Have never had a bad experience with any employee and they are usually very helpful and accommodating. However my experience today was different. I was in the store to buy multiple fabrics. I was unsure of how much I needed so I was standing to the side trying to figure it out before I went to the counter and got it cut. An employee named Amber H. approached me asking if I needed help in a rude manner. I told her i was figuring out how much I needed and would let her know once I sort it out. She responded with a smirk saying she's going to have to measure it regardless which I understand. After I was done, I politely asked her few questions I had and she was so rude and frustrated. I had bought the same fabric previously and needed to buy few extra yards. I asked her if it was possible to return the one I bought few days ago and just make a new purchase in bulk. This really seemed to tick her off, if you can't do it - simple let the customer know that it's not something you guys can do instead of getting worked up and give attitude. She continued the cut the fabric - I bought two different ones. She gave me one receipt for it, I asked her if she could give me two different receipts to which she rolled her eyes. I later got some more fabric and was assisted by Tammy who was SO pleasant and nice. I asked her the same questions or concerns as I did with Amber. Tammy seemed to happily answer all my questions and not get frustrated. I wanted to return the piece of fabric I bought few ago since I ended up buying it in bulk today. I went to the cashier and they told me I needed to go back to fabrics to get it measured so I took it back and once again Amber H gave me so much attitude simply because i wanted to return something i bought two days with receipt. She told me she's the manager of the store and they do not accept returns and she will do this once, signed my receipt and slammed it on the counter. I have returned fabric in the past without any issues. I'm not the one to blame someone without any reason, a customer isn't always right. If the customer is wrong, tell them politely. Do not give attitude. If you are having a bad day, don't take it out on others. You chose to do this job, no one is forcing you. If you can't do it with a smile or atleast without being nice to customers then don't do it. A real shame that she claims to be the manager but doesn't know what customer service is. I'd rather go out of my way and visit another location than go to this particular Joanne and be belittled. Absolutely pathetic! read more

Clean and well organized. Love the fact that they have fabric that at other stores was out but had a supply at this store. Was wonderful to be able to get it. Also staff was friendly and willing to get to know what you are making. And offer help if you needed it. Cutting station there was no line and check out was fast too. Drove out 30 minutes to return an online order. They only offered a store credit on a large order. Drove 30 minutes home, tried the store credit online and found that it didn't work. Now twice as angry. read more

Although this store is convenient and clean, the customer service is awful. I go here often and more often than not have a negative experience. Those experiences include long lines due to one cashier even on busy days and during busy times of the year. Almost always I encounter a very disrespectful employee who fails to greet or even return a smile to customers. After my experience with the manager (Vince) today I now understand why the atmosphere of the store is the way it is. If you can avoid shopping here, I would encourage you to do so. read more

I don't know how, where or what the human resource department does to find their employees. They are the most pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable folks I have ever met! Employees are easy to find to ask questions and their willingness to help is superb! They are always friendly and exceptionally nice. Seriously the HR department should consult with other companies and teach them how to select employees. read more

This is my first time in THIS Joann Fabric location, though I've been shopping at other Joann locations for years and I am SO glad I visited the Rockwall store. Out of convenience, I normally visit the Plano location on Alma Dr. The Plano location has very unstable customer service with a few courteous employees paired with some really disgruntled, unfriendly ones. But in the name of my love for sewing & crafts and driving convenience to the Plano store, I've dealt with the good and bad the store offers. But the breaking point is, as I found out today, the Plano store has withheld a very important service that I should've been privy to which could have saved me hundreds of dollars if not more in all my years of shopping with Joann. But not once has anyone at that location offered me this money-saving deal despite my being an extremely loyal and frequent customer. The manager and employees at the Rockwall location were all very nice and honest. I felt their sincere concern for my lack of knowledge of the money saving deal. Their store is much more neat, clean, and spacious, offering the same abundance of products as the Plano store. I will definitely be going to them from now for all my sewing/crafting needs and strongly advise others to do the same - don't settle for the poor to mediocre service the Plano store offers, go where you get good service, caring employees, and a great shopping experience!! read more

This store is crazy, they have coupons but u can't use it on anything that's on sale and strangely everything is on sale. Hobby lobby gives u the better price if it's on sale and u have a coupon. This store says they honor competitors prices but they don't. I won't go back- I'll stay at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. read more
