From the first introduction to the final walk-thru, Lenz Contractors was outstanding. They fought to get as much covered by insurance as they could, and we paid for the remainder. It was an excellent choice. There work was excellent, and their prices were reasonable. When they said they would be there, they were. When we called, they called back. When our renovation was done, our jaws dropped. It was A-M-A-Z-I-NG. It was worth every penny. People in our neighborhood asked if we were happy with our contractor. I paid for a high-end AC unit with warranty coverage and even subscribed to the extra maintenance…read morepackage, expecting quality service and equipment. What I got instead was repeated failures, poor communication, and zero accountability. My unit broke down twice in under a year--once in 2024 and again in June 2025. The first time, I had to pay out of pocket for an AirBnB for a week because they couldn't fix it in a timely manner. The second time, I was again forced to get a hotel while waiting for a solution. To make matters worse, instead of replacing the unit with the one I originally paid for, they installed a cheaper system just to get something running. During that process, they broke my smart thermostat and replaced it with a basic one. Since then, my electric bill has doubled due to the downgrade in efficiency and the loss of smart temperature control. I was told someone would follow up within a week regarding compensation for the hotel stay, the broken thermostat, and to ensure the correct AC unit would be installed. It has now been over a month, and I've heard nothing. This company took my money, provided substandard equipment, caused damage to my home, and has failed to follow through on basic customer service or accountability. I would not recommend them to anyone.
