As someone who appreciates art, but tends to run into roadblocks when planning a gift for someone…read morespecial, Lauren facilitated the ideal experience for me and I can't recommend her enough. From start to finish, the process was simple and enjoyable. Lauren's approach mixes consultation and taste in a way that draws from existing household art and the taste of the intended recipient. In my experience, she quickly curated a list of quality options that fit within my price range and wife's interests. For a cherry on top, I also got a chance to learn about local artists, different mediums, and styles from a very credible (and extremely nice) professional in Lauren. I can't wait to work with her again!

Lauren has great knowledge of local artists and suggested two wonderful pieces from local artists, which I bought. She also recommended some great photographs. Finally, she worked with me to create a beautiful wall collage of photographs I have taken. She has a good eye for keeping costs down and we were able to frame them at a much lower cost than I had anticipated. Also, Lauren hangs the art - something I would screw up. Lauren is a professional. She is very responsive and is a pleasure to work with.

I don't know anything technically about art but I know what I like when I see it and that includes Nancy Hammond's colorful interpretations of life around Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay region. As an Annapolitan I have long been familiar with Nancy Hammond Editions and I was excited to see she has a gallery in Saint Michael's in addition to her downtown Annapolis location. I think the Saint Michael's gallery might only be open on the weekends but its is beautifully done and worth a stop. When I visited a colorful heron print called "Trumpet Vine and Marshmallow" was featured up front and I just kept starring at it and all the lovely colors. There is something fun about the long-legged herons and this piece really captures that for me. While Nancy Hammond does paint a lot of herons she is also known for capturing Labrador retrievers, the Naval Academy, Annapolis, sailboats and other common sights of the region. Nancy Hammond is a very accomplished artist. She attended the prestigious Rhode Island Design School and I recently learned that some of her work has even been featured in the Baltimore Museum of Art.
