Warning: biased review. I'm a guy in a craft store!
While I do have some crafting interests, they usually involve saws and lots of glue. So while my girlfriend was sifting through the fabric to make some pretty cool future craft project, i naturally sat in front of the $8499 embroidery machine with the super-wham-o-dyne touch screen interface. I clicked "OK" on the screen because it was CALLING ME to, then a bunch of stuff started happening and the embroidery table started moving all around.
I got the DEATH GLARE from the employee working there, then she proceeded to condescendingly explain to me why I shouldn't calibrate the machine. HEY JO-ANN! If you don't want people playing with it, TURN IT OFF! It's on display for people to test out, right?
Grr. Otherwise the store is okay, it has a bunch of stuff in about every crafting category you could think of - from paper maiche to framing to quilting, sewing, baking, and who knows what else.
Best part: Del's Lemonade truck in the parking lot, but that's for a different review. read more
