After dropping the vehicle off and waiting inside for 20 minutes, I headed home. 15 minutes later, I received a call saying I was given the wrong price and that the actual price would be $75 more per wheel (3 wheels). I did not agree to that and was told they could do it for $35 more per wheel. Then he offered to do it for $100 more than the price I agreed to. After completing the work, he wanted to charge more if I paid by any way other than cash. I originally told them I wanted to use in-house financing. After the work was complete, I was told that they would have to be charged 6% more to finance it. I secured the in-house financing myself and was not charged any additional fees. Once I picked the vehicle up, I noticed the caliper paint was on the brakes. A few days later, I was getting in the slingshot when it started rolling out of my garage and rolled into my car. I figured that I didn't set the emergency brake and put it back in the garage. The next day, the slingshot rolled back and damaged my garage door. I took it to my mechanic, who told me that the e-brake cover had not been properly installed and that one of my calipers had not been screwed back in. The wheels look great, but I was disappointed in how they changed the price, their untruthfulness concerning the financing, and the fact that I had to pay a few hundred dollars for the damage to my garage and my mechanic to correctly install my e-brake cover and caliper. I love the look of the rim, I just hate that they ruined the experience by changing the price and causing other damage.

However, I kind of wish I would've had the charges broken down for me as they were for two male customers that came after me. Though I wanted the warranty coverage, which was only mentioned because I asked if it was included, it was not offered to me but rather automatically added. Optional sevices should really be offered as such especially when they are not free of charge. There were just a couple things that I didnt realize until I got home that I was left curious about. 1. There are mentions in the waiting area as well as on the receipt given recommending that if the customer is getting two new tires that said tires be put on the rear axle yet mine were put on the front. Is it only a suggestion because there will be a charge and therefore it is by request only? 2. If the tires purchased come with an automatic 50000 mile warranty, should the warranty through Discount be necessary? I'm guessing it is, especially given that the service tech automatically adds it without asking. I'm glad I stopped by as opposed to going with the website as it said there were no availabilities until next week. I also appreciate the service tech offering to have the tires I was requesting be delivered since they didnt have any in stock. Once they arrived, the wait was only about 30min and I was on my way! :)

I called Christian brothers Automotive and they told me to try Tires by Design. I stopped by and they inspected the tires, and told me I would need three tires as one of the rear tires was also worn enough to require changing. They did not have my Michelin tires in stock, but said they could get the tires in the morning, and call me when they received them. They told me it would take only thirty minutes to change out the tires. I checked back the next morning, and the tires were indeed delivered. I pulled in at 12:15 on a Saturday, and they immediately pulled my car into the shop. The tires were changed out and I was back on the road within twenty minutes. I went home and brought my 2005 Suburban back to have the tire sensors changed, and they did that in about twenty minutes as well. The manager and the staff were great to talk with, the service was so fast I barely had time to finish a coffee. It was the best experience I have ever had at a tire store. I heartily recommend you try Tires by Design the next time you need your tires serviced.
