So I googled the closet spot from where I was at and I'm so glad I found Sun Ray Nails. Having learned my lesson, I called them to see if they could take a walk-in, and the answer was yes. From the outside it looks very small, but once you walk in you see a very clean and well organized salon. The owner is usually there and she does a good job at "table touching" and making sure all of her guests are having a good experience. Mimi does my nails, from that day on forward. She's very fast yet does a very good job! I had another younger lady do my nails once (Mimi doesn't work on Mondays) and she was on the dot with my nails. It took a little longer but I cannot complain considering it lasted me 4 weeks without need a refill, and another 3 with one. Mimi remembers everyone! As well as the rest of the staff, they take personal interest with you and make sure you leave happy. Price range? It's great honestly, not too expensive whatsoever. I drive an extra 30 minutes to go here. And they last me 3-4 weeks without a need for a refill.

Short version: A nice, clean neighborhood salon with VERY friendly ladies, reasonable prices and lots of parking available. They will also accommodate you if you show up within 30 minutes of closing. Long version: I got there the other evening, hoping to soak my feet and be pampered. All the pedicure chairs were taken, but the lady at the manicure desk smiled and said: "Go ahead and sit - we get to you soon." And they did - within 20 minutes or so. Since they didn't have more than five ladies working (which included six pedicures, four manicures and a wax job for some big woman in the back), that was pretty speedy. Wow. Once in the big comfy massage chair, I let the lady work her magic. Ah... Her technique was good. The only gripe I have - hence the 4-star rating - was that there was no soap in the tub. Just plain warm water. Oh, well. Can't win them all. BUT, it was terrific. Not only did she do the usual trim, cuticle removal and buff, but her exfoliation procedure was awesome. She also did some reflexology and pressure-point therapy on my size 10s, which for some reason cleared up my sinuses. Go figure! Price was only $25 for a 45-minute pedicure. WOW. I'm a fan. When I paid, the lady was most gracious: "Thanks so much. You come back now, okay? We like to see you again!" Nice. Very nice. You can bet I'll be back in a few weeks! ;-)

She has so much experience working in hospitals and caring for those who may not be able to move their feet completely. I am so thankful we found this company and Rochelle did my nails and my mom's. And left two ridiculous voicemail messages claiming she did not know the address and the address was not her service area. What professional does that ???Called 10 days in advance, ask for your address, confirms they service your area and address, tells you when they will be in your area and book an appointment but on the day of the appointment says something to the contrary? Plays crazy doesn't tell you Heavenly Nails fees in advance but an hour before appointment and gives you a fee for a simple non-medical grade mani-pedi of $194.13 !!! Guess her strategy didn't work thinking that client would be so desperate after waiting 10 days and just accept whatever price she was spitting out . Found those actions dishonest, not transparent as well did not find interacting with her pleasant or enjoyable. Lack of integrity.

After three years as a loyal customer, I've decided to take my business elsewhere. One of the biggest reasons I continued coming here was Mo. She consistently provided excellent nail, pedicure, eyebrow, and lash services, and since she left, it's clear why so many longtime customers have followed her.nMy biggest issue has always been the owner Tony's attitude toward customers. He often comes across as sarcastic, dismissive, and argumentative. During the salon's $500 raffle promotion, customers who spent $50.99 or more were supposed to receive raffle tickets. Every time I qualified, I had to remind Tony to give me my tickets, and he would often argue about it. It made the promotion feel questionable. The final straw came this past weekend. Tony told me I would receive a pedicure by Ann after another customer's manicure was finished. Instead after her manicure, a full acrylic set was started on her, leaving me waiting behind the initial wait time I was told. My issue wasn't that she was being serviced, it was that I was given a wait time that was nowhere near accurate. Had I been told the truth from the beginning, I could have chosen to come back later or the next day. Instead, my time was wasted and I received no service. The next day, I returned for a pedicure again and was immediately told, "Ann's not here. Come back tomorrow," even though I never requested Ann. I then asked if my grandmother, another longtime customer had come by that morning. Since my grandmother and I often visit on different days and times, Tony usually mentions when he's seen her. Instead, he rolled his eyes, looked up at the ceiling, and sarcastically replied, "Maybe she's at home, on the toilet, or at the store." That response was completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and disrespectful. After years of overlooking these interactions, I finally spoke up and told Tony that the way he speaks to loyal customers is one of the reasons he's losing business. Unfortunately, after three years of loyalty, I can no longer support this business. The customer service here is horrible.
