The adult program has teachers that do the bare minimum. They are not motivating to make you better. Someone at the school said "maybe if they pay them more it might be better" Which I disagree. My friend recently sold a guitar to Guitar Center, and the whole process went smoothly…read more Ronnie (manager) was very knowledgeable over the phone and he answered all of my friends questions before we stopped in. When we arrived, Nik handled everything from inspecting the guitar to getting a quote from his vintage department and then completing all of the required paperwork. My friend knows he could have gotten more money selling it on Reverb, but he didn't want to deal with the packing and shipping. They made a fair offer, and the convenience was worth it. Nik was great, and we both had a good experience.

I highly recommend SoFlo Music School to experienced players and first time players, including…read moreyoungsters. My wife Erica and I take music lessons at SoFlo every Saturday morning. We are in our sixties and have seen students as young as four years old. They tailor the lessons to the individual student no matter the age or experience level. What really makes SoFlo special is the fun atmosphere. The place just has an upbeat vibe. You can tell that the students and the teachers enjoy being there. Our instructor, Lauren (who co-owns the business), pushes each of us to play more challenging songs, but keeps it fun and interesting by working on songs that we like and want to learn how to play. The evening student recitals are fun. (I don't know who enjoys them more, the kids or the parents. - LOL) SoFlo is the music school for anyone looking for a nice clean safe facility, especially for first time students. For what it's worth I have seen kids start taking lessons and then a few months down the road see that their mom or dad are taking lessons too. It's just that kind of place.
