I sing on a worship team and kept losing stamina by the final songs of a set. Elie helped me pace my voice instead of treating every chorus like the biggest moment. I am finishing services with more stability and far less throat fatigue. Thanks Elie read more

I had an absolute ball taking singing lessons from Aria. I'd been wanting to do it for a long time but always thought it might be to intense or stresssful but I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't matter that I wasn't a professional or had zero experience, she made me feel like a rockstar in every lesson, which was pretty amazing. She's so much more than a singing teacher, she's a true vocal coach who understands the music industry inside and out. If you've ever wanted vocal lessons, performance coaching, or even artist development she the GOAT. I was so happy she offered Zoom lessions since her studio is in another state! This was something I'd always wanted to do, and I'm so glad I finally gave myself the chance.. read more

I sang musical theater for a couple years in high school and wanted to become a pop singer now that I'm out of school. I didn't know if it was realistic but I'm going for it because it's a dream that keeps me awake at night. The truth is, with my last vocal coach it would take 12 weeks to accomplish what I learn in one or 2 weeks with Aria. It's so much fun, she makes me feel comfortable and I get a super dramatic improvement every time. Anyway, I am somewhat critical of my vocals still but now have the confidence to get on stage with pop. I actually got a call back for America's Got Talent. I have to owe it to singing lessons with Aria because I auditioned last year and heard nothing back. I hired the Olympic level coach for voice, and got Olympic level results. It's a yes for me and she's super nice. read more

If you want to be a singer it's definitely worth it to go to someone at this level. I've worked with 3 other voice coaches in my life and by far Aria has improved my voice the fastest. After the 1st session I walked out of there and listened to the recording and it was crazy how much better I sounded singing the same song at the end of the lesson vs beginning. That was all the proof I needed. Now I've worked with her for 10 lessons and can leave an honest review. I've gotten more out of this than years I've spent other places. I told myself it's time vs money. If you have the time, go somewhere cheaper and spend a year for what you can get done in 2 months here. No brainer for me. Give it a lesson and the proof is in the recording. read more

I got 3 singing lessons as a birthday gift so my lessons were very limited. I loved Aria's method of teaching, it was very practical. One of the biggest hurdles was getting comfortable and singing in front of a complete stranger. Aria has a very warm, patient, easy going, fun personality which helped put me at ease. She initially had me sing a few songs to evaluate my abilities (none) and then had me work on a song of my choice. Instead of boring you with music theory, she breaks down the song for you and teaches you techniques along the way. Its a great way to learn especially since its a song you picked yourself. If you are not musically inclined Aria will translate complicated singing theories to something easy for you to understand. The techniques are simple but effective. Aria makes sure you remember the techniques by having you repeat it over and over even after you've gotten it right. It worked! I still remember all the techniques she taught me when l practice singing in my recording studio (my car and shower) every day . I wish I had more time with her to work on a few more advanced techniques. It would have been nice if she had a way to record each lesson so you can hear yourself improve. I tried recording off my phone but the quality sucked. I had no experience at all and ZERO natural talent when I first started. At least now, I have some experience (and still zero talent). Hopefully my singing is slightly more tolerable then before. read more

Hi there! Aria at The Golden Voice was really great to work with. She was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgable. I had a session with her in order to improve the power in my voice. As a university professor, being able to lecture in a large classroom is really important and I found it difficult to project my voice. The same principles that apply to singing can be applied to lecturing too! I now have lots of exercises to practice at home and in the car. I learned a lot during our session because Aria took the time to explain the theory behind why I was having difficulty projecting my voice and how I can use my diaphragm to get more power. I would highly recommend Aria at The Golden Voice as your next voice coach. Dr. Christa Wilkin read more

I'm a closet singer and in the shower diva with dreams of actually being able to sing in public and having people enjoy what comes out. I'm actually a comedic actress and want to include singing in my act but I needed a bit of a brush up on my vocal skills before I was brave enough to give it a shot. Like some of the others on here I purchased 2 lessons through Life Booker. I called in December to book my lessons but only got an answering machine, I guess she was away for the holidays. I was pretty disappointed as I had shows coming up but I called again in early January and managed to get a couple of the last openings she had before my coupon expired. Apparently she was slammed with last minute bookings like mine so I guess I got lucky. Once I had my lessons with Aria I was really glad I got in. She's an amazing teacher and made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. Although I do great in front of crowds I'm actually a bit shy in person & she really helped me get through that nervousness. Her studio is also amazing and really fun to hang out in. I met another girl who was chilling in her waiting room who was actually signed to Disney, I told her I loved Disney (my guilty pleasure). I hope her show gets made so I can see her perform. Anyway, I completely recommend Aria and The Golden Voice. Except for the initial disappointment at not being able to book right away the entire experience was amazing and I'll be going back from time to time for brush-ups when I can afford it. To anyone reading the Life Booker peoples 1 star reviews, I think they're being unfair. Aria told me that after the coupons expired that she'd credit it towards the price of a full lesson. The people who called last minute must have been disappointed (& I comiserate) but seriously, coupons have an expiry date for a reason people! Stop hating on her because her business is doing well. Thanks Aria for everything, I hope to work with you again in the future :) read more

I live in Marina Del Rey which is where her studio is....so I decided to go even though the revues were so so. But, I was in the restaurant business, so I knew that sometimes the reviews don't tell the story whole story, especial with coupons. Anyhow, I went to see Aria. There is no doubt this person is a pro. I know this because the first thing she asked me about was me. Not what I like in music, or could I sing, or belt, whatever. Me. That is a professional. I also got the distinct feeling she is a strait shooter. I take acting lessons, I figured this would help me with voice, breathing etc. And it did. Lots. The only thing I would change is the price. Although there are price breaks. On the upside you can learn allot very quickly with her way of teaching. She is super friendly in her style, and something tells me that she is also incredibly time and goal driven. My two cents. read more

First off, I was shocked to read the three reviews with the low ratings. The description is clearly people who have never worked with Aria nor even met her. I have been working with Aria for 6 months and she has been supportive, positive and uplifting in my journey to help me with my music career. Aria has spent extra time talking to me outside of class and has given me priceless advice. I have been singing since I was a kid but moved to Los Angeles two years ago to make it professionally as a singer. It has been such a challenge trying to break though and make any kind of money at my craft before I met Aria. Now I get paid to sing demos and background vocals which is a great start. My voice sounds so much better, because I learned how to control it. Two years ago, I couldn't get a singing job to save my life. Pros: I learned to control my voice, and know a ton of new techniques. I now have a paid gig recording demos because of her advice. I am doing live shows in Hollywood. I got hooked up by Aria with an awesome producer and am recording my album! Easy parking. Competitive rates. I am so much closer to my dreams coming true. Every week I look forward to the lesson. The waiting room is very serene and has spa music playing. I learn a massive amount of technique and music business info each lesson. She cares about me like a big sister and I feel protected. Cons: She doesn't accept every student. She is wait listed so you have to book out in advance. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy, or you pay for the session. If you are late, you miss out on the beginning of your lesson. Overall she is getting 5 stars because this is 5 star place. If you want to be the best, you need to train with the best. If you're seriously looking to make it in the music business, give Aria a call. She will be 100% honest with you while also inspiring you to achieve you're goals. She gives you practical steps to get there and then follows up with you to help you along. She will educate you on the business and most importantly help you dramatically improve your voice! read more

Aria is absolutely amazing! I've been taking classes with her for a while now and my voice has improved drastically! The classes are catered to YOU, and what YOU want to get better at, so you'll never feel like you're wasting your time or money. Aria knows a lot about the music industry, so whether you're thinking about singing as a hobby or pursuing it as a career, I highly recommend taking classes with her. She's also a great person and genuinely cares about her students' well being! read more

I worked with Aria for a couple months & it was one of the best experiences I had. She is one of the kindest & smart people I have met, I truly look up to her. Within the first lesson, I was trying to learn a new breathing technique and I couldn't quite get it. She caught onto my learning style and understood how I learnt things analytically and by doing very quickly and continued to adapt her teaching style to what fit me best. She has a lot of experience and understanding about the music industry having experienced it first hand. There is no doubt that Aria is a pro. She is quick to understand where a person is coming from and how they are feeling and in turn, the best way to teach said person. She teaches you like a friend and an equal, even though she has a huge amount of experience and wisdom I never once felt that she was looking down on me. Aria has helped me with my confidence and has taught me about many things in the music industry such as branding, vocal techniques/exercises, songwriting, song structure and pitching. At times, she can be very blunt about what she thinks, but this is one of the many things I love about her. She says exactly what is on her mind, and gives such direct critiques & always has your best interest at heart. Thanks to her guidance, I am currently transitioning into working music full time and working on my debut EP & working on songwriting for other artists and at times other companies. And whilst this is incredibly corny, I truly don't know where I'd be without her. Thank you Aria! read more

I received a singing lesson from my wife for Christmas and never had a singing lesson before. Although I love music and singing, I really had no idea how to improve or even if there were things I could do to improve. Aria started off our lesson by finding out what my goals were, which she used to customize my lesson to help me accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. I like how she taught me some fundamentals of singing (warm up and breathing) and worked with me until I got it right! Lastly, I really enjoyed practicing a song of my choice while learning some great techniques that I was able to practice right away!! Aria is a professional coach and I would recommend her services to anyone!! read more

Aria Johnson is my vocal coach. She has helped me improve my confidence when hitting high notes, she's helped with my breathing, my posture, facial expressions, performance, write and many more. Every time I walk out of my session I always come out feeling better about not only my voice, but myself confidence. I walk out happy and proud! I have a couple of singles out now on iTunes that she helped me with Vocal Production. Also, I used to not be able to sing Halo from Beyonce because of all of the riffs and crazy notes, but now I can sing it piece of cake infront of a lot of people. Aria is great, and the experience is great from beginning to when ever you decide. With Aria, it's all about you! read more
