What really stood out was their technology -- the way they handle inspections, communication, and customer service is on another level. I honestly think more repair shops should adopt the software Alvin's uses; it made the whole process transparent and easy to follow. Tony and his team took great care of me and my car. They patiently answered all my questions, walked me through every detail of the work that was done, and recommended which services to do now versus later to help me save money. They even worked around my schedule so I could get to work on time that afternoon. I highly recommend Alvin's Auto Center for anyone needing maintenance or repairs. Tony and his team treat your car like it's their own.

From my first car fresh out of high school to the 5+ vehicles i've owned since, Alvin's has given me a level of satisfaction and comfort that no other shop has managed to do. Even for vehicle repairs that I know I can do at home, I still opt for bringing my car into Alvin's, knowing that they will do it right and make sure it's right every time. Their pricing is very fair taking into consideration the amount of value you get. They have some extremely knowledgeable technicians who have been in the industry for many many years. Mike also makes sure to always purchase parts that come with warranty (unless stated otherwise) and i've seen parts that come with 1-5 year warranties. It adds an extra layer of comfort knowing you won't be charged again for a faulty part or a job not done to proper spec. If you're considering a new shop to take your vehicle for general repairs and maintenance, I would look no further. Alvin's really knows what they're doing, and Mike at the front desk is extremely easy to reach out to.

SHOPPER BEWARE!!! Please read all…read more Hi, my name is Jp Aceves I am a 43-year-old United States veteran and small business owner I just spent the last 10 years trying to build my own business managing other people's restaurants and even living in my car when things got really rough. I recently won an equity license with the city of San Jose and after all my hard work, the owners of the restaurant I work at gave me a 2010 Dodge caravan As a gift in the hopes that it would be good to help me start my own delivery business and keep my cost low since I don't have much. I took the van to Big O tires I was told it was the best diagnostic report, and that they were very honest. I paid $210 and told them my story that I was looking to see if this van was worth investing in and that it was gonna be a big part of my business venture. After they ran the report, they told me what needed to be fixed which came out to $3180. They told me my transmission was fine. In fact Howard the manager looked me in the eye and told me my transmission was fine. I don't have a lot of money so I financed through EZ pay and after I did that right as I was signing, they told me oh yeah it's also 147% APR if you don't pay it off in three months that's insane but that's not even why I'm writing this review They kept my car for two days and I picked it up on Saturday, August 30 and as soon as I started driving home for the first time, the van started having transmission problems. In fact by the time I got home, I could no longer even reverse and I had to get the car towed back to them. I spoke to Howard, he was baffled and said I have no clue what's going on, but we'll figure out , I reminded him that he said the transmission was fine All he could say was I know , 12 days more days later I finally called again and that's when Howard told me I needed a new transmission and that he was sorry in fact, the part that made me really angry, was knowing everything that was happening to me, and knowingthe fact that I went from taking a vehicle that was donated to me to now already been almost 5000 in debt. I would have to come up with another $3000 to pay for a refurbished transmission since he was so graciously and generously gonna give me a small discount Howard proceeds to tell me "hey at least it runs forward" well thank God Howard it's not a doctor because that's like telling someone. Hey your son is in a coma, but at least he's breathing. To make matters worse, I try to file a complaint with corporate, but Eric Martinez the manager has already colluded with Howard and have decided not to call me. I waited 10 more days my first payment is due in a couple days and I don't even have a van to drive. I've had to postpone the start of my business venture which I can risk losing my investor at this point every other mechanic I've gone to is baffled as to how they didn't catch the transmission and the reason is it's cause they don't do a good job here they just do the basic job they use computers. A mechanic has to drive. The car has to feel the engine. You don't just plug it into a machine even more so Howard vouch for work he didn't do. for all, I know I got hustled. I've had to call the BAR of mechanics that number is 1 800 952 5210 I started a huge complaint. also got in touch with a woman named Mrs Sheehan from Sacramento she's part of aorganization called CARS she is going to investigate the high interest loans and I have been given a chance to speak to the media about my situation. I hope anyone who reads this can take caution that they're not as honest as they say they are and they're not as good as they say they are. They are too reliant on technology. You're not really getting a mechanic you're just getting some dude using Technology and then charging you money when you could go to a much more simpler mechanic who could probably do better work even more so they're a bunch of cowards for stripping me of my opportunity. I've worked so hard lived in my car. I've had to clean toilets and do so much more just so I can get crapped on by the people here -JP
