We called Allen's Air Care (AAC) to look at our HVAC unit. We are selling our house and wanted to…read moremake sure it would pass any inspections. AAC came out and inspected the unit 3 weeks ago. We were charged $125 and were told that everything looked good. We accepted an offer on our house and passed inspection, though they only checked to see if the HVAC was working and did not send a specialist. It is now Thursday and the unit has completely stopped working. We close in 5 days, with the final walk through in 4. I called AAC about 30 minutes before they closed and explained the situation, including the clean bill of health they had given me three weeks prior. The lady who answered was nice, but said they couldn't send anyone out today. If I want, she told me, they could send someone out tomorrow, and it will be $65 plus whatever parts are needed. No mention was made about the apparently incorrect inspection we paid for. When I agreed to have them come out, I was told that they would be by "sometime tomorrow". I understand that AAC can't catch everything; no one could. But to me, a company is defined by how they handle situations like mine. The fact is they gave me a green light on my HVAC unit and charged me for it ($40 more then others I called after the fact). To make no mention of this - not even acknowledge it - is unacceptable. What exactly did I pay for? Don't you stand behind your work at all? Then, knowing my time-sensitive situation - not to mention how HOT it is today - the best you can give me is your standard price and an 8 hour window for when you'll show up? I ended up canceling my appointment and going with Parker's Heating and Cooling, who were far more helpful, talking me through some things (after hours on their own time) to look at in case I could fix it myself. At no charge. We couldn't figure it out, but you can bet I scheduled them to come, and they'll be here first thing in the morning. That's the kind of customer service that will have me calling Parker's for the rest of my life. If you're looking for the same, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Allen's Air Care.

Airbusters, a sister-brand of Ashbusters, has proven themselves to be a valuable addition to…read moreservice companies I trust and am happy to have discovered. Ashbusters has done a fantastic job over the years for the care of my fireplace - with professionalism, friendliness, and technical ability. Airbusters is no different, truly an absolute pleasure to work with. So far I've had Jeremy, Brandon, and Calvin at my home and each gave me a sense of trust and reassurance in the services they provide. These are hard-workers and take pride in their work. It all started with a text message from Ashbusters making me aware of Airbusters and a limited-time promotion for an HVAC tune-up for a very reasonable price. I had scheduled them to come out with ease and they were going to be there the next day, no problem. Brandon texted me and let me know his expected arrival time, always appreciate that, and I looked forward to his arrival. Unfortunately, he had a GPS issue and ended up on the other-side of town and would be 45-minutes after the arrival-time expected. He asked if that was ok but I had pressing matters to tend to and saw it going to late into my day. I asked for a reschedule and didn't hear back from Jeremy. I ended up calling Jeremy a couple days later to check-in and he owned his mistake for not reaching out and they're obviously working hard for many clients in the heat wave we've had the last few weeks. He let me know he was in the middle of a job and didn't have his calendar in front of him but would call me back later when he did. He reached out to me the next day and got me on the books. Brandon came up shortly after and completed the tune-up without any issues. He also cleaned the coil (I hope I'm using correct terminology) as it wasn't very dirty, something that would typically be an additional service if it was very dirty but he threw it in. He took his time to do everything properly and I did not get a sense of rushing or skipping any steps. A great experience and Brandon did everything and more to meet my service needs. Fast-foward a couple weeks (last night) and I wake up to it feeling warmer than normal in the house. The thermostat showed it a couple degrees warmer than what I had it set to and I didn't feel any air coming out of the vents even though it was set to Cool. Long-story short, of many hours attempting various troubleshooting of my own to include powering it all off for a couple hours and back on, things weren't working right. I called Airbusters shortly after 8AM this morning and they told me they'd let Jeremy know and that I should hear from him. It wasn't long after that I got a call from Jeremy that he was on his way. I had already made plans to relocate the family for the day so they wouldn't be stuck in a hot house in the middle of a heat wave. Jeremy was here with Calvin by 9:20AM. Less than an hour later, he came in, checked the system, confirmed everything was working again and let me know that one of the breakers was bad feeding the unit and they replaced it. I thanked him for their work and identifying the problem quickly. I was fully prepared to pay for the service and part without a second-thought. Jeremy let me know not to worry about it, they had made mistakes in the past with the tune-up call and not arriving at the time they said and the rescheduling delay after, this was on them, happily. I let them know they're my "go-to" company for all my hvac needs and I'll be telling everyone I know to use them for their hvac needs. Thanks again Jeremy, Brandon and Calvin. Thank you Airbusters! You took what was a very stressful night and morning and made everything right.

I called them for a repair and my husband told them it needed the gas. So they come out and tells us yes it needs gas! But get this they say we don't put the gas in anymore! They purposely withheld that information from us just so they could charge for a service call knowing fully well they couldn't perform the service needed. I have now decided to file a BBB report . I will be looking for a new service company. I had been paying $ 119.00 a year for Spring and Fall check ups. Not bad very reasonable. My husband called and was told the plan was 100 a year. Then why am I paying 119.00? I called up and to inquire about the rates and was told they do not offer the yearly maintenance plans anymore. Well how can that be if not 5 minutes before they gave my husband a quote for a 100.00. I do not like dishonest companies. I thought so highly of this company for a long time. Nothing good lasts I guess. Very disappointed. I have never heard of an AC Company not having a yearly plan. They also said we needed another capacitor at 150.00. The one they put in didn't even last 5 years, and they should last from 5-20. I had asked for a refund of the 99 dollar fake service call and was denied so therefore I did not let them put this in. We bought one from Amazon for less 20 bucks. Big mark up.
