AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE PROPLE IN YOUR HOME. This company installed a new furnace incorrectly as natural gas and I have propane. This led to poisonous gas in my home. I spoke with multiple other companies all said entire furnace needs to be replaced. Due to their error furnace is no longer working and it is 6 to 7 weeks old. This company is refusing to replace what they ruined. Never mind the poison gas that I have been breathing for 6 to 7 weeks. I have no furnace, health issues, and they avoided my calls. We had a water leak in basement. JLM responded quickly and made repair at a fair price. I would recommend.

Obligatory statement, "If I could give zero stars, I would." Unfortunately, my house had electrical issues and this was the company that my Home Warranty Company selected. First of all, the customer service of JLM is terrible. Most of the time when you call, the phone just continuously rings. Sometimes you'll get a machine but leaving a message is pointless because they won't call you back. When they did show up, the technicians were consistently 2-3 hours later than the time window I would be given. Of course they never would never call to let me know that they would be late and always acted like it wasn't a big deal when they did show up. The company told me that I needed to have my entire electrical panel replaced in order to fix my electrical issues. The technician, James, showed up around 7:30 PM for a 4:30 appointment. He did not leave my house until after 8:00 AM the next morning, and the work STILL wasn't finished. Needless to say, I spent a restless night on the couch by candlelight as the power was out the entire time. The company charged me $400 for permits to have the electrical work done but I have not been contacted to have a permit inspection done, even though JLM told me that I would be contacted about a week after the work was completed (this was 2 months ago). To make matters worse, the power to entire my house has now begun to intermittently turn off for 3-5 seconds and then switch back on throughout the day. This resets my alarm system, which then decides to go off (keep in mind this often happens in the middle of the night). I've called the company several times over the past week and even spoken with Trish a couple of times, who is aware of my issues. The last time we spoke, Trish claimed she "forgot" to tell James about my electrical issues and she'd follow up. That was 3 days ago. No communication with JLM since then. I would STAY AWAY from this company! They are totally unreliable, unprofessional, and don't have the slightest idea about how to treat their customers. I'm now going to have to hire another electrical company to come out and fix their mistakes. read more

Now I will have to wait for another for an appointment because it's peak season. It will be 95 degrees this weekend! Do not use! EVER! read more

This guy "James" with JLM Services is a clown. James came out to my home originally to fix an electrical issue that ended up being the power companies problem. James seemed nice enough so I said if anything else comes up I will give you a call. Well something else did come up almost immediately. Apparently the power issue fried my AC unit. Being that James supposedly works on AC as well he was the first and only person I called. James comes back out later that evening and diagnosis the issue as being a bad main board. Says that he thinks he has a unit in his shop he can swap with and if so will be back that night. One of the last things he says before leaving is that he will let me know if the until will work and a status of being back out that night. A couple hours go by and I had not received any word from James so I leave to get dinner. Well I arrive the restaurant and wouldn't you know who is setting at the bar. Mr James !!!!! LOL So after a very awkward conversation with James hes promising that he will be at my house first thing in the morning. The next morning I start texting and calling at around 10 am trying to get a status. I finally get an answer around 2:30 pm with the excuse that its a waiting game and hes trying to figure out if the board he has will work. I remind him that he promised he would be out that morning and didn't bother to text or return my calls. Ultimately it ended in him telling me about how busy he is and hes sorry but he just couldn't get to the phone. At this point i'm almost desperate and just want my AC fixed so I say fine figure it out and get here ASAP. He promises to followup that evening with a status of the parts availability and when he will be back out. No response that night or the next day. I have yet to ever hear back from him. As a Police Officer I know I have been treated nicer by people who hate me than how James (owner(so he says)) spoke to me when I called to inquire where our tech was last Saturday. To begin, lets start with our AC breaking, my wife called our Home Warranty company and they sent out Larry with JLM. Larry was nice and happy to test our unit and diagnosed the problem rather quickly. Larry stated he would return on Saturday at 11am after getting the part we required to fix the unit, I said ok and then paid the 100$ deductible and Larry was on his way. Saturday at noon I called to check on the status of Larry and was told that Larry wont be coming because they dont work on weekends. Confused, I asked why would Larry say hes coming if he doesnt work and James replied, "if Larry said that then hes fired". To make a very long story short, this company began throwing out excuses and told me, Im a home Warranty and not even a paying customer so why should they cater to my needs, I told him his customer service sucked and he hung up on me. Trish apologized for the way James was so unnecessarily rude and said they were working on ordering our part. Eventually they began ignoring my wifes and my phone calls so we had to call the home warranty company to see if we could get our money back. This is the most horrible scenerio I've ever encountered in customer service and will NEVER be calling this company for ANY reason. I'll take my chances calling a plumber to fix my HVAC before I call this company again. In my opinion, this unprofessional company deserves 0 stars for: Lying, Rudeness to customer and technically theft if you define it in such a way. Concluding, every word to this awful story is 100%true, this is MY experience with this company and in no way should be a basis for future customer consideration. read more

Our furnace went out at midnight, called JLM Services and talked to James, he was at our house by 130 am and had our heat going like new again by 230 am. So grateful to James, and JLM. They are really a 24 hour service company, and was so nice about it. read more

A month now. 96* last night, at 9 pm, in my house, and a heat wave is on its way. It was even cooler outside. Techs showed up the evening of 7 June (a Thursday). Half of the duct work needs to replaced. Was told that they would call in for approval. This was not done until 18 June. Getting them to answer the phone...... Well you will have a better chance of parting the Red Sea. I called them well over 50 times and actually spoke to someone maybe 5 times. Otherwise, it would go to voice mail (usually full) or just no answer. When I did speak to someone, I was told, "We are trying to get out there this afternoon to fix it, we will call you back in an hour". I am not sure if they are referring to "Earth" time or some other world time. I STILL HAVE NO AC. This company is by far the worse company I ever have had any business with. How a company such as this can still be in business is beyond any comprehension. I agree with another review on here; "Don't walk away - RUN from this company" . If you are using your Home Warranty and after checking the status of your request, you see that this company (JLM Services) is the one scheduled, Call the warranty company back and tell them you want another company. This is the sorriest excuse for a company I have ever seen. I bought my home in November and since it was cool outside i had no way of testing that my AC worked. When it got hot out i called my home warranty company to have someone come out and fix/replace the unit. after about two weeks of going round and round with the warranty company they finally got me in touch with JLM. Trish and I set up a date that she could have someone out to look at the unit. James and a helper came out and decided that my old unit was toast and i needed a new one... SCORE! right? no... This is when the rat race began with me trying to get in touch with them to come and put the thing in. After spending hours and hours on the phone with the warranty company trying to just make contact, they finally got JLM to answer and they informed the warranty company that they had my unit and it was just a matter of a tech getting out to put it in. i waited and waited and waited. i ended up driving down to JLM's office twice (because they wouldn't answer their phone) and was told that if it wasn't that day it would for sure be the next day and that someone will 100% call me either way to confirm a time that they would be there to put it in, so i waited. two days later i made my second trip to the office with the intent on picking up my unit and having somone else put it in and i would let the warranty company figure it out. While sitting in the parking lot for 3 hours i noticed that the number on the side of the vans is different than the one i had for the company. I called it and little did i know that it was directly to the owners' cell phone. He answered, and said " i'm going to come up and rip out your old F***ing unit and then you can wait like everyone else". i don't know how any company that has been in business for 20 years could possibly think that talking to a customer like that is okay, part of the fee that they charged me was to "recover" the refrigerant..... they cut the line with a pair of copper cutters and let it vent to atmosphere i was under the impression that they would be using special tools that would justify me paying them to use it but nope, just let it vent. I do think that it is important to note however, that the techs that showed up to my house were very polite and professional. i also want to add that i understood that i am not the only person in the area that has an issue with their HVAC and that is my choice to live so far away from the city, but all i was asking for was a little bit of communication. If JLM called and told me that the unit was going to be put in a month from now, i'd be okay with it, but instead it was lie after lie, on top of blatant neglect. Worst experience with a company i have ever had and i hope that they get dropped from the warranty company so that they can't pull this on anyone else.
