My intention is to give this business feedback so they can improve and not normalize my experience…read more I read reviews beforehand and still wanted to give this place a shot because I don't see a scrub service often. I made an appointment the day before, came early afternoon on a weekday a few minutes beforehand. There wasn't anyone at the front desk, but a bell on the door alerted staff to come forward. Otherwise there's also a bell on the desk you can ring to get their attention. I booked the 60 min combo massage with scrub (This might have been the mistake). From the earliest photo of the services menu from 2023, it would be $65 + $45, but it seems prices went up and the website differs as well, so it's $70 + $50, or $120 up front. The photo menu says 20-30 minutes for the scrub, and the website doesn't give any duration, just price. After paying, I was offered to use the restroom before finally getting to my room. I wasn't given any instructions except to start face down. So I asked, "Do I take off everything? Keep underwear on?" And they said, "Whatever you're comfortable with." I proceeded to remove everything. There was a small cabinet, but not really any counter space to put your pocket items. There was a big chair, so I put all my clothes and belongings on that. The blanket to cover yourself is thin and translucent, so you can kinda see through it. The beginning was a dry massage with the blanket draped on your whole body. They asked what kind of pressure I like, and I told them medium. It felt mostly like elbow/forearm assessing the body for muscle tightness/knots, and that was 10 minutes or so. It was honestly just putting/holding pressure on different spots for 5 seconds each. My expectation was that after they felt around, they would do their routine and zone in on where the problem areas were. I assumed the staff knows the typical problem areas are upper back and scapula region, and that they would work to knead out knots and improve circulation again. So after this first dry massage portion, they brought down the blanket below my buttocks and began the oil massage. I can only describe this part as unremarkable. They started at the neck with a horizontal motion from the spine outward to the sides, and worked down toward the hips, ending with a pull back motion from the hip toward the spine. I've never had a masseuse go this way because it's actually ticklish, but that's just me (nothing wrong with it, just different). The rest was okay, but again I expected there to be more focus on those typical problem areas. I wanted them to drive those thumbs/knuckles around the scapula and upper back, but really it was just a full body rub with oil and then hot stones. Just to reinforce another review I saw, there was a time where the bell at the front rung, and it seemed like nobody was up front, so the staff working on me was finishing up her part of the routine, but ALMOST walked away to help the front desk. Luckily someone came out, but it definitely ruins the immersion and relaxation. When I turned over, they draped a towel over my eyes and did a décolleté massage. Absolutely no scalp/facial massage, which is my favorite part T.T (Maybe it's a 90 min full body perk only? Please give more info) I was really hoping they'd go into the temples, forehead, masseter muscles, and a head scratch, but again just a body rub all on the top. I was also surprised they didn't really do the hand/finger massage, but just pulled your arms backward for a stretch. They ended with a lower back stretch (that twisting stretch). After the massage was done, then she prepared the scrub room. She left briefly while I was still laying there, came back a couple minutes later and instructed me to use the sheet to cover myself while we walked to the back towards the scrub room. HOWEVER, there was a guest at the front at this time talking with the front desk, AND like I mentioned before, this sheet is translucent. At the very least, the staff said to wait until it was clear, but I got quite self-conscious and embarrassed. PLEASE offer a robe for this part. I shouldn't have to ask for it, and I shouldn't have to do a walk of shame where people could partially see me naked. The scrub felt like a low effort body rub for me as well. I started face down as before. They rinse you down, and then they rub you down with that gritty product that feels like it has those beads inside. TMI, I should also share that they did indeed go into my crevices and armpits. The scrub/rinse couldn't have been longer than 15 minutes. It was probably like 30 seconds of scrubbing on each corner of the body, and a minute on each side of the torso. Then I did walk of shame again. I looked at the clock, it had been 80 minutes. I reluctantly tipped really bad. No stamp card to entice me to come back either. It might have just been better to get the 90 min full body looking back, but everything else should be noted.

Unfortunately, the massage itself was disappointing (2 stars). It honestly didn't feel like the therapist knew how to do a proper Thai massage. A real Thai massage includes stretching, pulling, and targeted pressure point techniques--but none of that was there. Instead, it was mostly random pressing and oil rubbing. When she got tired, she just used her elbows. There was no technique, no flow, and nothing that resembled an actual Thai massage. I specifically asked multiple times for her to focus on my neck and shoulders due to pain, but she didn't listen and kept working on other areas. I had to keep repeating myself with no improvement. Overall, not worth my time or money. I won't be coming back--but maybe others will have a different experience depending on the therapist.

Please read this…read more.. So I called asking for a Swedish massage which is usually soothing. And I was set up with a masseuse by the name of Jason. The massage itself definitely was not Swedish. There were times where it was good and there was times where it was just rough. I kept informing the masseuse to go lighter but I assumed maybe he didn't hear me right. So when the session was over I asked to speak to Alicia which I believe is the owner and I expressed to her that the massage was not relaxing and that i infomed him over and over. She corrected him infront of me and explained to him he must read body language. The issue itself wasn't that the Massage was bad it was just rough and painful more of a deep tissue and I would recommend anyone who likes deep tissue to see Jason (oddly as it sounds when I used to work at the Massage center some people like rough massages) Thanks Alicia for understanding and taking care of the issue she was very apologetic.

Our massage therapists were friendly and had strong hands!! Alicia did a killer job on the BF and made sure to check on him often. He couldn't stop raving about his massage after! I'm getting her next time! My massage therapist was Linda (?) and she did a great job too! Wayyyy better than the last two massages I had. Keep in mind that this is a very quaint, but clean place - the rooms weren't fully enclosed so there was an open space near the ceiling (check out one of my photos for a better idea). We could also hear people walking up and down the hallway and even the toilet flushing nearby. If you can look past that and don't need 100% peace and quiet like me to stay relaxed, then the massage itself will be worth it! Our only other gripe was that they were taking a few phone calls during the massage. Alicia later apologized and said it was a really busy morning. Again not a big deal. We are definitely coming back regardless! (:

I had a 5:45 PM appointment and received a text at 4:24 PM asking me to confirm. I was working and didn't see/respond to the message right away. At 5:20 PM, while we were already on our way to the appointment, I replied to her text confirming that I was coming. I was then told that Katia had already left the spa because I hadn't responded. I had not received any message beforehand letting me know that she had decided to leave or that my appointment had been canceled. I reviewed my original appointment emails and text reminders afterward and couldn't find anything stating that same-day confirmation was required or that an appointment would be canceled if I didn't respond by a certain time. Had I known that, I obviously would have made sure to respond sooner. I completely understand wanting to avoid no-shows, but I don't think it's reasonable to cancel a scheduled appointment before its start time without a previously communicated confirmation policy or notifying the client that the appointment has been canceled. I was especially disappointed because I had really been looking forward to the massage.

Fabi. I just realized the spelling of your business - I wish I could give you one more star for…read morethat LOL. I love it! Let's do some quick math here. I have one 3 year old who slept the most comfortably on me for the first 1.5 years and one 11 month old who has pretty much slept on me since birth. Basically my back has been telling me wth for almost two years now. So for one of my me time breaks I decided to book myself a massage. Now, I've been hesitant about massages since the only ones I truly like are the ones at chiropractor offices. I enjoy a good strong deep tissue and hoped that Fabi could do the trick. All my life I prided myself on my posture, but the after kids me wasn't feeling so, well, straight. The upper middle of my back felt crushed and I almost swear I was hunching. Fabi's place is located in Jolie spa - basically you drive all the way down Whitewood (which by the way is a nightmare of a street to go down during school drop off/pick up) until you see almost like a random building. That random building has the very small and modest Jolie spa in it. Fabi has a great personality, super fit and tiny and the moment she started working her magic, I knew that it was going to be an hour of back workout. No, seriously. I told her to go all in with the pressure - she understood the assignment. My pain tolerance is pretty high and there were times where I almost told her to ease up, but I hung in there because I felt like she was really moving and smoothing out years and years of kid abuse to my back. I told her after the massage that it was like running to me - there were so many times I wanted to give up because it was hurting, but the hurt was so good and I knew the outcome was just going to benefit me. And thank goodness it paid off. Every last minute of it. I could instantly breath better, felt lengthened and straighter. Sure I was a little sore, but it comes with the great work she did. The next day I went for a run and felt amazing. Fabi books up quickly, and it's no wonder. When you find a good therapist that knows how to channel her strength, you keep them close! Hands down amazing Fabi! Will definitely be back.
