I should mention I'm a hair Colorist at a high end salon in Chicago (making me a bit more picky) but I wanted to get some French magic done while visiting Paris with my Husband, Gregory def delivered. Julien made blowing out my Kardashian like hair (long, thick, curly) seem easy while having fun convo, and the results were a beautiful bouncy blowout;) Def recommend this salon. Did I mention they were super accommodating and got me in within an hour or two of my calling that day (not due to not being busy because they were) but I said I was leaving the next day and must've heard the desperation in my voice over the phone;) Just a heads up for those traveling from the states. If you're one to count every cent you spend (my husband def is and was confused), ask questions BEFORE getting hair done anywhere you go. This IS NOT a negative comment about this salon at all, just a heads up that in most salons in Paris it's NOT UNUSUAL to pay extra for things like shampoo and conditioner. Most places back home only charge extra for deep conditioning, so I hate to see negative reviews taking away from great work over things that are pretty standard there;) Just factor that in before you get hair done abroad. I wasn't sure what to anticipate and as soon as I walked into the salon I was warmly welcomed and put at immediate ease with a inviting smile. Coming from California, at best I know some French words but Sarah speaks English well. Initially she spent time consulting with me and I shared photo of what I was looking for (I went from short length hair to a pixie cut). We comfortably discussed my needs and she was very attentive to understand and throughout checking along to ensure I was happy as we went along. My haircut was crafted expertly and extremely happy with the outcome. Sarah was so sweet, genuine and truly accommodating! Sarah brought me to the rear of the salon to the wash station room. She explained she wanted to create a relaxing and soothing experience while getting hair washed/conditioned. Dimmed lights with a visual slide show projection of tropical images to enhance the experience- totally cool. The shampoo wash and head massage was the best ever! Sarah expertly gave a lengthy head and neck massage and ended with a hot/warm head towel to further add to the experience. It was a real treat! The salon itself has a contemporary, a chic but yet warm design, immaculate. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. I was brought a tray of bottled Vitell water/glass during my visit. Be prepared since they don't rush you out the door with a quick turnaround appointment. Its apparent service is important and taking care of you takes added time which was very evident to me. Salon is easy to find on a side street off the active (popular amongst tourists) Rue Saint Denis (2nd Ard) about a 15 min walk from the Louvre/Notre Dame. Nice area to explore and walk about. I left the Saravy Salon super pleased and must say it was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris! I've been coming to Paris for years and this was my first time getting a haircut. My trepidations were quickly vanished and now I have a darling, stylish new haircut! Plan to be back again in the fall and will certainly book another appointment with Sarah at Saravy Salon!!!

My French is so-so but Veronique speaks English well and I was able to convey what I wanted. She made a suggestion that I was unsure of but lo and behold, it was much better than I imagined.
