14 years old here. I have an older sister, like WAYY older. Shes is 24 now. And she graduated high school 2017. And back in the 2010's when I was young she would take me often during the summer time. Usually she would take me swimming. Then to jjs. She moved to Australia (bc thats where my family is from) and so I haven't had it as often. But every-time I have it. It reminds me of summer-time, swimming, and oddly the song "We are young" by Fun. JJs is literally the best. And imma miss if after I move to Australia this summer. (Y'all should come to Australia) The service is a bit slow especially on hot days. But, I don't mind it. And I'm indecisive. So it gives me time to choose out which snow cone I want. And like I said. Stopped by during a road trip and was surprised to actually see a long line outside during times of Covid. Be prepared to wait in line. There were a few picnic benches you could sit in the area, but watch the ants! Flavors were quite unique - I like that they had mixed varieties and different types, like creamy. I chose the Blue Beast flavor which consisted of blue white coconut, white coconut, pina colada and cream. I enjoyed the mixture of flavors with the cream (just note they charge you extra for the cream). The ice was smoother than a lot of other snocone places - overall, not a bad place to pick up a sweet treat, just keep in mind you may be waiting in a line. read more

We've been a handful of times and had to leave half of them because the wait is unrealistic for anyone with anything else to do that day which would actually be fine if the Snowcones were worth it and the service was eager. Prepare to wait in line! Especially now that it's warming up! Hawaiian shaved ice is sooooo much better than those crunchy snow cones you used to get as a kid. JJ's is prob the best place to get snow cones here, but I've had way better (SnoBeach or Jim Jim's in Austin!) The texture isn't as fine as I'd like it to be. I was born and raised in Bryan and this place has changed locations and owners yet has been able to maintain its quality!! I love the Blue Sharpie and sometimes ask the staff what combinations they have come up with (I do that when I can't decide) but I love JJ's, even when there's a big ol line!! read more

Lately with the heat coming back I have been craving shaved ice bad. I have been frequenting Bahama Bucks the past week but today a group of friends recommended meeting up at this place. I ordered the Hurricane- delicious! This place is great! They have a HUGE menu, and additions that are the same as their competitors but better and cheaper. Holy cow. I don't even like snow cones, but these were amazing! I recommend getting a mixed flavor - the single flavors are ok but out of our group, the mixed ones were just amazing. The ice is shaved so fine, it's almost like sherbet. Very smooth! Great service to boot. read more
