I came here to wash a load of clothes. Called ahead of time and was able to reach someone and ask a question, which was great! It's a clean laundromat, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The Latina lady who I've seen there a couple times is always friendly and always cleaning. You can pay via coin or app. They also have vending machines with detergents as well as snacks. Super convenient. Parking is a bit small, it's a small lot, but it's convenient if you need to pull up with lots of loads. They also carry the El Aviso magazines! What a surprise! That place is a dump! The floors and counters are dirty, the inside machine was so dirty I used 3 lysol wipes to clean it. The machine at my apartment broke down and I walked to the nearest laundry mat which was this one in Temple street. I didn't even put my washed clothes in the dryer. The dryer at my building works so I took them home to dry. A little maintenance will make a big difference. read more

Been coming here for years and I can tell u I've just about everything. The people commenting about homeless being discriminated, there is a reason for that. Two incidents in particular. One time a lady stole clothes and put them on right then and there. So if you leave ur clothes good luck. Another time a couple threw trash everywhere and were yelling top of their lungs. Very unpleasant, this is why they "discriminate". Nora and Jorge are very pleasant people. Always cleaning and helping out when they are present. I would not recommend coming here I have been here a couple of times and each time I wonder why I didn't go to somewhere else. Well this last time I came and I put the money in a machine and things floated from underneath and when I told the attendant she said it is not her problem and wouldn't refund the money. Now would $2.75 break me no but the principal of good customer service is to say, "Sorry about that, and for your troubles let me refund your money". Impeccably, clean, attentive, service workers, and incredibly efficient equipment. I live in approximately half a mile from the facility, and I walk is in with walking distance. There's always equipment available to use and prices are very reasonable again the all staff members are friendly, and will go above beyond if deemed necessary efficacy. read more

I am highly disappointed with the employees at this laundromat. There was a simple miscommunication that occurred between the employee and a customer. The employee berated and scolded the customers loudly in front of other customers and said "you can do whatever you want in the streets but there needs to be order here" amongst other insults. I explained the miscommunication and he continued to speak to other employees in a nasty way about what happened loudly and disrespectfully. I witnessed this incident from beginning to end and the owner escalated the entire situation. Every person is entitled to clean clothes and they were paying customers. Moved to Westlake and came to JJ's for fluff and fold service. My building doesn't have machines and I thought I would treat myself just once. Well then I met Nora and I've been coming to drop my wash every week since. Nora is kind, prompt, and professional. Nora you're the best! Monday to Friday Fluff and Fold is available from 830-1130am and 6-9pm. Saturday and Sunday 10-8pm. $1 per pound for next day service. And she will hover, rush you, and she will continue to look at your machine to see how many minutes you have left in your machines. She will make sure you're uncomfortable the whole time you're doing laundry. The place closes at 8p and the last wash is at 630p. Visited this laundry mat today was disgusted by the behavior of the man who worked there. He was discriminating and bullying two unhoused people who were paying to do their laundry. He made this extremely uncomfortable for everyone and was being classist and rude, and explained that unhoused people from today on will not be able to do their laundry here. I don't like leaving these types of reviews. But I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. I started using their wash and fold services a month or so back. Everything was great first few times. Loads came back clean and neatly folded. This last time I had a major allergic reaction to the clothes. Like rash on my neck and itchy ALL over. I don't have sensitive skin and I have never been allergic to any laundry detergent before so I was so surprised. I reached out to let them know that I would buy my own detergent and if they could just wash the clothes again since I seem to be allergic to the detergent they used. They tried to charge me full price again using my laundry detergent. Seriously? It's not cheap. It's 1.50 a pound plus tip easily ran me 60 dollars which was fine when the clothes weren't giving me an allergic reaction. If they had washed again for free I would have continue paying for future loads with my own detergent to ensure it didn't happen again. I'm never coming back. That lack of customer service is unreal. read more

I give this laundromat 4 stars because it's pretty decent. I just wish it had more seating available. There are too many vending machines taking up great seating space and the bench they have is so uncomfortable. Other than that, this place is ok. read more

Small laundromat inside a small plaza. It's clean. It shares parking lot with the rest of business owners in that plaza. It uses change in order to use their machine. What I don't like about it some of their machine are not clearly marked as to how much load you can use it for. Also, there's no sink where you can wash your hands with when your hands get soiled with soap. They have a neutral bathroom where you also have to pay. There are not enough carts for patrons to use. There are only 6 carts available on site. 3 areas to fold your laundry. There is mega load which is $5.00. As to how much load, I don't know, it's mega! read more

I've tried leaving a review before, but it was filtered. Maybe I was too nice. Here's a revision. I like coming here, simple. It makes me feel human. Everything nowadays is very technology oriented and their staff is very hands-on. When I don't know how to use their bigger machines there is always someone on the clock. I've seen people fry the machines, so I prefer asking. Sometimes when the change machines are backed up, they will help me out by counting the change in front of me, sans machines. And since I am very forgetful and tend to forget my soap or something every f-ing time, I can just buy laundry stuff here - and the prices aren't something ridiculous like $10 and a soul. I would make one request, I would just want a different music selection haha. read more

I come here because of the staff. Honestly, there are other chromed out laundromats out there using the latest machines and all that gimmicky crap, but when something goes wrong I can never find a single employee. Here, there is ALWAYS someone on the clock, just like Stacy said. When I decided to be brave enough and try those giant machines out, they broke it down Barney style for me and hey, guess what? My giant ass blanket came out clean. The machines are kind of old but they do their job, and it's not like they overcharge their customers so they can change the machines every week. I've spoken to the owner a couple of times (because he actually works at his business) and it IS family owned so they don't have the big franchise budget. I don't mind it though. This place does make you feel human. You get to interact with the staff on a human level as opposed to just plain consumerism. It's a nice change. I don't even care about buying the jumbo sized detergent and all that fragrance crap anymore. I buy it here. It's affordable, but truthfully I really do not mind contributing a couple of bucks here. I just left about an hour ago and decided to write this. As a single female it's hard to find a laundromat that's not crowded with creepy men trying to hit on you while you wash your underwear. I've tried at least 7 different laundromat's in the area and this is BY FAR the best one I've been to. It's extremely clean, to the point where I wonder if the owner has OCD. I feel safe and it's not in a sketchy area. I might've gotten lucky by going on a Tuesday evening but it wasn't crowded at all. $1.50 to wash and $0.50 to dry. Very good pricing. I WILL be back to this place from now on. If I could give 10 stars, I would. (Side note...the selection of beverages and snacks blew my mind) the owner takes good care of this place. read more

Great service! Owner works hard to please. I was visiting from NY and stopped in, down to my last dollars, with a flight to catch going back east...and the detergent machine ate my money . In a panic I called the number listed for the manager, he answered right away and immediately refunded me electronically. I feel bad because I had a nasty attitude at first (sorry ) but even with that and poor phone service he worked with me until this was resolved. Great staff and great service! George and their Fluff & Fold service saved the night when I accidentally spilled something on my friends brand new comforter late in the afternoon. George was very nice and professional and personal and did a great job with the wash... even took care to dry it longer on low heat. When I arrived everything was folded and packages very nicely. I am very pleased and couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the money and the drive from DTLA!!!! read more
