I was underwhelmed. Tasted like frozen food. Set up was a bit dated. It was edible but nothing spectacular.

It's very easy to miss this gem of a restaurant. It's a local favorite for breakfast and lunch…read more(7am - 3pm). Good, quality, home cooked food and big portion sizes. The wait staff are super friendly and you can usually find street parking.

The venue is a mom and pop type atmosphere. Had to provide proof of double vaxx on our visit…read more Came here with my wife and her brother. We were in the area and were hungry. It was kinda cold-ish on Nov 06, 2021. So I had my hoodie covering my head, which I was informed, that they don't like hoods on customers. Other than that service was good. I ordered the grilled chicken sammich plate, wife ordered teriyaki chicken and veggies and my bro n law ordered the fish n chips plate (cod) w/1 extra fish. The teriyaki chicken and veggies was so-so, the sauce was really salty and didn't really taste like actual teriyaki sauce. No real complains about the fish n chips. The grilled chicken sandwich wasn't really seasoned, which is okay for me..since I have to watch my sodium intake. The meal was enjoyable for the most part. It's not easy to find places that offer a grilled chicken sammich on whole wheat bread. So likely to come back. The portion sizes weren't that great for what we paid...but economy isn't the same as it was pre-pandemic. The parking availability is street parking only..so kinda limited. Service : 4/5 Food : 3/5 Value for money spent : 3/5 Return visit : likely yes.

Community Café is a small locally owned coffee shop hidden down a small alleyway in downtown Elora…read more It's a bit hidden but there is signage indicating where it is. The café is small with a few seats inside and more seating outdoors where it is primarily take out only. In terms of the menu, they offer a variety of caffeinated beverages, teas, cold drinks, pastries (cakes, cookies, brownies, muffins, scones), as well as breakfast (croissants/bagels) and lunch (hot dogs, sandwiches) items. My friend and I stumbled upon Community Café as we were walking along the main street of Elora. We decided to pop in for a beverage as we were killing time as we had a reservation for lunch elsewhere. Service is friendly and a bit slow, but there is only one staff there (I assumed the owner) who was making the beverages. The cute thing about this café is that you notice a wall full of dog pictures, all taken by the owner. I opted for the cold brew while my friend ordered the London Fog. Our drinks were made a reasonable time. The cold brew I had definitely was strong! Beware if you do have this beverage since the caffeine hits you after a few sips. Overall, cute small coffee shop with great coffee in Elora!
