I asked for it medium rare, and the server promised it would be. And it was! I'm always a little surprised when that actually happens. It arrived quickly and was hot, well seasoned, and cooked just right, with the right amount of chipotle sauce. The fries were nice and crisp without being overly salted. My friend ordered the pork chops: two 7 oz boneless chops that were also very good. Nicely grilled and tender. Service: We were there for a little more than two hours and were well taken care of the entire time. Our server got us settled in right away with water, menus, and our beverage order. Throughout the meal, the server checked that we were enjoying ourselves and kept our beverages topped off. Atmosphere: The place is large, with plenty of seating at the bar, at tables, and in booths. We sat in a booth near the front door, away from the bar. Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised, but I counted at least 12 TVs hanging from the ceiling. I find that very distracting. By my definition, that makes it a sports bar that serves food. It's just not the atmosphere I prefer when enjoying a nice meal. Really enjoyed the meal, but the sports programming on the TVs was a distraction.

There are an abundance of fried chicken places in Milwaukee, but I'm a fan of this place. It's…read moregreat for an easy delivery or take-out meal. Their chicken is pretty good. It's got a lot of crunch to it and it's not very greasy at all, which is pretty surprising for fried chicken. The breading and chicken have good flavor, and they usually give you big pieces. Their potatoes are nothing special, but the gravy is very good. There are little chunks of breading and chicken in it, and it adds a lot of flavor. Their coleslaw is about average. The BBQ ribs are about what you'd expect. One unexpected place where they do shine, though, is their churros. They add just the right amount of cinnamon sugar to them and they make a great treat right after a heavy chicken dinner. Overall, they're a very good and apparently family run local restaurant. It ain't health food, but if you feel like indulging I can recommend them.

The pickle chips were really good and crispy, and the ranch dipping sauce was creamy and full of flavor. The pizza was very thin and I felt it was missing some flavor and could've had more chicken on it but my daughter enjoyed it. Our server was so sweet and attentive, and we really appreciated that. We were surprised that it wasn't very busy for a Saturday afternoon, but that did mean we had the full attention of the waitstaff. I'd be willing to give The Stillery another try in the future and explore some of their other menu options.

The 3.5 star theory is proven true…read more Let me explain. When you're dealing with Asian restaurants-- be it buffet or otherwise, you ALWAYS go for the 3.5 star rated ones. Why? It's because you know the food's going to be good. You don't go there for service. You don't go there for a wine and dine 5-star experience. You go there for all you can eat food. That's the primary goal. If I rated this based on the 3.5 star theory scale, it would be a 5 star. And guess what I'm gonna do next time I go? I'm going to post a 3 star review so mine averages to 3.5 stars. I literally went to this place purely because it was 3.4 star rated when I checked. This was my first experience. Why is 4-star too high? Because it usually means it's fancier, has higher prices, better service... REMEMBER -- if a buffet is 4 or 5 star rated... it's going to have 4 or 5 star pricing!! That's why you go for the 3.5 star. Not 3, that's too low. Chances of food poisoning start getting out of the comfort zone. When I went here, the staff didn't really bother being nice or smiling. They weren't rude, just not really accommodating. You know what I thought about that? One word. "Perfect." Because I knew it meant the food was about to be good as hell, especially for all you can eat. They only had styrofoam cups and plates, as well as plastic silverware. Yet again, I thought "perfect." Because unlike some other reviews, I remind myself I'm literally in a strip mall Asian buffet in Wisconsin. I'm not at a Michelin star restaurant. I am here to stuff myself all you can eat. And you know what? The food was delicious. Even better, this restaurant does not put butter in their rice or noodles. Typically, Asian buffets will put a LOT of butter in the fried rice and/or noodles because it makes you fuller even faster. This restaurant does not do that. They don't cheat their way to having you eat less. The food is what you come here for. Not amazing service. Not presentation. Not to be wined and dined. You come here to stuff yourself. This is why the 3.5 star theory is the way to go ladies and gentlemen. And, of course, with 3.5 star rating, I got 3-star pricing. $30 for my wife and I to eat here. No food poisoning. No out of budget dinner date. If you don't believe the 3.5 star theory, I challenge you to try it. Compare the 3-stars with the 4-stars next time you go out. I promise you the 4-stars are on the pricier end. Sure it's "nicer" in theory but the 3-stars carry too much risk. With 3.5 you get the pricing of a 3 without the risk. Sure the service isn't the 4-star level but again, you're not going here for service! You're going here to have all you can eat and pig out!
