Wait a minute... shouldn't it have poppy seeds, not sesame seeds? As a Chicagoan, we notice these things! That said, it was still a really good hot dog, and I definitely enjoyed it. This place may be small, but don't let the size fool you--it's worth the stop. Yes, prices have gone up (what hasn't these days?), but the specials are still a great value. The employees were friendly, the food came out fresh, and the fries are still my favorite. Crispy, hot, and exactly what I was craving. If you're looking for a solid Chicago-style hot dog and some great fries, give this place a try. You just might find yourself coming back... just like I did!

One of the best old school hot dog stand in Chicago! 100% Fat Johnnie's serves a phenomenal Chicago style red hot with an awesome twist I love. Instead of standard pickle spears, they top their dogs with freshly sliced, crisp cucumbers and a sliced tomato sprinkled with celery salt. The crunch and freshness elevate the snappy Vienna Beef sausage perfectly. The staff at the walk-up window is always friendly and fast. There are a couple of outdoor picnic tables right out front to enjoy your meal hot. Just remember it is a strictly cash only establishment, and the prices are wonderfully low! Free parking and 100% recommend!!

We arrived and it was a little busy but it didn't deter us. We were greeted and asked if we were ready and we said we needed a few minutes. The lady told us to take our time. They don't have much seating maybe a few seats but it was clean and inviting. I ordered the 3 original tenders with Mac & cheese, golden sauce and cluck sauce. No pickle. Cluck loaded fries. The Tenders were big as I was only able to finish 1 1/2 and they were fried perfectly. The Mac & Cheese was amazing and I wish I had a bigger amount. My Favorite sauce was the golden Sauce. I did ask for no pickle but it was still there which was fine. The Loaded Fries I could have done without as it was just chicken and fries. Overall I enjoyed the meal and I have been back since my first visit. Pricing is average. Definitely give them as try.

Place is simple, nothing crazy, a few photos of the food on the walls so you already know what you're getting into. Staff was chill, not over the top but friendly enough where you feel comfortable. I got the mild Nashville burger. Two juicy tenders, pickles, crunchy coleslaw, and that wild Cluck Sauce. First bite was incredible, all my taste buds were activated at once, I was getting sweet, tangy and a little heat from the spice sneaking at every bite. Not heavy, not greasy, just pure balanced flavor. The pickles and coleslaw cut through everything, so every bite feels fresh. It was a beautiful and tasty mess. Honestly, finger licking good. I thought about grabbing another one to go but honestly, it's not the same at home. This is one of those sandwiches you gotta eat fresh, right there!. I'm already planning to come back.

This place became a quiet refuge for me -- a small corner of comfort where everything feels lighter. It's the kind of place that slowly begins to feel like a second home, not only because of the atmosphere, but because the people here welcome you with a warmth that feels genuine, almost like family. And the food makes the experience even more memorable. The chicken breast burger and the french fries are easily some of my favorites -- simple, comforting, and incredibly delicious. A place like this is rare, and that's what makes it special.
