These guys are hard workers, they are there when you schedule them and work hard on site. 4 years ago, I used them to move from one apartment to another across town town. They also moved our business to another location-both without issue. I set up a time for them to move us again, this time into a house. These guys were GREAT! I had to get an antique piano moved quickly as I was going out of town, and was able to set up an appointment with Art and his crew for the next day. Art kept me apprised of where the movers were, when they'd be at the house for the move, etc. And the 3 guys who actually did the move were some of the nicest guys EVER. This was an 1890 piano so if anything happened to it, there'd be no replacing it. They took extreme care with it at every step - methodical, deliberate, very careful. Getting it into my house, an 1890 Victorian, was a bit more complicated, with a long walkway and porch stairs to deal with. I could see either the piano itself or the house or floor getting banged up, but again, they took extreme care all throughout. The price was very reasonable, and the price that Art quoted me was the price in the end. No hidden fees or anything like that. All in all, a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

Had a piano moved from one home in Salem to another and they did a great job, had the right equipment for piano moving and knew just how to maneuver it over the stairs that were involved. They were efficient and it cost less than other bids. read more

What a joke this company is! Says "Piano Moving" in their name yet can't seem to show up with the correct tools to move a Grand Piano, no qualifiying questions etc. asked for cash because their 'credit card machine isn't working' so we paid them $400 cash for the move while we had wood floor installed. weeks later when they were able to come back to move the piano back, told us we only paid $300 initially and because they had to rent stuff for our move it would be more. Long story short $1042 later our piano is moved back...pretty sure they ripped our head off due to us needing it done quickly. totally unprofessional, clueless and just a couple yahoos out moving pianos...we will NEVER use them again and will prolifically spread the word of our experience. based on reviews here...we clearly should have paid more attention, what a crap company! read more

I have used them several times over the years. This year they literally came to my rescue as I had a family piano that needed to be moved into my house and up to the second floor. JJ&C were super professional in wrapping the piano for transport to its new location in my upstairs room. Art and the crew are super easy to work with and very friendly. Drivers a careless on the road. They tried to run my wife off the freeway. Called the phone number and whoever answered hung up on me. I called back and he claimed he talked to the driver and told me if there would have been an accident then no big deal that's what insurance is for. Pretty reckless attitude when it comes to public safety. read more

They were an hour late to help me move my belongings. Then there was a piano in the truck, which was not previously discussed. They took a lunch break while moving my belongings, which was lengthened the time of the move. If you're moving, research your rights for insurance - they only directed me to one option for insurance coverage, which was minimal. You have rights for coverage - and can select more. Not recommended to move with them. I would have preferred to move myself. read more

I received a quote from Art and ended up having them move more than just my piano. Although it was a little expensive, I didn't want to move my spare small block engine, sub-frame and old engine performance tester...they are all super heavy as I had moved them all in the past. Everything was done without any problems. The guys that did the heavy lifting were all super nice & accommodating. One of the guys, I think was showing off a bit & moved the sub-frame all by himself...I was pretty impressed since I know how heavy it is! No damage to anything & done with great care as I worry about moving my old player piano, which is very sentimental to me! On a side note, I wonder what kind of problems another reviewer had William B. I saw that review & chose to hire Art anyway since William didn't give any details on why Art was not to be trusted since he claimed Art wasn't honest. And who doesn't try to get ahead in life?! To make your point on why someone isn't honest or not to be trusted, other's need more info...what happened?? What did he do that wasn't honest?? Since I didn't have that info, I decided to hire them anyway & I'm very happy with them....like I said the guys that did the heavy lifting were so nice & made sure before they left that everything was where it needed to be! Art Perez is the man I spoke to of JJ&C Movers. His english, writing, and spelling is very bad. He doesn't seem to understand English well because I had to tell him three times exactly what I wanted moved. He was told that I had two rooms and 30-50 boxes to move. As he got done loading the furniture, I went to check the storage area to make sure all of my boxes had been packed. I was shocked to see that all of my boxes were still there!! When I asked him about moving the boxes, he told me he didn't get a big enough van. He then asked me if I had friends who could help me move them later. SERIOUSLY????? I was under a heavy time line and too exhausted to argue with him, so we left to deliver the furniture to my other residence. Later, he had the audacity to tell me he could move the boxes ANOTHER DAY for an ADDITIONAL $200 (he already was charging me $755)!!! UNBELIEVABLE. I certainly wasn't going to wait for another day for them to return and complete their responsibility. There were three men, and it took them 5 hours to move only my bedroom and livingroom furniture. They are expensive, and no way worth the price. During the time they were supposedly moving my livingroom furniture, I caught one of the guys actually sitting at my piano playing it!! Um, aren't they supposed to be MOVING my stuff??? I'm paying them $140 an hour for them to sit and play my piano??? Unreal. At the end of the day, I frantically called a friend to help me move my 30-50 boxes. It took us 5 MORE hours, on top of the 5 hours in the morning. Art Perez is a SCAM ARTIST.
