In an effort to isolate , what they thought was an additional shut off valve, they proceeded to cut three holes in my ceiling. After not finding what they thought was there they tried to replace the pieces of the ceiling breaking half of them. Needless to say the job was not completed. One week later another maintenance man comes and fixes the issues and wonders why the other two cut my ceiling. He assured us Bertoli would fix the ceilings immediately. The end result is Bertoli office refused to repair any of THEIR damage unless we gave them another $895.00. This company is a disgrace to the township of Rockaway if they can't stand behind their incompetence. UPDATE - it's great to know that Bertoli immediately reached out to us to explain the miscommunication between us and will immediately take care of all issues. I appreciate the Bertoli response once they realized a mistake and poor communication among us was the real issue. Thanks for stepping up to the plate Bertoli.

Most HVAC contractors (I called 3) would not give a price for the freon over the phone. They ALL wanted to send a technician out, for a fee, and the technician would then tell me the cost. What a racket! At last, I found a nice lady at Air Group in Hanover to tell me the 1st LB would be $400, and then each pound after that would be $200/lb. So, for 4 lbs of freon R-22, Ron Jon ripped me off the $600!

They could not do the work on the originally scheduled date but called us a few days in advance to let us know that the equipment received had a defect. They came, promptly on the next scheduled date after confirming multiple times. The installers who came were terrific. Two were trainees but the rest of them had been with the company for many years and all were very happy employees. They worked efficiently and expertly, leaving a working beautifully. We received a paid invoice the next day along with some further instructions. There was no nickel and dime-ing with anything. We would recommend them highly.

His workers that he claimed graduated from HVAC training school, did not know what they were doing. Charlie was not much better. He advertises himself as a licensed expert HVAC installer, but he did not know how to wire the Bosch system. He claimed it was a new model, and he had not installed it before. After we had no heat in the sub-freezing winter temperatures, he had to call the company for step-by-step instructions. The noise level of this system is unbearable and sounds like a wind tunnel. We have to increase the volume on the TV when the heat kicks on. In October he promised to install a noise reduction system in the attic (at my expense). It is now June and I am still waiting even though I have asked him numerous times when he is coming. He says we live too far away. Well, he shouldn't have taken the job if it was too far to travel to our property. The service has been terrible. At this point he will not even return my texts and calls to schedule the spring maintenance which was included in the price. Needless to say, I do not recommend this company for any HVAC work. Months later I found out he closed the business and moved out of state! How do these people sleep at night?
