    Spicy Chili Wings
    Alex M. ..

A spot that has existed for so long that it's crazy I never reviewed it. I'm a frequent visitor to the classic theatres throughout Hollywood so I come by after a late night film showing for some great grub. This time I opted for wings which I somehow never tried. These were solid but the chili sauce was a little flat. Tasted like the type you'd buy in the grocery store. Which the wings also had a little more crispy. The crispy pork with noodles was a real winner. Noodles soaked up all of his flavor through the sauté. All were so tender and the bits of pork belly were like nuggets of goodness scattered around. Paired nicely with some sambal. Red Curry with Chicken was the standout. So thick and creamy, they must really have a high ratio of coconut milk to water. I wanted it to come in a cup so I could drink it lol. Will slowly go through as much of the menu as I can! I heard they're blowing up on tiktok over Selena Gomez coming here. She has great taste.

Amazing food. Kind service. Cool restaurant design. This place is great. The crab fried rice was delicious. One of the best fried rices I've had in LA. The jungle curry was also great...although quite spicy! Those were the two standouts from the various dishes we ordered. I love how the heat is real. Also, there's a nice kick to their dishes that always has me wanting to take another bite.

JITLADA is a popular Thai restaurant that serve Southern style cuisine. It's located in a small corner plaza in Sunset blvd and Kingsley avenue. They have a voluminous food and drink items on their menu. We came on a hot afternoon to grab some quick lunch. It was by random that we selected this Thai spot. We had Pad Woodsen. It tastes good with modest serving; nothing extraordinary compared to other Thai spots in LA. However, their food prices are pricey. Some of LA's known writers and actors have been into this place. You'll see it hanged in their wall. When we arrived at 2:20 pm getting a service staff was somewhat slow. Food arrived on time tho. Staff were competent and friendly. Atmosphere was a bit loud due to constant chatter by customers. Parking in the plaza is limited. Interior space was spacious. Overall, we had a nice lunch at Jitlada.

We order so many dishes that I honestly can't remember all of their name. Overall, I can see why this Thai restaurant is so popular. The flavor here definitely interesting. For me some dishes were a little too sour and too spicy, but the ingredients I can taste were very fresh and high quality. We ordered the duck curry, which was very unique and not usually see at other Thai restaurants. The crab omelette was also excellent with no pieces of shell at all, which I really enjoyed. Service was fast, even though restaurant was very busy. I would recommend coming early to avoid a long wait. The only headache is parking, it is very difficult to find the parking near by.

Jitlada definitely deserves 5 stars. Their menu is HUGE and they have so many different options to choose from, which I loved. The staff was super nice, helpful, and gave me some recommendations since there were so many dishes on the menu. I went right when they opened for dinner at 5 PM and the service was very quick. Everything I had tasted really good and full of flavor. I would totally recommend coming here whether you've never had Thai food before or if you're just looking for some really good Thai food!

Good tasted great but some of the portions were extremely small. Service could be better as we literally had to get to get someone to take our order. I would come back to try other stuff, their menu is extensive but I don't think it's worth the hype or waiting hours for it

Jitlada, named after the Thai royal palace in Bangkok, is well deserving of the name. The place was booming with customers and incredible aromas. We were greeted right away, seated promptly, and served without delay. This is a place you can come to with friends, family, or on a date! The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but don't let that deter you because the food is outstanding. We ordered the fried rice, crab meat noodles, spring rolls, yellow wings, spicy salmon rolls, and fried banana with coconut ice cream. Everything was delicious, and I'm already planning a return visit. Pro Tips: 1. The restaurant gets very busy, so you may need to briefly wave down your server. This is not because they are ignoring you, but because they are constantly on the move. 2.The parking lot is small, so be prepared for tight spaces. Uber or Lyft may be the easier option.

Best thing was the pad see ew and we also added crispy pork! The crispy pork is actually crispy dry and not crispy juicy. I got the fried honey duck, which was okay, a bit dry, next time I would opt for the stir fried duck. The Thai tea was good. The service was good, the whole place looked nice. Additionally I ordered the lamb and eggplant to go, the lamb was a bit tough and lacked seasonings, but the veggies were good. There was a waitlist when we got there, we waited for 45 minutes. I would go back to eat the pad see ew again and to try the stir fried duck.

This place is an OG. The morning glory salad is very unique, vibrant, and delicious. Mango sticky rice probably the best I've had. The prawns were good, has that peanuty and curry taste to it. Green curry was just mid for me. Everything was good but I've had way better when it comes to Thai food.

Service here is great, they make you feel home, the ambiance is perfect to take the family and enjoy a great meal We order a lot of food but it was so good that i couldn't take many pictures Food was super spicy but enjoyable I would go back here a thousand of times for sure

Jitlada was on my must-try list for a very long time, and my friends and I finally made it happen. It was SO good. The service was also friendly and warm - we felt like family! Honestly, every single thing we tried was amazing. The crispy morning glory salad was INCREDIBLE. Do be cautious because the spicy items are VERY spicy. The parking lot is very small, so you'll probably have to go around the block looking for parking a couple times.

I've been here a few times, but I always think about pictures after I've inhaled my food. I originally saw the restaurant on Triple G. The Thai food here is phenomenal! My fave Thai dish is Thai basil chicken. Theirs is great. The last time I had spicy basil eggplant with chicken. My niece is vegan and likes extra spicy. She ordered spicy veggie rice. This is the first time something was too spicy for her. She loved it!! The parking lot is really small. So you may have trouble with that. Also it gets very crowded in the evenings. So get there early, or get ready to wait. The last time we went, we ran into the infamous Jazz. She's such a sweet lady!

I've heard about Jitlada for many years and finally got to try it on a rainy evening (I thought it would be less busy). The place was PACKED. If it was busy on a stormy night, I can only imagine how packed it is on a regular day. Parking was honestly a nightmare. It took me 20 minutes of circling the local neighborhood to find a parking spot. The actual wait to be seated wasn't bad at around 20 minutes (thankfully my friend had already snagged a table by the time I parked). The menu at Jitlada is really quite extensive. There are numerous types of curry and noodle dishes. I stuck with a classic, the spicy mint noodle (drunken noodle elsewhere). It was definitely in my top 3 drunken noodle dishes but honestly $21 was a lot for the portion size. I usually grab Thai food in OC and it's significantly cheaper with the same level of flavor. I also got a simple pot of tea and finished with their mango sticky rice which was heaven! Nonetheless, spent wayyyy more on Thai food than anywhere else and I wouldn't say it was significantly tastier in comparison.

A Thai restaurant I know used to have freshly fried shrimp chips as an appetizer. Like the fresh, high-end version of what you can buy in bags and markets. They took them off their menu. Where can I get these delicacies? Does Jitlada?

I didn't get to try the dish but when I asked my co worker how it taste she said it was spicy and not sweet at all. I'm not sure that was an authentic pad see ew. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the tumeric chicken, with steamed vegetables and paid extra $7 to substitute for a papaya salad. I asked for #2 spice level but it was not spicy at all. Other co workers said they asked for medium but it was way too spicy. So it looks like their spicy levels are inconsistent. I have written at least 2 glowing reviews of the restaurant in the past and wish this could be one of them, but it's not. Over the last 4-5 days I have tried no less than 2 dozen times to call the restaurant during proper business hours to order food for pick-up as I often do. The phone rang and rang to no avail. I live too far from the restaurant to just pop up and place an order so I rely on calling ahead. I have been a customer of this restaurant for at least the last 9 years and have almost never had the aforementioned experience. Though I do recall not being able to get a call through several times on one or two occasions in the relatively distant past. Today I was finally able to get a call through and began placing my order which includes shrimp. I ALWAYS request the tail (with shells) to be removed from the shrimp as I find it quite difficult to enjoy my meal if I'm constantly having to pick off shells with my hands. It's unsanitary and messy. Removing the tails from 15-20 shrimp prior to adding to an entree or soup should take no more than 60 seconds and that's if one is moving at a glacial pace. However, today I was told that the kitchen was too busy to honor my request. I assured the lady taking my order than I was a loyal customer and make this request will every order I place and it is always honored. She repeated her claim that the kitchen was too busy and refused to do it. I cancelled my order and ended the call. Now I usually order food from the restaurant 4-5 times a month and usually spend about $65 each time not including tip. That is approximately $325 per month of my hard earned money that I give to this restaurant in exchange for great food and service. I am appalled and quite upset that having been a loyal customer for almost a decade and spending as much money there as I do per month that they could at least honor my patronage by simply taking an additional 60 seconds in the kitchen to make my meal more enjoyable. Her refusal to do such a minuscule task has deeply soured my experience with Hoy-Ka not to mention the fact that I could not reach the restaurant for almost a week by phone for no apparent reason. I will not be going back to this restaurant until they rectify this situation.

The Pad Thai was the best I've had outside of Thailand. Smoky, spicy, full of flavor, and had that proper "wok hei" char that makes noodles addictive. The Pad See Ew was equally rich and savory, and deeply satisfying. We also got the turnip omelette (Kai Jeow with preserved radish) and it blew my mind, honestly. It is so simple, but packed with flavor. Somehow one of the best egg dishes I've ever had. I really wish I can love this place but it's really disappointing. What once was known as the best…read moreThai food in LA, is no longer the case. We got the raw shrimp salad, spicy catfish and bbq pork over rice. The raw shrimp "salad" is probably the best thing we've ate, but the chili sauce was over powering and couldn't really taste the freshness of the shrimp. And I feel like there could've been saw garlic to go along with it, but nope, just decorative cabbages that is not edible. As for the bbq pork over rice, the sausage was good and the crispy pork too. But the BBQ pork itself was HORRIBLE I literally spit it out. It tasted like old refrigerated dry meat, barely edible. And then the spicy catfish, the portion was so small, it looked like someone ate half of it. The pieces very tiny and it was so dry it tasted like it was refried. The spicy sauce didn't help much. And I overheard the table next to us waited around 30 mins for their dishes. Overall, I'll not be coming back here. There are much better Thai spots than this. Not to mention the parking is horrible as it was valet only on a Saturday.
