The flavors were fine, but the sushi seemed to be missing authenticity. My expectations for authentic sushi should be lower in Puerto Rico though! That was on me. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. I ordered the bento box and wasn't expecting fried salmon (I've never seen it prepared that way), and my food came out last after everyone else had already finished eating. This place clearly can't handle parties larger than four otherwise you will be cramped in a corner, and you can only split checks into a maximum of three payments, which no one told us upfront. To top it off, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip. I had no problem telling him no and stated that we were unsatisfied with both the service and the meal. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, if I had been dining alone and not with eight other people, I would have walked out. That's how bad the experience was.
