Last time, I waited 2 hours in the waiting room, watched the room fill up, no chairs left, and was never called in. Same "two people ahead of me" the whole time. I have an appointment, I understand things happen. If and when I was seen over the course of this past year, visits were cut short/dismissed, there was a costly misdiagnosis, and a cleaning that left me with a gum issue I had to schedule a follow up on. Bottom line. 1 year, over 6 hours waited, worst possible cleaning experience, and $350 of scans I never needed if they knew how to read their own x-rays.

On this day I merely mentioned the problem I had in post op pain from a procedure she did and Dr. Zembeck, who refuses to provide pain medication or antibiotics, reacted with a 'take or leave it attitude'. When you tell a patient who simply wants to get good dental care that "...maybe we aren't the provider for you.", you are inviting the patient to disappear in a my way or the highway scenario. I chose to disappear. This Dentist on this day attempted to extol her own credentials and knowledge while belittling and berating me for having gone elsewhere to immediately deal with an infection and pain I believe her office caused. She even impugned the knowledge and experience of my own primary care doctor when dealing with my post op issues, with an attitude of superiority and condescension. This Dentist exhibited no empathy, made no attempt to discuss my concerns and fear of post op pain, made no attempt to connect with me, except to say that I "demanded" of them a course of pain management provided by other dental providers, which wasn't true. To sum it all up, I feel this Dentist on this day acted arrogant, self centered, self aggrandizing and emotional, made no attempt to "hear me", and was only interested in putting forward her own belittling, screechy, know it all attitude. As she walked out of the room and I was preparing to leave, this Dentist even invited me to have my dental records sent elsewhere for continued care, as of I didn't know this. Not a professional attitude in my opinion. Not at all.'

Each time I visit, I pay the co-pay amount they tell me at the appointment, but days or even a week later I receive a call saying I owe additional money. For example, I went in yesterday for a cleaning and paid a $209 co-pay. I also paid what they told me I owed from a previous visit so my balance would be cleared. However, today I received another phone call saying I owe an additional $69. When I asked for an explanation, they were unable to clearly explain why this new balance suddenly appeared. In addition to the billing issues, I also felt that during discussions about my treatment plan, my preferences and concerns were not really taken into consideration. It felt more like decisions were being made without fully including me in the process. Because of the repeated billing surprises and lack of clear communication, my experience with this office has been very disappointing.
