My kids liked their meals, especially with the included dessert of homemade gelato. My wife and I had the Smokehouse Smorgasbord which offered a good sampling of all the meats and sides. We liked all the meat options, full of flavor and tender. Portions were plentiful and we both ate our fill. I have to make a special note on the chicken and turkey, most times, those choices make the bottom of my list but their poultry was so juicy and tender! There was also a lot of variety when it came to sauces - sweet, heat, mustard based, vinegar based, it was all represented. Prices were fair and service was "small town" chill and friendly. Two saucy thumbs way up!

It was getting busier by the time we left at noon; they also handled a lot of take-out orders. I'm glad we were there on a rainy Friday in the off-season--I can only imagine how packed this place would be in the summer! Service was great the whole time. A single-sided big menu has most of the food offerings, but there is a separate Spam menu that can be brought out on request. My husband had a beer while I was happy they had cans of local Loon Juice cider available. For our appetizer, we ordered a side item: fried okra. I don't think we've found okra anywhere else in the state! It was perfectly cooked with a cornmeal coating, piping hot and delicious. I had the Smokin' BBQ Platter. I had brisket for my meat option, with coleslaw and cornbread on the side. Perfectly cooked brisket, not dry at all. I'm an avid home baker and something of a cornbread snob, and this was excellent stuff--a perfect little loaf, sweet and perfect with butter melted within it. My husband had the Combination Platter with pulled pork and ribs. Now, he is a rib snob, having BBQed many over the years, and he declared these to be perfect (a rare thing to find in a restaurant). Not a shred of meat remained on the bone. Pulled pork was great, too, and he agreed that the cornbread was something special. He liked having pit potatoes, too, something that isn't common. Three kinds of BBQ sauce sat on our table in full, non-sticky squeezable containers. I tried the bourbon and loved it. My husband also tried the inferno; he can handle a lot of heat and said it wasn't really hot to his perception, but the flavor was good. In all, a fantastic experience here. I'd definitely come here again when passing through.

We had a group of seven adults and a baby, and when I called late in the afternoon, they were able to accommodate us at exactly the time we desired. From the moment I pulled up, I had a good feeling. The exterior has that historic charm, and inside it's beautifully updated while still keeping the character of the building. We were seated in a semi-private room overlooking the dam, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The service was fantastic - attentive without being overbearing - and the food absolutely delivered. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, from the smash burger to salmon and rice, shrimp, steak, and even the French onion soup. Everything was spot on. And I have to mention the dirty martini with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives... incredible. Every single person in our group enjoyed their meal, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Highly recommend - this will definitely be our go-to spot the next time we're in town.

Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Poutine was on point. I would suggest adding the meat. It's a nice touch. Stuffed dates were incredible. I realize it sounds odd, but the flavors are a great combo. The only oddity about this place was parking. Be ready to parallel park on the street. Very odd parking situation.

Being from the Twin Cities, it was great to see familiar brands like Peace Coffee. In addition to fresh local produce, you can purchase flowers, seasonal items such as pumpkins, and other household essentials. We enjoyed the sweet treats that we purchased. Our favorite was the Danish and pumpkin donut.

(She's a patisserie chef--so that's saying something.) The donuts were so fresh you could literally see the glaze still dripping down the sides when she was ordering. Not in a sloppy, rushed way--more like a slow-motion food commercial where the timing is perfect and everything looks a little too good to be real. Except it was real. Very real. The guy at the counter was thoughtful enough to layer wax parchment between each donut because the frosting and glaze were that fresh. That alone should earn him a promotion and a key to the city. Everyone working was friendly, helpful, and seemed like they actually wanted to be there, which, let's be honest, isn't always the case in food service. Now--beyond the baked goods (which would be worth a stop on their own)--SuperFresh is something else entirely. It's a bakery, yeah, but it's also a locally sourced grocery store and a legit garden center. The kind of place you stop at for one thing and end up leaving with dinner ingredients, a hanging basket, a donut or three, and a weird sense that you've stumbled into something special. It's not just "support local" performative--these folks have been doing it since the 1940s. They compost all their food waste with local farmers. They banned single-use plastic bags over a decade ago. Their rain gardens capture five thousand gallons of water per storm to protect local rivers. I mean... they're doing more good in one thunderstorm than some businesses do in a fiscal year. If you're from around here, you probably already know about SuperFresh. If you're not, you should make a point to fix that. This place is the real deal--fresh food, good people, and a long-standing commitment to doing things the right way. In summary: the donuts are insane, the staff actually care, and my wife came back grinning like she just found pastry Mecca. Five stars. (P.S. If you happen to run into me in line and you're not sure what to get, just say the word. I'll probably have already picked out too many and can point you toward something life-changing.) -- That guy named James
