Great little diner. We had a great breakfast here. Donna gave us great service. Will definitely go back.

I checked my reviews and I can't believe I've never given a review for my favorite breakfast joint in the area. If you're looking for a classic diner breakfast, this is your place in the Aurora, Hudson, Streetsboro area. The place is clean, fast, and reasonably priced. If you're looking for a mimosa, or Bloody Mary with your meal, this is not your place. No alcohol served. The location is easy to find right off SR 14 in Streetsboro. I don't eat pancakes or waffles, but I'm told they're very good. Update - still 5 stars. I've eaten at Jim's more times that I'd care to admit. Never once have I been disappointed with the food. Not a high bar to reach because it's diner food you say? Simple and consistent are not easy pairings.

The Number One was delicious

We've driven by here a couple times and finally stopped. Boy have we been missing out. We both ordered The Number One. Hubby had pancakes and I had the waffle. I'm picky about pancakes but tasted his and they were delicious. I'd order them but I love the waffle. It was perfect. The coffee was really good and everything was delicious. I'm so glad we stopped. Prices are very reasonable.

During the Covid pandemic we were looking for a full service non-chain breakfast place and found Jim's. This restaurant did not disappoint at all. I was exactly what we were looking for. This is a classic American diner with the right kind of menu and good atmosphere. Plenty of locals and apparently regulars eating here, always a good sign. Good breakfast, great pancakes.

I live in a food Mecca city for the past 12 years. So when I come home to visit, the food scene…read morehere hurts my soul. Until I found this place. This was the first menu that truly excited me to try. This spot raises the bar for ohio food. The southern/ Cajun flair in the menu made my heart flutter. The Cajun shrimp and crawdad omelet was amazing but the bacon and gouda grits stole the show. I could eat my body weight in that dish. My only complaint for food is, I would have loved a louisiana hot sauce or some vinegar based hot sauce to go with it. Not gonna lie, our server definitely forgot about us, a few times but.... the food made up for it.

I recently had breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe in Streetsboro, and while the experience was…read morenot a disaster, it did feel like an expensive lesson in managing expectations. I was genuinely excited to find a place nearby serving eggs Benedict, since that is apparently now considered a rare regional specialty. The eggs Benedict itself was satisfying, and the decaf coffee was actually very good. It stayed hot, which was impressive because warmth was not exactly the theme of the rest of the experience. The custom mug was a nice touch, the silverware was clean, and my water glass was crystal clear, so points for clearing the very basic hurdles of public dining. That said, the details were where things started to drift. I asked whether I could get butter on the side for my English muffin and was told yes. When the food arrived, the butter had apparently chosen a different path in life. I selected the potatoes as my side, and they were dry and cold, which was a nice reminder that not all breakfast foods dream of being eaten. I also asked for cream with my decaf coffee and was given those little plastic peel-top cups of palm-oil creamer like the kind sitting beside a gas station coffee urn. It would have been helpful to know that beforehand, just so I could adjust my standards in advance. The service was probably the most disappointing part. My server never introduced herself, never said good morning, never welcomed me, and never asked how I was doing. The exchange had all the warmth and personality of renewing a vehicle registration. The first words out of her mouth were asking what I wanted to drink. Then whether I was ready to order. Then whether I was ready for the bill. Then she answered my question about whether I paid there or at the front. Finally, after the check, I did get a "have a good day," which was nice in the same way a closing credit is technically part of the movie. As an added bit of breakfast theater, I was seated near the kitchen entrance, while the table across the aisle featured what I mentally dubbed the Desperate Housewives of Streetsboro, carrying on a lively discussion about construction, a new kitchen, and the hand towels they were all apparently having to use in the meantime. It was less background ambience and more accidental community theater. For $21.87 for eggs Benedict, potatoes, and a decaf coffee, I expected a breakfast experience and not an exercise in emotional self-service. There were good elements here, but the missing butter, cold potatoes, fake creamer, and indifferent service made the whole thing feel more like a nicely plated inconvenience than a place I would be eager to revisit.

The exterior of the building is not much to look at, but inside they have really made it charming. The entrées we chose were the classic eggs, Benedict and the quiche. Parking is very crowded, but you can usually park at nearby businesses. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and given the option of waiting about 20 minutes for indoor seating or sitting outside with heaters. We chose outside. Even though it was raining, the heaters kept it comfortable and it was still a nice experience. The biggest issue was the wait for the food. It took about an hour for our meals to arrive. The staff was very apologetic and explained they were having issues, which we appreciated, but an hour is still a long wait. This was especially noticeable because the restaurant's website mentions that, due to limited space, guests are asked to limit their stay to about 75 minutes. The inside of the restaurant also felt very congested because of the front entrance layout and the constant flow of people coming in. One suggestion would be to add the bakery items directly to the menu so guests can easily order them with their meals instead of having to ask separately. Our server was very nice, and the food itself was good. I ordered the hash with scrambled eggs and a coffee, while my wife had a pot of tea and the Croque Madame. They also had specials available, but we decided to keep it simple. Sorry, no pictures -- we forgot to take them. Overall, the prices were slightly higher than normal for similar places we've visited.
