Cold and snowy day... January 22, 2025…read more.. Southbound on the 91outside of White River Junction, VT... sensed a strong odor of antifreeze... pulled into a gas station... Yep... broken water pump and overheating... Mind you, this GMC 2018 Sierra (fully paid off)... has gotten me completely cross country back in October, 2024... with no issues, not even a scratch... Vehicle is towed to Bob's Service Center at 10 am that day... Not Bob, but Josh... "Let's see, water pump, coolant and belt tensioner assembly need replacing... it'll be ready by two..." Josh was right on schedule... Professional, thorough, and kind... Picked up the vehicle... warranted work for 2 years/24,000 miles... back on the freeway I went... only a few hours delay... but no matter... the vehicle must be reliable... It was... Coldest day in White River Junction... This driver and owner will seek these gentlemen out for future auto repairs... they are simply the best... And kind... They explained everything... I do appreciate the thoughtful and thorough approach... A cold day driving with a vehicle failure... could have been made much more difficult... but it was not... it was a beautiful day... Bob's Service Center in White River Junction, VT... seek them out... Be prepared to be satisfied... and at a fair price... Thank you again...

Don't go anywhere else! After 5yrs of searching I found my shop. The team treats my ratty old Ford…read morediesel like it's a historic gem. Even taught me a few tips no one else knows. This team keeps both my 1990 Fussy ole Ford and my Subaru in the finest of mechanical condition for a price that is affordable. I even put them out on my Senior camping group so if a repair is needed in NH or VT they know to limp it in, drag it in, tow it in; but make sure you get it to Bobs!

Peanuts Auto - Invoice I found behind the glove box. Took a photo because I suspected it would disappear once I showed it to him. Never got that far!

Stopped in to find a car for an elderly friend that needed help choosing a reliable car. We found…read moreseveral cars that were literally held together with duct tape- bumpers held on with tape, another with wood screws. Wish I'd taken pictures! Then we found a fairly reliable 2011 Subaru, and took it for a test drive. My first impression was that the car was solid, but the brakes were a little spongy- unresponsive. We stopped in a parking lot up the road, so I could get out and look under the car (Peanuts lot is dirt and mud). While looking in the glove compartment, we found this paper (see pic) from another mechanic, stating that the car needed brakes. I went back to Peanuts and told him the brakes felt spongy. He replied "The brakes are fine." I said "I'm not asking you to replace them- I think they just need to be bled." "Oh? Do you work on cars?" I told him I did. He said "Well, you can look at the rotors and see they're fine." I said "you can't see the inside pad, and you can't see air bubbles in the lines." He replied "Well, I buy cars and turn them around. I don't have time for this. I don't think we can do business." AND THEN TURNED HIS BACK AND WALKED AWAY!! That's a personal first for me! I got in my car and drove off, but I'll never forget his rudeness, his unwillingness to do even minor work on the car, and his choice to end all conversation once he knew I was knowledgeable. Stay FAR away from this guy.
