June 15, 2022: Requested roof inspection from Jimmy's Roofing because we noticed what appears to be a water bulge in the living room ceiling. We inspected the attic, and didn't see any water leaks. We may need a new roof. Was told roof inspection would be $220/hr (effective from travel time from job to destination) + materials. They may repair roof same day, which I doubt because they probably don't have the right roofing material to match roof. Unfortunately we have to rate Jimmy's Roofing in order to submit. Nothing done, billed astonishingly. They stayed an hour top but billed two hours for practically just looking. No tools were used whatsoever and the conclusion is to keep is as it is. we were basically just talking about how this happened and it's $130/hour for two hours. Additionally, travel was the same rate with 1.5 hours. So in total I was billed with $450+ tax for doing nothing. Thank you. read more

Worked with David out at Jimmys roofing. This guy was brutally honest, and beat competitors while still providing equivalent products. I won't mention names but he was the middle competitor of three quotes and had The best mix of quality and price. He was more than $12,000 under the top price quote for the similar materials and work. I will update once the work is done. read more

They proceeded on our commercial job before our insurance company had okayed their scope of work, started when no one was at the building so we couldn't stop them, and then filed a lien on our property when we said we don't have a contract. Well, what can I say? It was a very frustrating experience, but in the end, Jimmy Stroh, the owner, stepped up to the plate and and made everything better. Jimmy is one of those guys who really takes pride in his company and his reputation. He is definitely a stand-up guy. And the roof itself is fantastic and should probably last 30 years or more! Also, Jim Huntsman (different guy than Jimmy) is a great guy and worthy of my respect. Terrible company. I called for an estimate, never met or signed anything and ultimately had to hire another company to do the minimal repairs. Now I have a bill for work never done by these people and a threat of collections if not paid. I NEVER agreed to anything or even met these people. Be very careful! Contacted Jimmy's Roofing for a gutter clean. It took them a week or so to get back to me but that's understandable this time of year. Once contacted I was able to set up an appointment within a week. The gutter cleaner fellas communicated with me well, showed up when they said they would and did a fine job of cleaning our gutters. I was shocked to read the one negative review on this business. (The not posted reviews match my experience much more) We have been using Jimmy's Roofing for at least five years. We have never been charged drive time or any questionable fees. We have used them in both of our homes for many things including emergency repair on our shop after a wind storm, Spanish tile replacement on our home, fixing several leaks on a 100 year old Victorian and even gutter cleaning. I have had to deal with these nice folks many times and they have always been upfront, honest and fair. I highly recommend. read more

If you need a roof repair GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I looked up Jimmy's roofing online based directly on reviews from Angie's list. I noticed that they had a Spokane location phone number and a Coeur D Alene location phone number. Since i am in CDA i called the CDA location. I received a return call from Jim and explained my problem. He explained that they could have someone out but that it would be a minimum $195 charge to fix the roof. Jim explained that the $195 charge would cover one hour of labor and that 90% of roof repairs usually are completed in that time. My wife wanted the roof fixed so I figured fine, lets just get it done. The problem started when the two repair men showed up and promptly told my wife that since they came from Spokane (WTF??? SPOKANE??? I called the CDA office!!) they had basically used up the entire minimum charge because they each bill at $75/hr and since there were two of them that was $150, oh and by the way we are going to charge you for the time it took us to drive here EACH WAY from Spokane so we are at $300 and they just pulled into the driveway!!! I was not home, my wife was at the house and she called me to ask if I knew they were going to charge us this way? Heck NO!!!. I immediately called Jim and left a message for him to call me back. When Jim called back I explained to him my frustration with the fact that his men had traveled from Spokane and were billing me for almost two hours of travel time. I told him that is not what he and i had discussed. He suggested that we wait and see what the men find before we proceed. They said it would be almost $1,600 to REPAIR the roof (I have since had FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT bids as low as $3600!!!) I told him no way was I going to pay that to fix the roof and that i was not going to pay $300 just so their guys could come and tell me I needed a new roof. Jim called his repair people (who had him on speak phone loud enough that my wife heard the conversation) and told them I was jerk and "to get the F*%$ out of there" and move on to the next job. Two days later I got a bill for $195!!! Thanks Jimmy's Roofing. I will make sure I tell as many people as I can about your "services"! They charged us $900 to tarp just HALF of our garage. They were at our house less than 1 hour! When I called about the insanely high price, and why they sent 3 guys when I was told they were sending 2 ( that extra guy cost me $200) and why I was billed for 2 hours when they were at my house less than 1 hour, they said they charge for the time they have to go to Lowes or Home Depot and get the materials?!! what! $99 an hour per guy to go shopping!?! If I knew that I would have gone myself and bought the supplies. Plus Lowes is 5 mins from my house, they shouldn't have taken an hour to get 2 tarps and 2x4's and screws. Then they left my gate open and my dog got out (they knew we had dogs they asked us to put them away) and I had to go get him from SCRAPS and pay them $70. Received a cold call from Oscar today and I am offering input from the perspective of a potential client. If you are hoping to do generate new business/clients, it is *highly* advisable to respect what you are being told & information you are being given. I politely explained to Oscar after he repeatedly asked to speak with the owners, that as their assistant I was happy to pass along any information he'd like to share but that they are not and would not be available for him to speak to. Instead of providing that information and potentially earning a chance at new business- he repeatedly asked to speak with the owners. As a note, rephrasing a request 4 different ways- does not change the answer you're going to receive. It was extremely off-putting, disrespectful and unprofessional. I understand the nature of sales and cold calling, but to completely disregard what you are being told/asked is going to cost you guys a lot of potential business. read more

After several tries the owner himself made a stellar move and restored my faith in this company. Now I understand control over employees is very difficult, but they represent the owner and their work is a reflection of him. Horrible company. Never fixed my roof and send a massive bill. When I tried to explain it to them they turn the bill over to collections.

Don't use Jimmy's Roofing. They did show up promptly but the work they performed made the leaks worse. I wasn't impressed with the guys that showed up- acted like they could care less about their job. They tried to push me into doing unnecessary work. Then they charged over $ 800 for the short time they were there and now I can't get anyone to call back & discuss the charge. DONT USE JIMMY'S!!! read more

This place has horrible customer service from the time they arrive at your doorstep. They will charge you the full price on materials and keep half and they will always charge for time spent at the hardware store. The work quality is what you might expect from an amateur doing odd jobs and their is no follow up when the job is faulty. And believe me they will get their money. The bill makes it quite clear that the customer has no recourse unless they want to be out hundreds more and deal with collectors. read more

We would personally recommend Jimmy's Roofing to replace your roof. We have a geodesic dome and the roofing was 30 years old. Tim's crew did a great job removing the old cedar shakes and cleaned up daily from their work. Michael and his assistant did an awesome job replacing the roof with an asphalt shingle that looks amazing! We would also like to commend Ethan for his intention in the extra work and invoicing process! Every one of the employees worked hard, they were very polite and did a great job keeping our yard and flower beds around our house cleaned up every day. Great job!! read more

i'm remiss in my timing as this was an incident from 2016. but in my 53 years on this planet, i have never been treated so poorly as by this company. i hire them to fix a leaking roof and $26,898 later the roof still leaked. the leaking roof was never assessed properly and therefore the solution to said issue was invalid. gee..it might have been a good idea to actually enter the building to find the leaks. if i could give them less than one star on this site, i would have. read more

Im a painting contractor in Spokane and I use Jimmy's roofing when a customer of mine needs roof work done. They are very dependable, skilled and will answer the phone when you need them most! I just called to have them fix a leaky roof and they were all over it! Most of the time its like pulling teeth to get work done. If you need your roof repaired or need a new one, Jimmys is the way to go, they are highly reccomended! read more

Patrick told us that if price were a consideration in choosing a roofer then they couldn't not come out and give us an estimate as they pride themselves in setting the bar for one of the highest rates in town. Very rude on the phone, told us that he would only give estimates to people where price was not a consideration. At least he was honest about gouging his prices. After the storm we all just faced, I called Jimmys last week and they just returned my call today. Was told I would have to pay $250 just for them to come give me an estimate, and I would have to sign a contract with them right then, or they wouldnt even bother coming out. First of all, I need the estimate for my insurance broker, second, what if he was the best bidder?? He lost out on my business, and I am sure many others... Stay away from here..
