French Toast.

We live in the Twin Cities and have a wide array of excellent brunch/diner spots to hit. Jimmy's stacks up to any of them. We were blown away. My wife had the French Toast with Scrambled Eggs & Bacon. The French Toast, she said, was the best she's ever had. I tried it and can confirm it was ridiculous. Everything was hot and fresh and promptly prepared. I had the Denver Omelette and Hashbrowns with a Pancake substituted for the Toast. Everything was awesome. The pancake must have had whipped egg whites (like a meringue) added to the batter. It was fluffy and had a bit of a custardy flavor to it. The whipped butter and hot maple syrup were absolute perfection. One of the best classic pancakes I've ever had.

I like this spot, the structure is recently renovated and clean. Food quality and quantity is adequate, fresh to order and made with culinary finesse. The atmosphere is neutral casual, not pajama attire but not quite Sunday best. Our servers have all been wonderful. Knowledgeable and personable, have always had our food served in a haste manner and correct to order. Our favorite server is here most weekends when we Patron. I'll learn her name next time- she's cheerful and casual and knows her stuff. She's on top of the morning rush without a blink and always has time to make us feel comfortable. She's the adorable short haired blond. And she enables my hollandaise addiction ;)

It was a nice restaurant I got a pepper Jack burger they have a free parking lot. They have your traditional American food. The staff was friendly. They close early on Sundays.

French Toast with a side of eggs and a mimosa

We came for breakfast and were immediately greeted with a friendly welcome! The place was cute and unique inside. Quickly seated at our table, the three of us were then greeted by the most warm and genuine waitress! She helped answer some questions about the menu and we made our decisions on our order! The food included: eggs Benedict, chicken fried steak and French toast w a side of eggs! Two of us also had the sake Bloody Mary and one had a mimosa! We were not disappointed- WOW, what good food! Generous portions, it came out piping hot and the taste .... Oh so yummy! Our waitress continued to be friendly and attentive throughout our visit! We will definitely be back!

Jimmy's has been a staple in Walker for many years now and their breakfast rush has never died. My family comes up to have breakfast from time to time and it has been consistent throughout those visits. Jimmy's has gotten a few face lifts over the years but their food and service remains pretty good. Their newer building is beautiful and definitely captures the up north feel and appeal. Can breakfast really be fine dining? Maybe at Jimmy's... Breakfast is definitely the busiest and most in demand, especially when you are up during "cabin season". Service is fast and efficient though so waiting is kept to a minimal. Good picks at Jimmy's are the pancakes, French toast, and say yes to hash browns as your side. Fun side note: they are one of the only places I know that still serves an orange slice and parsley garnish on every plate, ha ha. They also serve real maple syrup in little personal gravy boat-like cups. Prices are a bit high for breakfast food and coffee but when they are this in-demand they can dictate their prices. Not a bad stop for breakfast while in Walker, especially since your choices are limited anyways.

Entrance at 7am when it opens

Like the other reviews suggest, this is a good place for breakfast. Don't plan to get an early start as this place opens right on time at 7am. The one positive to that, if you arrive at 7am your food will arrive within 10 minutes after order. So the cook is ready to go from the start! Seated promptly and the drink order was taken. Service was very good. Food delivered very quickly. Food was hot and prepared to order. I ordered the ham and cheese omelet. I have had better and certainly have had worse. Good appearance and taste. Price vs. quantity is good. Overall a good place for breakfast.

There are not many food options in Walker, but Jimmy's is on the top of the list. We hit it for breakfast and had a great time with some large mimosa's to start. The breakfast selection gives you lots of options to pick from and most of them are very good. I went with the breakfast burrito and it was ok. Nothing to really write home about. If I could do it all over I would go with the vegetable hash, my friend ordered it and it looked like the overall winner. Several other good options include the biscuits and gravy and the farmers breakfast. Overall I would definitely go back.

Outstanding steaks , good service, fun location! Rather limited open times…read more Outside of Walker , Minnesota.

After checking in to our hotel here at the Northern Lights Casino decided to grab a bite to eat…read morebefore the mma fights. I asked the receptionist if she would recommend the restaurant or the buffet? She said "the restaurant has much better food but it is pricey." We decided on the restaurant, it didn't open until 5pm so we waited 5 mins and it open and we're seated. First off the whole multi grain bread they offer as pre meal was nothing short of great and very tasty. As I am cutting for my upcoming fight I ordered the ceaser salad add grilled chicken. (The grilled chicken added an additional 8$ to the price of my originally 6$ salad.) and the girlfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo. My ceaser salad was great. (Can't think of much to say about a review for a salad.) but the dressing was great and grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. The real buzz was the chicken Alfredo, hands down could have been one of the best Alfredo's I have eaten. The sauce was extremely creamy as well as tasty. The chicken was perfect and just the right amount of added mix veggies that you could tell were cooked fresh. The only reason my score is 4 stars is because the prices were a bit steep. I was pre warned as about that, I just feel at a casino where much $ is spent gambling they should make more reasonable pricing. But to rate the food hands down 5 stars.

One of Crosslake's Best-Kept Secrets!…read more If you haven't tried Mad Rabbits in Crosslake, you're missing out on one of those little hidden gems that deserves a lot more attention! The food is fresh, hearty, flavorful, and just plain GOOD. They have some great comfort-food dishes that feel homemade but still have that little something extra. I had the Jambalaya Pasta, and WOW. Absolutely delicious! Full of flavor, hearty enough to fill you up, and definitely something I would order again. Mad Rabbits sits just off the main strip near the Town Square, so it can be easy to drive right past without realizing what you're missing. In my opinion, it's one of Crosslake's best-kept secrets. The restaurant itself is also adorable. You can tell a lot of thought went into the decor, the atmosphere is inviting, and the seating is actually comfortable -- which I appreciate! Service can occasionally be a little slower, but this is a family-run business, and I'll gladly give a little grace to a local family putting out genuinely good, fresh food. I could easily see a restaurant like this thriving in a much bigger city. So if you're in Crosslake and trying to decide where to have dinner, get off the main strip and give Mad Rabbits a try. Grab a comfortable seat, order something hearty, and definitely give that Jambalaya Pasta a shot! Supporting a great local family business AND getting a delicious dinner? That's a win in my book.

What a FABULOUS little place! Outside it's nondescript. Inside it's a gem!…read more Service was sensational. The drinks and food were too. The highlights were the lobster cerviche lettuce wraps and the beef stroganoff (my hubby said it was ok - he's spoiled by mine - but everyone else raved about it!). I had the Blueberry Pecan Chicken Salad and it was one of the best salads I've had. Our visit was part of an annual friend-cabin-weekend thing and we will DEFINITELY go back! ‍
