Jimmy's Crow Nest is a fantastic rooftop bar at Pier House 60 Hotel in Clearwater Beach, Florida. It offers great cocktails, many choices of beer, variety of appetizers and a full menu. It offers a great view of Clearwater Beach with its amazing sunsets. Free shots are passed out to toast the sunset when the bell rings ! We had the hummus which was a bit spicy but very tasty. A big selection of beers were available for only $4 at Happy Hour, 3-6 pm The prices were quite affordable, the servings good sized. Also, as a souvenir of Jimmy's 5 oz. bottles of Jimmy's Crows Nest Habanero Pepper sauce were available for $4.95! Yes, we got several bottles for those friends who had to stay at home and work !! Any bar good enough for Hulk Hogan is good enough for me. As stated in other reviews, this place affords some of the best views in Clearwater Beach...spectacular, as some would say. At sunset, this place gets wild (and they give away free shots, have drink specials, etc.) Want a mellow sunset? Probably not going to find it here. The price was right. We had two local craft beers, three well-made mixed drinks, two Roy Rogers, two Shirley Temples and some nachos with (spicy ass) homemade guacamole and (less spicy ass) homemade pico de gallo salsa. 37 bucks. Not TOO bad for the beach. BTW, the guacamole, although not bad, was nothing overly special. BUT after 3 drinks, it became some of the best guac I've ever eaten! The bartender, Chelsea, is a PRO. It wasn't too busy...after all, most normal people don't go to a rooftop bar during a rainstorm at 1pm. Anyhow, it was empty except for us dumbasses from Ohio, and she had lots of time to talk and fill us in on the local buzz (where to eat, where NOT to eat, which attractions are cool and which are rip offs, etc). MORE IMPORTANTLY, she knew beer and was able to make my wife happy not once, but twice with strong drinks that were "fruity and sweet, but not too sweet." Great place. And even though the Hulkster didn't show up that day, I'll be back. 4 stars after one visit. If the place is consistent, I'll bump 'em up to 5! read more

This place is so nice. Fairly small and during COVID not many people can be up here at once but they separate everyone properly and accommodate for a larger party and it's so nice viewing for the sunset. Wish I came here before my last day but definitely enjoyable. read more

Fantastic views! Thought we'd have to wait a while to be seated on a Friday at 430 but we were in luck! Drinks are beachy and priced the same as competing restaurants. Vibe is casual; nothing fancy. Didn't get to try the food but the menu looked to have variety. Park in the garage on the ground floor and take the elevator up. You get 50% off your bill (up to $20 off) with your parking voucher so you get your parking $ back through food/drink. Only thing I was upset with was the slow service but I'm sure new COVID 19 restrictions have a bit to do with it. I will be back! read more

Beautiful view! Staff were very friendly and easy to chat with during the slow days. We stayed in the hotel and would stop by here at sunset each night. Rum Runner and Strawberry Daiquiris were very good! Definitely recommend coming for sunset! read more

Come here for the view, but that's about it. The menu is extremely limited and not very vegetarian-friendly. It took us a super long time to get the attention of a bartender despite being seated at the bar itself. They were apologetic when they finally got to us, but it would have been nice if they had said, "Hi, we see you, but we are swamped and will be with you in a few minutes." Instead, we were simply ignored for 10 minutes. They don't have much to offer other than their view, so if that is of interest to you, get there during a slow time and pounce on a table. Tons of people are happy to chill out there consuming nothing for long lengths of time, so it can get a little cutthroat. I hear there is a free shot at sunset, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to brave whatever crowds that draws. read more

Bar is located on the Pier 60 hotel roof with a spectacular view of Clearwater beach. Bartenders were excellent, friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced and strong. The Rum punch bucket was sooooo tasty and looked beautiful with cherries and fruit slices. The bucket is only $14 and really all you need. They were projecting a show/movie or something on the building behind the bar but I wasn't sitting facing that direction and really the beach is the best view you could have. We would love to check it out during sunset but the last night we were in the area they closed give rain storms. read more

While staying across the street at the Hyatt Regency, we visited this place a couple times and watched the Stanley Cup playoffs on the huge projected TV. Staff was friendly, and made sure the bar and tables were always clean. The seating is limited, it's not a very big place. The view of Clearwater Beach and the city is outstanding. Excellent value! Sure it's not the Hyatt Regency which is a block away, but do you want a weak drink that costs $14 or do you want a strong drink that costs less than half that?! I'm a local and have been to Jimmy's numerous times after finally hearing about it; it's a relative unknown compared to the 'tourist' bars that surround it, and thankfully the prices reflect that. They give out a free shot at sunset, and the view is awesome from up there. Late 2015 edit after a few years. The commercialization of everything in and around Clearwater Beach is starting to take its toll on Jimmy's, and the locals who are really starting to hate visiting Clearwater Beach since it's just one commercialized tourist trap after another, parked together like sardines. In any case, the prices have been on a slow creep upward and they're not serving drinks quite as strong as they used to be. I guess it was inevitable, but with the view, it's still a great option, and doesn't carry the quite as high price as the beachfront bars or the hotel bars. read more

This is a great spot to get a good view of Clearwater Beach and the intercoastal side as well. We went there before going on a sunset cruise, which was nice because we were able to get a quick bite to eat and a couple of drinks. The food was good, I got the fish dip and my husband got a burger. We sat at the bar, and there was a tv so you can catch any sports going on and the bartenders were hustling. We've been here before too at night and it was great then too. It is windy up there most of the time so be careful with your trash or cups. However, the breeze is nice. As you can imagine, with a name like Crows Nest, this place had an AMAZING view of the gulf. It's a rooftop bar that serves small plates located on the 10th floor of the Pierhouse 60 Hotel. We walked here on a Saturday after watching the sunset at Pier 60 to get a few drinks and had a great time. I can't speak on the food as all we had were our drinks. Great views of the ocean and city lights on the strip at night. It was pretty busy, which we expected, because of the view and a football game that they were PROJECTING on the side of the building! We wished we lived in Clearwater so we could watch games like this every weekend. The service was good. Took a little bit for the server to get to us, because like I said it was busy, but once we ordered our drinks they were there super fast and were able to get our check paid fast as well when we were finished. Will definitely be going back next time we're in Clearwater. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have a drink with a view, as restaurants located directly on the beach are few and far between in this area. read more

Amazing views! Unfortunately when we arrived there were no tables available with views, but we were still able to take some pictures in between tables. The service was good. We were greeted within 5 minutes of sitting and brought menus a few minutes after that. It was a Saturday night and they were pretty busy. They have a 1 page menu, but it has a decent variety from sandwiches to pizza. We got a few appetizers to share. The queso was delicious! It was creamy and rich, and for only $5.95 it was a decent sized portion. It was the only appetizer that we completely finished. Even if you want to have just a drink, this is a nice place to come to. They have a projector showing sports on a wall at night which I thought was a fun touch. read more

This is a really good spot to grab a drink and enjoy the view of the local area. We've come here and number of times and it's usually been after lunch/before dinner. It's usually not that busy and the bar service was always friendly. Certainly take some time to enjoy the view and snap a few pictures while you are at it. You can really get a nice view of the marina which is right below. Also, great views of the beach and Pier 60. It's located in a hotel. You walk in right off the road to the elevator bank and take the elevator directly to the bar. read more

A friend of ours who lived in Clearwater brought us to Jimmy's Crows Nest while we were in town for a visit. He wanted to show us the view, which was cool, even though it was night time. We could clearly see Pier 60 and the activities taking place for the Sugar Sand Festival. It was popping down there! I would recommend coming here during the day, and during a *nice* day. It can get pretty darn windy, so if it's chilly or windy on the ground, it's just going to be that much worse upstairs on the roof. Our server was great. She was helpful and kept an eye on us even with a full group of tables to attend. The food was at best a bad baseball stadium quality. Got chips/queso and a hamburger. Hamburger was a hard briquette on one side. Before we left an employee utilized the toilet and walked out without washing his hands. Later noticed he was the food handler. Here's the deal. You're not going to Jimmy's Crows Nest for food, you're going for delicious beach like adult beverages and a killer view. If you go in with that mindset, you're going to have a great time. I went on a Saturday night around 5:45 pm. We found one of the last tables and the view of Clearwater and the beach was marvelous - definitely time your visit up with the sunset. The place was packed, and the service took a bit, but if you're on vacation and have nothing to do but enjoy friendship and delicious frozen pina coladas then relax and enjoy! We ordered Miami Vices which were everything we wanted after a day on the beach - complimentary with a lovely rim of honey and coconut flakes. For food I ordered the Pesto Chicken Wrap which was undoubtedly made with some Perdue Chicken Strips, random salad mix, and an absence of pesto however I didn't go in thinking I was going to get exquisite food. Thus, skip the food here it is no where near worth the money. If you need an appetizer we did order the fish dip, which was decent! It was served with prepackaged saltine crackers which was... unique. Anyways, great drinks, killer views, recommended spot for sure. read more

We went to this place based on a recommendation. This spot is definitely a fantastic spot if you are looking to see the sun set. If you want a seat by the railing, good luck. People are savage and will stand next to people finishing their meal so they can steal the railing seats. There needs to be a reserved seating system for those seats. The staff was nice and the food was great. When it gets close to dusk the place gets packed and you can barely move around. The free shots at sunset are nice, though. The only gripe would be the savagery that goes on when people want to have a seat next to the railing. There needs to be some control on that because people are rude when they wait next to you to steal your seat. Just a tip, you don't ask a table if they will be done soon so that you can take that table. It's outrageous. read more
