On 10 March 2019 I brought in my 03 GMC Sierra 2500hd to have a Viper remote start installed. I had to buy their security bypass which I know I would have to purchase. The process to install took around an hour or so. Pretty happy with the customer service and the install. (I didn't drive my truck the next week because I was in the field so less than a 100mi driven) After a week, I was driving with my fiancé to a buddies house and my cruise control didn't shut off. I pulled in to my buddies and had a bite to eat. After the night was finished, we got in my truck to leave and my truck didn't out of park. I unplugged the battery to see in there was a computer system problem but no luck. After further investigation and tapping on the brakes to see if the broke lights came on the pedal dropped to the floor. I looked down at the pedal and it had completely came off the brake rod. I assembled the brake pedal together but there was no retaining pin. I looked around for it and no luck. (I was a certified break mechanic back before the army) I had to buy the pin but it was stuck at my buddies house for a few days. I called the shop and asked about their process. They assured me that they didn't take the system apart. I won't play the blame game. Just remember to look over all work done on your vehicle. This could have been a life and death situation with not having brakes. Luckily it wasn't for my fiancé and me. The dash was disassembled to make the process faster and I saw a review how a customer gotten her dash cracked. (I am very tight on time) I didn't work on the remote before going there and remote start was brand new. The vehicle has been inspected every year. by a certified mechanic. I hate Columbus, GA and my experience at Jimmy's Car Stereo exemplifies why. Too many shady people who take advantage of nice or presumed gullible people. I brought my car in today for a simple car radio installation. My glee at no longer having to listen to idiotic radio chatter ended about 3 minutes after leaving Jimmy's parking lot. There was a significant crack in the dash of my car. Really it wasn't even a crack. It was visibly BROKEN. Two additional cracks were pointed out by an employee to support his cause that it was broken to begin with. I don't think he understood why pointing this out did not help his cause, but instead made me that much angrier. Before I went into Jimmy's with much shame I must admit I wiped the dust off my dashboard and this is why I know there was no damage to the dashboard before having this radio installed. Jimmy's offered no help, only blaming me. Mind you I am the sole driver of the car and NO PREVIOUS work had been done anywhere on the dashboard of my car. I have no idea if the stereo is working correctly beyond the face changing colors, the volume can be turned down and one can get reception from 98.3. Through no fault of the radio, it makes me too stabby and removing it from my car would make me happier. I want to rip it out and throw it out the window. If my radio were a child, Child Protective Services would have to intervene. While others have clearly had great experiences, I would simply advise that you photograph your car if you choose to use Jimmy's Car Stereo or you might find yourself spending an extra $215 and change to fix the damage. And no Jimmy's I will not be returning to have the in-steering radio controls connected. How dare you even have the **insert expletive** nerve to ask!! Zero star ratings should be an option. Great experience. Stopped in Saturday to talk about what I wanted. Dropped my car off that day as I work late weekdays. Monday I got the call, window tinting was going to take some extra time, but the guy was staying late if I wanted to pick it up. No issue, picked it up the next day. Upgraded my front speakers with no additional cost due to fitment issues. Windows looked good. Install is seamless, new tweeters look like what should have been in the car all along. Sounds incredible. A co-worker is a former installer himself, and he was very impressed with the components used, and how clean it looked. I just love that I can finally hear the music the way it is supposed to sound (Honda premium sound is hardly premium) The separation is so good I hear tracks I didn't know were in the audio even on my home system. I came to them with arguably a difficult car. a 06 lincoln zephyr, and they tried their best, but when they gave me a quote of damn near 450 usd for window tint when the PTAP which is the best place around quoted me 320 usd I started to get suspicious, then i asked for the price of a remote starter for a car, 540 usd, seems odd, found another place that would do it for 280 usd, just weird, point is , research before you agree to anything from anyone. read more

These guys were super helpful. I tried to install a new head unit myself, but ran into trouble with some cutting to fit the new unit. All the wiring had been completed by me, so Jimmy's did the cutting and plugged in the unit for just $35 and it only took 20 minutes I'd definitely recommend them for all your car audio needs! read more

Took my 38 year old ford pickup truck to Jimmys today to install a new radio and speakers. After inspection they determined that I would need additional modification due to the fact that the truck did not come with factory door speakers. Even with the modifications they did not increase the installation price one cent. Received a new Kenwood radio and speakers installed for just about what the unit would cost alone. I have used Jimmy's before to install auto starts in both my wife's and my cars and was very satisfied. I had a very old Chevy S-10. A year ago I attempted to install a new stereo in it. I made a big mess. Most of the stereo install shops here in Columbus won't install a stereo unless you buy from them. I was embarrassed by my feeble attempt and the mess that I made but Jimmy's was more than happy to install my Wally World stereo and fix the hole in my dash and not charge me an arm and a leg. I would recommended Jimmy's Car Stereo to anyone needing stereo equipment or auto car starters. P.S. The install process went really well, and they fit me in the same day. I also wanted a backup camera installed. They steered me towards the unit they recommended, which was not the most expensive one. Excellent customer service, personable staff. Wow is all I can say, I had a subwoofer and amplifier from my previous car that I wanted to get installed in my new car and I went to jimmy's and they did a phenomenal job. I would say some of the most professional work I've seen on a car. Also they had the work done in about 2 hours and were extremely friendly. On the previous car I had a friend install it and it was terrible work compared jimmy's. I came back two days later to get a remote installed for the subs and they had that done in less than an hour, I mean crazy fast. Super nice people and will definitely be back to get a new head unit installed. The price was very reasonable and the owner is always there so you can talk to the man in charge if you have any complaints or questions. Overall a great experience! read more

I stopped in at 1:15 p.m. to see if they could fix a disconnected cable for my alarm and remote start. However, I didn't realize they closed at 2 p.m. The guy took a quick look and said if he could fix it it would be x amount of money, and if he couldn't then it would be no charge. They had me out in 40 to 45 minutes and the charge was very reasonable. In the end, it was half of what I needed and there is not a return policy. I had to order the rest online. Wanted to buy subs and amp but, don't think I'll darken their doors again.
