Best Greek restaurant in Markham!…read more If you're craving authentic Greek food, I highly recommend Main St Greek. I come here often and plan to continuing dining here for yummy Greek food. Food: Classic Greek Salad (5/5) - fresh, tasty salad that's great to share. I love Greek salad in general and this hits the spot Saganaki (5/5) - flaming cheese! I don't love cheese too much but saganaki I'll eat for sure. Savoury cheese topped with a squeeze of lemon and pairs well with the complimentary garlic bread. Calamari (5/5) - Nice, large slices of fried calamari with a side of tzatziki. I can eat this for days! Pork souvlaki stick (5/5) - Well-seasoned pieces of pork on a stick and grilled to perfection! Comes with a side of tzatziki and tastes great! Service: - our server was very friendly and the staff too - food came out relatively quick - free underground parking btw *they also sell a small tub of their Greek salad dressing to take home

Greek fries were great, every bite was covered with an excellent feta cheese. Thick cut fries didnt feel greasy! Generous lamb portion but sadly was too dry. Decent prices for their souvlaki wraps and gyros. Would visit again.

The man taking my order was very friendly and patient. The chicken itself was so juicy since it doesn't sit in a hotpan under a lamp! Rice and potatoes were seasoned well too. The food was packaged well and cutlery, tzatziki, and olive oil came in a separate little package so that it wouldn't drop to the bottom of the bag. Appreciated that the man brought the bag around so that I didn't have to reach over the counter. Also appreciated the hand-off as there was care in him holding the tied top and also the base of the bag. Quite a few menu options, so I'll have to go back to try other items.

Food: Chicken souvlaki - comes with several pieces of chicken souvlaki, rice and salad and potatoes. The chicken is quick flavorful and not dry. The rice is cooked perfectly and the salad is fresh and crisp. The potatoes were amazingly soft. The tzatziki is a perfect accompaniment to the dish. 4/5. Greek lasagna - this is a fairly unique dish. I love the creamy potato and beschmel sauce on the top which provides a smooth and creaminess. The ground beef on the bottom is flavorful and moist. There's a bottom thin potato layer on the bottom to hold it all together. The accompanying salad is refreshing too. 5/5. Price - it is around 15$ a dish which is fairly pricy but for what you get it's pretty good.

The ordering process was not user friendly. Advertised deals were not charged as promoted until after the order was actually placed. The categories of food were itemized all over the place, so you weren't sure you were getting what you wanted as if it were a small combo, a larger dinner, or a la carte. The food itself was worth nowhere near the prices charged. For $20.89 before tip and taxes, I got a regular 355 mL can of domestic pop, a lunch sized pita that was completely burnt, and a side of frozen fries. Everyone's chicken was dry as a bone, and even the rice was as dessicated as cardboard. The only decent items were the Greek salad, and the pork which was able to withstand its level of char because it's not chicken. They didn't deliver one of the said cans of pop, which was charged and paid for at $3 for a la carte because it wasn't ordered as part of a preset combo. Add to the order the suggested 20% tip pushing $50, and the total customer experience result is that we'll never order from there again, or bother trying them as walk ins Never again.

It was a really nice spot for a special night... cozy, welcoming, and not overly loud. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the saganaki was definitely the standout. The wait staff brought it out and poured a shot of liquor over the cheese before lighting it on fire at the table, which added a fun touch without feeling gimmicky. Beyond the presentation, the cheese itself was excellent... crisp on the outside, warm and soft inside, and really well seasoned. Easily something I'd come back for. The mango ginger spritz was light and refreshing, not too sweet, the Australian lamb chops were cooked nicely, tender, and full of flavor without being overly heavy. We ended the perfect night with baklava and vanilla ice cream. It was flaky, just sweet enough to be shared between us. Portions weren't huge, but we left feeling content. We did have to make a reservation well in advance, which I'd definitely recommend. Prices feel appropriate for a special occasion rather than an everyday dinner. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, a great experience and a place I'd happily come back to.

First - the latte was super delicious. We both got latte with oat milk - they were extremely smooth, creamy but the beans were also dark but not overly bitter. It was perfectly rounded, and buttery. I can't wait to go back & try more variation of espresso drinks. Pastry wise, it was insane. The loukoumades delivered - it was super fresh with fragrant honey, and rich cinnamon powder on top. It was perfect with the coffee. The absolute peak, highlight of our meal was the Trigona. Holy s, that gotta be one of the best pastries I've had. The cream was smooth, silky, the pistachio was sweet and floral, and the phyllo? That was divine intervention. That last bite of the Trigona sent me straight to heaven. I'll be back often whenever I'm up north.

I've always known this Greek restaurant was in the plaza but never dined in until now - wow I have been missing out! Everything we ordered was so delicious: Kalamarakia Fried 5/5 - Seasoned and lightly fried calamari served with Tzatziki sauce. It wasn't too crispy but had the perfect chew/ bite to it. Great for sharing. Cold Pekelia 5/5 - This was served with 4 different dips and 2 light bites including Tzatziki, taramosalata, octopus, melitzanosalata, olives and hummus. Absolutely delicious and a range of different flavours to try. Served with pita on the side. Chicken Souvlaki Dinner 5/5 - Tender chunks of chicken breast, marinated and broiled to perfection. All their dinners come with a Greek salad and garlic bread. Portions are plenty per person. Chicken was tender, juicy and bursting with flavours. Gyro Dinner 5/5 - Blend of lamb and beef, lightly spiced and broiled. Served with rice, roast potatoes, veggies and Tzatziki. So delicious I wanted to lick the plate clean. Additionally, they're very prompt with refilling water for you if your table orders glasses of water as well, indicating that they're extremely diligent. [Taramosalata] $7.00 - red fish roe blended with garlic, lemon juice, and extra virgin olive oil! Comes with grilled pita ~ This is extremely savory but in the best ways. I love getting this as a spread for a sandwich when I have leftovers. Do take note though, that this is a dish that has an extremely fishy flavor so be warned! I highly recommend you get it to share with others in the event that it's not your cup of tea, but for me, I'll happily devour this any day of the week. [Chicken Souvlaki on a Bun] $8.50 - chicken souvlaki pieces on a bun! Comes with tomatoes, and red onions so if you don't like either of those, ensure you ask them to omit it. I love how flavorful the souvlaki is but sometimes, if I have leftover taramosalata, I will slather some of it onto the bun for an extra punch of flavor! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU LIKE GREEK FOOD :D
