Long time buyer, first time reviewer. Honestly I don't even know how to start. To all the staff at this Jimmy Johns location ..... you guys rock. I order the same pretentious sandwich every time. We only know if I want chips, a drink or a cookie near the end of the call after I've said "yeah that'll be all". Sometimes I order it clearly and other times the person on the other end of the line has to pay very close attention to the words being said between giggles and conversations with my friends. Yes, I'm THAT annoying customer and while you may care .... Jimmy Johns on West Cross St never does. Don't be a square, order from a Jimmy Johns that cares. With love, #5 no tom, add xtra lettuce, & mayo read more

I come here at least once a week and I've always had such positive experiences with the staff. They're a great group of people and always up for some good small talk. The food is always great as well! read more

Amazing people amazing food amazing service Always so fun to talk to and brighten up your night.. the brownies are bomb, cheap and DELICIOUS. The bread is so fresh and soft makes the sandwich so much better read more

Worst Jimmy I've ever been to. Rude, unhelpful cashier (female w orange in eyelashes). The blonde female making the sandwich was helpful but I think her portion control is lacking. Sandwich had barely any lettuce, sure I could ask for more but I don't want to deal w that - just make it right the first time. The security guy was attentive and good at his job. read more

Usually pretty good service, nice staff, food is usually made according to how its supposed to and such. Only issue I've ever had was some lettuce that felt a little off in age :) read more

literally horrible. on three separate occasions (the only three i've been here) they have left the bacon off my sandwich. the sandwich is so god awfully messed up every time. slapped together without a single care. you're better off driving the extra 20 minutes to another location. they need to close read more

Ordered for delivery over 2 hours ago and still nothing. Called and they said it was out for delivery but we are still waiting and it's been 30 min since I have called. We are only 1 mile away. Super frustrating and the opposite of "freaky fast". This always seems to be the case at this Jimmy John's location. They could at least give a heads up how long the orders will take so that I know NOT to order. ***edit**** called the store again and they said the driver was sent out with FIFTEEN orders!! How is that okay!?! read more

I received a voicemail from Jake yesterday for an interview today at 1:00. I called back and left a message asking for the address. Jake texted me the address as 537 Broadway. I showed up to Broadway St and found there is no such address. I looked up on the internet and saw there is a store at 537 Cross St. This store was closed about 2 years ago but has reopened. I called the customer service number and talked to Carly and was a mess. Carlytold me she couldn't do anything for me. Her supervisor, Christina was worse. She saw no problem with Jake giving me the wrong address. Even though it was 10 miles from the store and she couldn't explain how anyone could misspell Cross as Broadway. I told her I had filled out an online complaint form. When she looked it up she asked for my name. When she opened the complaint she told me that I pronounced my name incorrectly. Is she that stupid??!! According to the customer service representatives when you call them your complaint doesn't go anywhere beyond them. I was told by the supervisor that I will never talk to anyone higher up than her. This store needs to be shut down. read more

I like their product but the Cross Street Jimmy John's isn't currently freaky fast. I love their salt & vinegar chips way too much.

3/20/2023 3:30pm Maybe if the guy "working" the cash register (he was sitting on the counter with his back towards the door) spent less time on his phone and more time learning his own workplace's menu, he wouldn't have been so confused when I asked for "no balsamic glaze" on my sandwich. No sir, I didn't say "salami", I said "balsamic" read more

Terrible customer service cancelled my order and asked how to file a formal complaint the guy asked what my complaint was the started taking crazy to me like I'm the one that isn't providing proper customer service. Cancelled my order never received confirmation of the order being cancelled or my refund read more

I have ordered a few times. They are pretty good. The order from today was 40 dollars because I was taking them home to the family. It was over an hour wait for 3 subs. They were not prepared correctly and were terrible. read more

One of my go to ordering food places while at work as not many places are open on midnight shift. My food has always been fresh and fast no matter what I order. My favorite is the Beach club sandwich with a side of pickles, the famous Jimmy chips and a drink. It is filling and delicious without that overstuffed feeling that sometimes happens at work. Its always freaky fast as the commercisl says read more

The vegetables are too wet the double meat is overstuffed but it's cheap so if you like cheap food go ahead and eat here it's kinda disgusting because the shut this place down When someone found mold in here I'm sure they cleaned up but won't be surprised if they fall out of shape again 1/10 they also aren't very willing to satisfy customer request. The roast beef taste gross . Put something else here overall it's one of the earliest open but still who wants the convenience of early food if it taste like crap read more

This Jimmy John's is indeed super speedy. Really accurate too. Friendly delivery people always, and I would definitely know. Often I would get stuck in my office, unable to leave to take the short trek to Beezy's and this is where I would turn. Delivery is cheap! Way cheaper than any delivery place around. The budget friendly nature of it and the fact that they will let you get just a single sandwich (rather than have minimums) made it a top choice for me. I always found whatever I picked to be fresh, but thats really just what Jimmy John's is supposed to be. What takes this place over the top is the online ordering, the packets of mayo and mustard they handily remember, the napkins, everything. The little touches that matter when you are stuck ordering in. When you order online you can even pre order to an exact time. This mattered to me as I often had to squeeze lunch in between meetings. They always showed up when they said they would. If the elevator was out (which unfortunately it happened- a lot) they would just jog it up with nary a complaint. They were always super appreciative of tips, which if I knew they had to run up two flights of stairs would be huge. They are rock stars at delivery. They never failed to make me happy, sandwich after sandwich. Recently I swung in to get a pickup and I was happy to see them making it fresh for me. Clean and passed the eyeball muster of inspection. Still just as tasty as ever. Nothing that will blow your mind but uber reliable. I think I must have had 50 sandwiches from here in the last nearly three years and never a clunker. I also have tried almost everything on their menu. That should tell you something. read more

I ordered at 3:39 pm. Food arrived at 6:04 pm. Da faq?! I called the location at 4:30 and was told mine was the next to gonout for delivery. But they didn't ask for any of my information. Lame. read more

My go to place when there is no other or is low on money. Pretty good consistent place (club lulu is probably their best sub in my opinion). Prefer to order online(custom make your order). Now to me, when you compare it to other sub places, it goes down to over age sub shop P.S. the chocolate chip cookie here is on point, and the chips are pretty good too (sea salt number one) read more

Terrible. Ordered food at 8:50pm, it didn't arrive until after 10:30. This is not acceptable especially when they say freaky fast.

We have been traveling parents and family for baseball for the past 17 years, have ordered Jimmy John's, DeBellis, Jersey Mike's and many others. I have yet to head to check a sub when I left but I sure wish I would've this day. The turkey Tom and the Italian night club truly had two pieces of meat and almost no vegetables on them, it was practically all bread. I would stay away from this location and take the time to go elsewhere. Also if you write a review based on them asking for feedback you will get nothing but Jimmy John's management trying to justify their poor quantity and quality. A very poor customer service practice. read more

Ordered multiple times and never under 40 min. So ridiculous and def not freaky fast. Im furious right now and can never get this resolved. I literally could have walked there and back in the hour it took them to get it to me read more

Ordered delivery that has taken 2 hours to still not show up. When I called multiple times I got no answer as to what's going on with my order. Then I finally heard from a manager who said my order is taking so long Bc it went out with 6 orders... like that explains why it's taken over 2 hours... I'm sure when it shows up the beverages will be all watered down and the food will be gross. We live litterally less than a mile away. Will never order jimmy johns again. Will update when food finally arrives. read more

Couldn't ask for a better location and the team that works there are AMAZING! There's about a handful of us that goes in there weekly and we always have a great experience. That place is so well staffed that they have about 8-10 people working behind the counters, and by the time you put your money away, your sandwiches are ready. They must have at least 3-5 delivery drivers/bicyclist because you see them on and around campus throughout the day. Parking however can be an issue since space is due to the other businesses near by. read more

It's a great Jimmy Johns. If there's one thing you must know about me it's that I am a JJ lover. This location keeps me hard!!! (As I often hit this place post workout for a protein boost - protein being a building block of muscle and all) The location is right off of Cross Street making it a perfect destination if you are a hungry person needing a quick bite before or after a class at McKenny or Mark J or Ford Hall. Sometimes the people in this area can be kind of sketchy, but never let that deter you, cops eat here all the time :D They know a thing or 2 about where to get the best quick eats! Staff is great. Once ordered a sandwich, paid at the counter, went to check a Snapchat story, and right before 10 seconds of watching a drunk Thot sing some rap, my sandwich was already wrapped and ready to go (Thank God) lol They keep a clean facility here and there's always a cozy corner in the back to dine alone. That's where I'm at.....but that's a good thing! I may be shy, but I love how I'm always at home here at this location :D read more

I must be a glutton for punishment, tried again to get delivery, over an hour wait. They can't get a hold of their driver. Offer to void order. But no idea if when I would get my lunch. I can't wait 2 hours while at work to get my lunch! Why do I even try to give them a chance again. It is a running joke at my office when I order. They joke I may get it by tomorrow. read more

I love Jimmy Johns. I've never had a bad experience at one. This one, though, is head and shoulders above every other one I've been to. Maybe it's because it's walking distance to both campus and my (new) apartment. Maybe it's because they have a bike delivery guy and they're always super quick, both for delivery and in-store, and the delivery guys (and counter people) are always friendly. Maybe it's because I can place an order with an app on my phone. Maybe it's because they never charge me for a few extra mayo packets to put on my Slim sandwiches. I don't know WHAT it is, but thank you, Cross Street Jimmy Johns! read more

I order from here maybe twice a week for the general taste, quality of food, and quick delivery. But their ability to make a sandwich as ordered is apparently not high on their "give a crap" meter. At least 50% of the time the sandwich order is wrong. Most of the time I just deal with it. A couple times I've made them bring me a corrected sandwich only to be given attitude by a driver who, by all rights, is pissed because it wasn't their fault and they're losing tips. I've called the "manager" once but since they have supervisors and managers and there are many, I don't think any other f them care too much. AND, there is no way to contact corporate to make a complaint. But why should they care if I keep buying I guess? read more

I ordered a party box for my sons birthday a day in advance to make sure it was delivered on time. I called when it was late and was told it was on its way. I called again a half hour later and the guy said they didn't have any delivery drivers that day. First person lied and no one called for me to just come and pick it up. Had many hungry party goers eat late- horrible! read more

Multiple times I've pre ordered for delivery at St Joe AA & they've accepted my order without delivering. :(

Myself and my Dearest have been surviving off of this Jimmy Johns for almost 3 years. It's wonderful since it's a close walk from the areas that we live (as we apartment hop yearly) and when I'd walk down to meet my Dearest to walk home from his classes, we'd often stop here to get a sammich for dinner. And they delivered. The apartments we live in are weird. They have tiny, obscure doors randomly planted in the midst of large buildings and lack any form of doorbells. Generally I wait in the stairwell for deliveries and try and race outside to wave down the driver as they crawl by looking for where in the heck our apartment is located. Very patient and kind delivery folks. Their greetings are consistent and friendly when I go inside as well as the service. They are freaky fast. I also order them while I'm at work and they deliver quickly and efficiently (yay online ordering forms). The only issue I've ever had was getting regular chips instead of my jalapeño chips (but that was an online order so oh well). Otherwise, excellent!! read more

I ordered delivery and expected that it would be a half hour wait. Once it hit an hour, I called to see when my delivery would be arriving. Their manager said that they tried to delivery it but I didn't answer. I was standing outside waiting from the time I ordered til the time I called so he never once came originally. They eventually brought me my sandwich which was sitting there for an hour and a half. They didn't make me a fresh sandwich so the inside was completely soggy. I called and asked for a new sandwich and then the manager proceeded to yell at me stating that it was my fault. When they brought me the fresh sub after waiting for a total of two and a half hours for this sandwich, he tried to make me pay for it again. Will never order jimmy johns from there again. read more

The driver dropped off the delivery on a bike and it was snowing so that was pretty impressive. The same guy took the order. Speedy as usual! However, our order was completely off. Everyone's sand which but mine was not correct. Trying to tell a picky nine year old that she now had to eat a tuna and bacon sub did not go over well. read more

Ordered lunch today. When it was delivered there was literally NOTHING on it! Just bread!! Called 537 W. Cross Street Jimmy Johns back and the gentleman that I spoke to pretty much didn't believe me. He said that a new Slim 1 would be sent out ASAP along with a cookie for the inconvenience! Sat in parking lot at my job for 25 minutes. NOTHING!!! Called store back 734-484-2700 and found that the driver hadn't even left yet. Again the gentlemen that I spoke with said that he was in disbelieve. I have a pic of it on my phone!! Lunch time is OVER!!!! Called again and just said that I would like a REFUND!! Suppose to get a refund. Then a driver shows up with my sandwich and NO COOKIE!! I was willing to accept that bullshit for their mistake!! I gave the driver back the BREAD with NOTHING on it and said give it to your boss since he sounded like he did not believe me. I will NEVER order from there again!! read more

Why write a review of a Jimmy Johns? They pretty much taste the same everywhere and you know exactly what you're getting, right? Well, these guys deserve a special nod. This location is absolutely fantastic. I work on EMU campus (just up cross street from the store) and order from here on average 2 times a week. The food is always great and the service is disturbingly fast. They've got a pair of bike-delivery dynamos, both of whom are really nice folks, and I've gotten my delivery, no joke, within 5 minutes of placing a phone order before. They are polite, courteous, and have never flubbed my order or taken more than 20 minutes to deliver my food. For delivery in the EMU Campus area, you really can't beat them. Love or hate JJ, you gotta love that work ethic. These guys are great. read more

Regularly have waits exceeding 45 minutes!!! I live less than a mile away. Not freaky fast!! No manager cares.

Honestly freaky fast at this place. I usually get my delivery under 10 minutes from when I order. They've forgotten my straw before and once I had lettuce on the sub when I asked for no lettuce, but 9/10 my order is perfect. Super convenient this location is open till 3 am! read more

used to be a fan of this place but then got over charged and when i realized it called them within 5 mins of leaving and they said they couldnt refund me unless it was on Credit card but I paid cash, makes no sense, horrible customer service, never going back again read more

They forgot our chips, I asked for extra guac, I found a quarter size amount in the cheese, I asked for extra onions and I found 3 small onions slices in the entire sandwich. I also asked for Dijon mustard and I had one side in mustard, none on the other. Super super disappointed and will not be going back to this location. It doesn't take much to make a sandwich. read more
