There is limited parking and we were able to secure the last open spot. When we walked in we were greeted by one of the butchers, while he was carving beef. The deli showcases a large variety of meats. There are also several freezers with packaged meats. We bought a few varieties. They have a diverse menu of sandwiches. Sandwiches were priced a bit high, but it they were high quality. I had their signature sandwich -the Franklin. It was recognized by Chicago Magazine as one of the city's best dishes. It was roasted turkey , sofrito aioli, cheddar, avocado, arugula, and pickled red onions on sourdough. It was a blend of flavors. My husband had the reuben . It was in house-prepared Brisket Corned Beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and a tangy Russian dressing. We had a side pasta salad and potato salad . They do have a walk-in cooler with what had lots and lots of apples when we went- but some of the produce didn't look to be in great shape. The ones we did pick were pretty good and lasted awhile in our pantry. I did get some of the bread to try and it was relatively tasty - but to be honest, I would go to one of the other bakeries in town before I went back to SunBerry. This may be a better place if you know exactly what you need and not so much to browse and try something different.

The prices are not cheap but the quality is well worth it! They have one of the best beef sticks I have had. The spicy flavor is so good. The lady working was so friendly. I usually love going to woodman's and support local and have been for years. Another incident was I had bought dog food from this location and usually don't have an issue, but this time there was. The Freshpet Home Cooked Chicken recipe made my dogs incredibly sick. Vomiting and diarrhea for days. When I went to return the item and explain what happened, they down right refused my return. I understand that stores can set their own policies and whatnot, but this was an item that had gotten family members incredibly sick. Disappointing and very frustrating of Woodman's. Last time that I will ever be shopping here again. Taking my business elsewhere where returns that make people sick can be taken care of.
