Me and my girlfriend pulled up at 9:20 pm. All we wanted to order was 2 mini mcflurries and a large fry with extra salt (she has pots so she needs the salt). we order inside and all is well. we sit down and chat for a bit, ten minutes later still no food. we start to notice people who came in after us were getting full meals before us. we walk over to see whats up, but don't say anything. we sit back down and another ten minutes later we go up to the counter. the guy who took our order doesn't make eye contact with us and moves to the register and presses a few buttons. we then see our meal go up on the prep screen. this means our food wasn't even being made. A kind lady (we assume to be the manager) upgrades our mcflurries to regular sizes and we receive our food with an apology. My girlfriend opened her fries on the way home and there was not an atom of salt on them. Overall bad service and very disappointed, but thankful for the free upgrade so 2 stars. read more

Guess what, I still had back talk and running of the mouth instead of correcting my order and apologizing. An alright McDonalds to grab a drink or quick snack at. What makes it a little different is that the interior has some unique accents and the seating is a bit different from what you'll find at other McDonalds. It's overall kept fairly clean though the food preparation time takes a bit longer than other locations I've been to (probably because of how busy they are). For a similar reason, I'm not a huge fan of the traffic flow around the building as it's a bit tighter than I've seen around other McDonalds, but is probably unavoidable because of the busy intersection that this restaurant is located at. read more

My husband and I came to this McDonald's to use the McDonald's rewards points that he had accumulated. He got a mocha frappe for 6,000 points. We also ordered a shamrock oreo mcflurry and a chocolate shake. The upgraded shamrock shake was amazing. We were even able to enjoy it on a couch while catching up with a friend. Can't say that about too many McDonald's. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend this McDonald's! read more

I just want to point out that the only good thing was the food but the last 2 times I ordered there was mint in my vanilla milkshake for some reason? anyways service was terrible and they are incredibly slow. Wauconda Illinois McDonald's worst customer service ever. That Spanish lady she said she was the manager no customer service skills always mad never wants to help you with anything. I placed an order on the McDonald's app when I got there the app wouldn't work so I couldn't check in and put the parking space # so I went inside to try to pick my order up. She wouldn't give it to me even though they charged my credit card. So I paid and didn't even get my food. I tried explaining to her that the app wasn't working properly she didn't want to hear it did not want to help me out she said it wasn't her problem that she didn't order on the McDonald's app that it was my fault she kept saying cancel the order but in the app I didn't get that option. I am a Wauconda resident and have lived here for 5 years. This McDonald's has great prime location right off rt 12. Over the last 2 years this place has gone downhill. The Service frequently the Food often. This review is long over due. My wife dislikes ketchup and always orders a cheeseburger with only mayonnaise and would say 8 of 10 times, your order would come with ketchup and no mayonnaise OR ketchup and mayonnaise. 5 of 10 times an item was missing from your order. Today we went through drive through and was told pull up to spot waiting for fries. Food comes out only we are missing a Sundae, a fish filet, and the cheeseburger had the white special order receipt on the wrapper so I didn't even look, them again should I have to? Get home and cheeseburger with ketchup, no mayonnaise at all despite the ticket. When I went in to get the missing items, I got oh it's here, here. That's all. Fries are cold and stale despite waiting for fries. This place needs undercover boss because the service here is just dreadful. Will anything be done? This McDonalds always never fails, would be my favorite McDonalds. All the employees in the morning and afternoons are really nice. Great service so kind. Have no problems with them hope management treats them well. But one employee at night is a total a hole. I get it's a hard shift but she takes all her anger out on you just by her attitude, I once wanted help and asked if I could pull up to the window and she yelled no at me. I was in drive thru line giving my order information for a Door Dash order i had. Since they couldn't hear me at the speaker, i had read the order number slowly and clearly and in return the rude and obnoxious overnight manager was yelling at me saying she is reporting me to DoorDash. I had done nothing wrong but to do my job as they are doing theirs. If you're unhappy with your job inwould suggest getting another one. Also I would suggest finding one soon because once i get a hold of corporate office this manager won't have her $15/ an hour job anymore. Might i suggest working from home and if you want to yell at something then yell at the problem in the mirror and maybe gain access to anger management classes. read more

Simply a miserable value here. The prices climb at an astronomical rate and the food is below average.

This McDonalds sucks. And I don't mean the food. The service is probably the slowest in the McDonalds system. A wait in the drive through is often 10 or more minutes, regardless of the time of day. Customers often have to repeat orders when placing them at the speaker. The orders are often incorrect, customers have a 50% chance of having a correct order. This isn't a technology issue as going in and ordering from the counter doesn't have much more success. The employees are highly incompetent here and not very efficient. I have seen my shake sit and melt at the counter while they waited for the rest of the meal to be prepared. They are not good at having cars move to the waiting spots to keep the line moving. Avoid this location. I recommend locations in Lake Zurich or Mundelein which also have play places. read more

After 3 visits, none of the three orders came our correctly...ie: I order a Quarter Ponder w/Cheese and get a Big Mac in a quarter Pounder Box. Service is also very slow..terrible.....had to wait 5 minutes for a sausage w/egss McMuffin and coffee in the "wait zone" past the drive up window, The only reaosn I go hewre is the food is very good only if you get the correct food you ordered. I wanna give this place a 0 but I can't. There was this girl working tonight named Don. I don't know if she was a manager or not but she had long blonde hair and glasses. She was extremely rude. She was acting like she was so busy and there was only 1 car in the drive through besides us. She was basically yelling at me when I asked her a question. Even when I was ordering she was being unpleasant. I really hope she isn't a part of management because if you're gonna have people in charge like that I can't imagine how your other workers are. Even if she isn't working in the food industry you can't choose days you wanna be nice to customers that's how you lose them. You also should have customer service skills which she clearly didn't know the basics. I don't care if you had a bad day or what but you chose to work at McDonald's. if your gonna chose a job that deals with people Don at least be nice. I will say the guy that was at the window I didn't get his name he was shorter and was working with her he was so sweet and made our night after the bad encounter with Don. Had a problem with pricing and cashier counting money. The total in the screen said 14.65 so I gave the cashier 20.65 , but the total was actually 14.28 and instead of counting the change she just assumed I gave her 20.30 and gave me 2¢ as change when I was suppose to get 35¢ because I gave her extra change and she didn't tell me. Did not ask for that change back because I didn't think it was worth fighting for. Either way the cashier should have actually counted the change. read more

I went through the drive through at 2:15 am and knew it was gonna be a bit slower because it's later. I pull in and someone is in front of me and two cars are in front of them, no big deal I waited and pulled to the speaker. No one answered so I assumed they were busy so I waited probably ten minutes cuz I didn't know what I wanted yet. The ten minutes go by and I ask "hi are you ready or do you need more time?" (Since there's other cars in front of me" and a woman replies "I won't be serving you leave the drive through" very stunned I asked why and she said "leave the drive through now I have other customers to attend to" very harshly. I didn't understand why so I pulled away as she proceeded to serve every other customer. I found it extremely rude and got quite upset actually, I hadn't said anything out of the ordinary just waiting to place an order. That was the worst drive through experience I've ever had and it doesn't even make sense to me. If this is the staff they think is fit for the job they are sadly mistaken, this isn't the first incident I've had with this specific employee but this was the last straw. Today, I went in for two promotional specials this location had: "Buy One Get One" bacon, egg & cheese McGriddles; and, a coupon for a soft serve cone if you ordered from their new kiosks. First, the cashier was completely clueless about the latter, shuffling her feet and saying she "didn't know about that", then asking if I could show her the flyer to prove they were actually doing that promotion (luckily, I hadn't thrown it away), at which point her superior showed her where to get the coupons from uner the counter. Second, even though I specified on the kiosk that both of the McGriddles were supposed to substitute WHITE CHEDDAR, both of them came with their American crap. Third, when I took the sandwiches back up, rather than make new ones, they simply took the ones I had and replaced the cheese without even bothering to warm the cheese or the griddle cakes. This place needs to be punished. McDonalds is a fast food restaurant. As a customer, I have certain expectations based on the years of positive experiences I have had there. If I place an order and the product cannot be delivered in a reasonable time frame 2-5 minutes, then someone at the restaurant should manage the expectations before taking the order. We ordered a fry and a breakfast sandwich at 4pm. If the breakfast sandwiches cannot be delivered right away, tell me how long it will take and ask me if I am able to wait. This should be common practice. 9 minutes after ordering we are asked if my daughter wants her fries while I am waiting. Really!!!, we are in a hurry and need to leave. "one second" 3 minutes later, still nothing. I tell the girl on staff I no longer want the sandwich and my daughter and I left. I think she tried to get a refund to me but we needed to leave and I did not even acknowledge her. My blood pressure was boiling after 12 minutes.
