I had a great conversation with the owners and cook, Gus, and his lovely wife behind the counter. I ordered the lamb gyro plate with the french fries - and Gus said, you can get fries anywhere, try my rice! And so he served up the rice and asked me to try it right then and there. I asked for my feta on the side, and again he was insistent I try it then. The portions are gigantic - it was enough for at least 2 meals. We talked about his background in ethnic cooking. I was impressed they opened up around the time Covid-19 was raging and they've managed to stay in business despite opening up during a difficult time. Heffers I could tell that I had gotten less meat and there was barely any oil and the sandwich was mostly onions. No, I have no problem with onions, but that was a huge amount of onions and I know when I've been cheated out of meat normally they load it. I barely tasted the beef.
